Catamount was the perfect setting for our winter wedding. We got married at the Lakehouse out on the deck overlooking the (snow-covered) lake. The photos were absolutely phenomenal! The Catamount crew did a really great job of flipping the dining room from ceremony to dinner reception while our guests enjoyed cocktails and a custom coffee/cocoa bar. We also got so many compliments on the amazing meal. The food was all hot and fresh. It didn't at all seem like a mass-cooked meal. So many of our guests said it was in the running for best meals they've ever had. The chef and his crew did a fantastic job. The entire staff was so kind and helpful throughout the day. Christy was slightly hard to reach at times, but was super helpful in the month before the wedding as we tied up loose ends and wrapped up details of the day. I highly recommend Catamount for your Steamboat Wedding.

Getting to our wedding day was awful. Nikki, the event coordinator for Catamount was the worst. She was rude and unresponsive. She was not only rude to us, but to our wedding planner and parents. It is a shame because we spent SO much money. The venue is beautiful and our wedding day was perfect. The food was also decent. However, it was not worth the trouble of dealing with Nikki. If you are thinking about Catamount, reconsider it. There are many beautiful venues in Steamboat. If we could go back, we would. Catamount is so overpriced and overused that they truly don't care about customer service or the wedding experience.

This place was amazingly beautiful, and the staff really had their act together. The contact person, Nikki, comes across as a little harsh, but it's because she really knows her stuff and what's important. I was shocked at how well they took care of things I never even thought of on the actual day. With no wedding planner, the professionalism of the staff at Catamount was really a blessing. I also can't leave out the delicious food! Everyone at the wedding said it was the best food they ever had at an event.

Getting a hold of people before the wedding was sometimes difficult, but on the day of everything was perfect, and exactly the way I wanted it.

We got married at the Lake House at Lake Catamount, which is operated by Catamount Ranch and Club. The venue is on the smaller side but is beautiful. The surrounding area and location for the ceremony itself is breathtaking. Nikki, the coordinator is helpful but could be a bit warmer and friendlier. Bartenders were great, service staff was okay. They did not set aside a plate of appetizers for my husband and myself. We could have asked for this in advance but this is typically standard procedure for weddings, especially at a place that does lots of weddings over the summertime. My husband and I work in restaurants so we expect a certain level of service. The food was great and the food came out in a timely manner. Everyone had a great time and overall it was a perfect venue. Only minor qualms with the service. I do still highly recommend this venue if you are looking for a beautiful setting in the mountains!
