Cat Ruchalski is an outgoing spirit who places great value on the human connections she has built throughout her life. Whether hiking with friends or chilling with her husband Josh and their son Fin, she’s all about making time for the people that matter most. In fact, it was while shooting a friend’s wedding that Cat found her calling, combining her photo-journalism background and love of people into a career. An adventurous spirit full of extroverted energy, when the wedding band starts playing she’ll be the first up and the last to sit down. Cat prides herself on being more than just another photographer. She’s a friend first and will be there to root for you from the sidelines whilst capturing stunning images of your big day.

She chatted with us as we were getting ready and really felt like one of the wedding party. She had great ideas for locations and poses and we received hundreds of the most beautiful pictures, that truly told the story of our wedding day from start to finish. aphers that were busy, and was so happy to have found her. She wasn't the cheapest estimate I found, but I remember choosing her because all of her photos were so candid and didn't look forced/posed. She also was the most genuine in her responses over Instagram, whereas other photographers would just copy/paste a generic "email me here" link. I was SUPER LUCKY to get her on short notice back then, and am looking forward to our next big photo-related occasion because I'll definitely be calling her. The most memorable part of our time with her was on my wedding day, where it was pure chaos, like most. My friends and family were all busy getting the decor ready for the wedding area, so literally not a single person besides the make-up artist I hired was helping me. As I rushed to get dressed, Cat walked in, and I remember apologizing for not being ready yet, but she was just so easy-going about it that she actually helped me finish up getting dressed and even lent me a hair clip :') this sounds like such a simple thing, but on one of the most important days of my life, nobody else was available, and Cat stepped in without hesitation to help me relax and finish getting dressed. Oh, and when I got the photos... wow. I still go back through them and am just shocked she was able to capture such genuine moments between my husband and I. Cat was the absolute best, and I'll be forever grateful that she was able to capture such perfect photos of the most hectic day of my life! Also, they are all such incredibly flattering photos, and I have never been a photogenic person. Simply put, Cat is genuine, kind, and incredibly skilled/talented. Stop looking at reviews now and just hire her, I guarantee you won't regret it.

ad pinned onto my photo idea board, I now wish I had only added more. She captured the day amazingly from the start of my morning all the way to driving off in the limo. The extent she went to capture the photos was outstanding. I will be recommending her wholeheartedly 100% to all my friends who in the future will be getting married or have any need at all for a professional photographer. We exchanged our engaged session for a day after sunset session, best idea ever, we just didn't have enough time before the wedding to do the engagement session. The photos she took of that day after were just the cherry on the top of the wonderful wedding. I love how all my photos turned out and will treasure that day even more with the amazing photos. The second shooter she had with her was just as good. She was with my husband and his guys the morning of, and they ALL only said how fun and easy she made it. I definitely recommend having a second shooter, the different angles and shots she got add to the story of the day in photos. questions to help us express our style and desires for the day. She really knew what she was doing so we felt excited and at ease about choosing her to shoot our wedding. She does something fun where she gives you a "sneak peek" couple of photos within the next couple of days after the shoot so you can share pictures with people almost immediately, and have some great shots to get you excited about getting the rest of them (which took maybe 2 or three weeks to get them back, and we LOVE them.). We love her style, and highly suggest you choose her!
