Catered Sounds DJ Service

navigating around the unexpected and improvised. We were supposed to have a receiving line.....well that didn't happen. So we had to change the timeline to accommodate. And he worked directly with the caterers to make sure it would all work out. My sisters and my cousin had some on the spot changes with pranks and performances, and he went with that. He plugged my phone in to play a song from there. He just up and did it any time I said "ok can we play this one now? " and just trucked on through the whole reception with ease! Working with Matt and Tom was like working with your next door neighbor. They were friendly, common sense, kind, and FLEXIBLE. My only word of warning to brides, don't get caught up on the online planning too much. Things change, people request things, etc. In hindsight (for me) it was a bit of a waste of time.

himself. Unlike some DJ's. And his prices are so reasonable. Thank you!

ble and personable, he went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly between different things we had planned for the evening! Thanks again for making our night special! The Myers family

e entire wedding/reception running smoothly and went above and beyond to make sure my guests were having fun. He was incredibly gracious and helpful during the planning and throughout. And, you absolutely can not beat their prices. I so very highly recommend Catered Sounds to anyone looking for a DJ service. You will not be disappointed.

ry reasonably priced for the quality of work they do! They are easy to work with, very flexible, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have an online site they use that allows you to update details for them including music selections (must play, play if possible, do not play list), day of timeline, and other important details. Matt (our DJ) was even able to create a packed dance floor on the first song played! Matt was a great MC, but I also liked how he only MC'ed during important transitions (before toasts, cake cutting, formal dances), and didn't "make the night about him" as the DJ. He took music requests from guests as well! Highly recommend!!!

made suggestions to modify our timeline to keep people dancing. Everyone commented how much fun they had and Matt had a huge part in that. Their online website was easy to use and helped me so much. I would definitely recommend.

y on her dress, to helping us make the timeline run smoothly. The music he played was appropriate and fun and kept the dance floor packed all evening!!!

the dance floor full and made everyone have a great time. Would use again and again!

hearsal which was not expected at the time of booking him but really but the bride's mind at ease about how the day would run. Day of he made sure everything was right on track and was on top of the announcing. He kept the party going and really knew how to choose the right songs. He even worked secretly with my dad for him to surprise me with a father daughter dance. Our wedding day would not have been so perfect without the help and service from Tom. I would recommend Catered Sounds to anyone in a heart beat.

really nice. He kept our wedding on track and was great with keeping everyone dancing. Tom helped us to shorten our special dance songs to just a couple minutes each, and last minute too. That was really appreciated. He also brought some uplighting, which I didn't even know I was getting so that was an added bonus! We did not hire a videographer, but Tom set up a little camera on his table and said he will be sending us a video of our first dance and other special dances! I can't wait to see! I would definitely recommend Catered Sounds to anyone looking for an affordable DJ who also does an above-and-beyond job!

o very helpful with the order of events, releasing guests to the buffet line, and in general keeping everything going all evening. His lights were also an added bonus on the dance floor. Just overall very pleased with his service and would highly recommend this vendor.

enough to my friends and family for their future events!! He was perfect!!

icky brides--like me! He was so helpful and supportive through the planning phase: if his catalog of 55,000 songs didn't include the arrangement I wanted, he found it for me. He was comfortable with all of the classical music played for my outside wedding (through his wireless system), providing mics for the officiant and my groom and even finding my mom's jazz requests for dinner and dancing. And then he played all the party and dance numbers--he managed to get everyone up and dancing!. I will confess that he had my beloved Disney songs too! Tom's MC skills were great, everyone could work with him. A top recommendation for Catered Sounds for your wedding and reception!

guests have asked us who DJ'ed our wedding- they were so impressed. If you are looking for a quality, professional DJ, look no further. Tom is absolutely your man! Denise & Taylor, June 3, 2017

mmodating. Made sure he had everything correct and was very involved with the wedding party so everything went great. If you want an amazing DJ that won't take away from you and your wedding this is the guy to go with. That "Get what you pay for" does NOT apply here. Very reasonably priced and yet much better than the big DJ companies in town!

apart of every piece of the weekend to make sure he has all of the information and is well prepared! The party was a blast, everyone enjoyed the music. He is professional and has the most experience of many vendors we spoke with. So thrilled with Tom and Catered Sounds!!!

d we liked that we could adjust the length of his service if need be.

g the bridal party introductions because we switched it up at the last minute so he announced the wrong names, but nobody really cared and it was forgotten shortly afterwards. He did a great job of keeping the night flowing and he was very nice and fun.

food for me. Very sweet. ;)

website which you go through to pick out your music, list bridal party names, time frames, etc. He is also extremely affordable. I had to call Tom on a question, and he was friendly and helpful. I also had his stepson sing at the wedding. He did a wonderful job, and was very entertaining with his Dean Martin songs! Mr. Faris also took very good care of us and made sure we were able to eat. That said, I was very disappointed that very few of the songs I had chosen for the general dancing were played. He also forgot to have the pastor bless the food before we ate. I did give him my list at the last minute on his deadline, and didn't know if that had something to do with it. I am wondering if I misunderstood, and maybe the songs I picked out were simply to be added to what he already had lined up. Not sure what happened there, but ended up with a genre of music that I didn't even like. I would still recommend Mr. Faris overall. Just make sure there is an understanding that ALL of your music will be played or how exactly that works.
