wedding and booked a few cabanas, chaise lounges, and activities at the Beach Club the day after, so we had a full weekend, and she took such good care of us during our time there. She really went above and beyond to make our wedding day and entire wedding weekend so special for us, our families, and our guests. A few issues came up through the course of the weekend, but she handled them so calmly, quickly and kindly that it put me at ease during what can be a super stressful time. I had a bunch of questions during the planning phase, and she always did her best to accommodate me and make sure I had everything I needed. I was also super grateful for the little things like when she brought us appetizers while we were taking photos, or when she asked me what I wanted to drink during dinner. It meant a lot to me that she made sure I was pampered. Our experience was so great that I wish we could do it all over again! Thanks Lindsy!!

staff and venue were perfect. They saved what could have been a horrible memory for my Daughter, Son-in-law and parents. I want to express our thanks to Chris / Lindsy and DJ Les for doing an amazing job with trying to ease the stress, disappointment and angry we felt after the ceremony. Let me begin with saying the wedding planner - Catherine Machado should have her license revoked! She allowed the wedding to begin WITHOUT CHECKING TO SEE IF THE OFFICIANT WAS THERE - READY AND IN POSITION. The wedding party was in place, groom in place, bride and father ready to walk down the isle - wedding march playing AND NO OFFICIANT! The officiate - Reverend Mark was not on site. The one moment we've been waiting for the past 29 years - was taken from us - GONE. I can't even express the utter disappointment. Realizing what was taking place I scrambled and asked a dear friend of our family to step in and attempt to save what was a most uncomfortable and sad situation in front of all of our family and friends. He did a fine job under the circumstances, but by then our daughter, son-in-law and both sets of parents were beyond disappointed. WARNING - be very careful which vendor you select on the island. Because it's a destination event you may feel that you should pick a vendor that's on the island. I'm not saying that ALL vendors on the island are not good choices. Our DJ, photographer, florist did their jobs as contracted. FYI - The wedding coordinator CATHERINE MACHADO told us that this has never happened in the 20+ years she's been doing weddings. WHO CARES!!! Well Ms. Machado - it happened at our Daughter's wedding! We only had one shot at it - and you didn't do your job! SHAME ON YOU!!!! Proud Mother of the Bride

Island with a few companies. We chose Catherine's Terrace through The Island Company and we are so happy we did. We worked with Eileen and Alicia and leading up to the wedding they helped us tackle every challenge. (Getting married on an island in winter had some challenges lol) Our wedding and reception came out better than we could have imagined. So so happy with the entire process.

Our wedding ended up being beautiful and almost everything we dreamed of, but the stress and anxiety the management company brought us in the months leading up the event hardly make this location worthwhile. When we went for a tasting, the food was AMAZING. However, most of the options we were presented weren't available to us at our location. So why offer them in a tasting? Or at least mention during the tasting that not all of the items would be available to us. The items that were available, ended up looking NOTHING like the food we'd been presented at the tasting. I couldn't even tell what was what on our wedding day. We would wait weeks and months for our wedding coordinator to get back to us after multiple calls and emails. When we would reach out to her boss for help, she would finally get back to us full of excuses. About 3 months before our wedding, her response time to us got so bad that to make it up to us, she threw in a bunch of free stuff like a champagne toast, A/V equipment use, etc. She also made an appointment for us to come out to the island and do a final walk-through of the venue. Not only did she forget about our appointment after we'd trekked by ferry from Los Angeles JUST to meet with her, when we finally tracked her down at the venue, we were shocked to discover the place was entirely under construction!! She hadn't even warned us that our venue was under construction. There were port-a-potties in one corner of the venue and a fence blocking a big pile of dirt and a bulldozer in another corner. We immediately requested a new coordinator, who seemed much more on top of everything until she overcharged us $5000 2 days before our wedding weekend, taking our stress levels to the highest possible point. During our wedding, which was concurrent with another wedding on the lawn section, the coordinators assured us that security would be monitoring all entrances to keep non-guests out and that the coordinators would make sure the two weddings' ceremonies and announcements were timed so as not to interrupt either one. There were streams of intruders - with dogs even!! - that just strolled through our event. I'm pretty sure I saw a couple of strangers help themselves to the open bar. The other wedding's announcements were started during the middle of OUR ceremony and my brother had to get up in the middle of the ceremony to go yell at a coordinator to take care of it. This is a beautiful venue and seemingly more affordable than other beach locations in Los Angeles. But the lackadaisical attitude of the management company and their bait and switch mentality prevents me from feeling comfortable ever recommending this venue to anyone.

there (Jessica Marical) was fabulous. She went above and beyond and we really enjoyed getting to know her as a person.
