We chose Catering By Brun's for our wedding at The Morris Arboretum. John and Joe were both amazing people to work with! From the beginning John was so flexible with all of the options and menu ideas. He really worked to stay within our desired budget, but still gave us quality, delicious options. All of the food was delicious, and we received many compliments about it at our wedding! Joe was also a pleasure, organized and accommodating from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend this family as a caterer for any wedding event! Great quality and wonderful people! Our wedding was amazing in large part to them!

John and Joe Bruno were amazing to work with! John was so accommodating and clearly cares deeply about the food and recipes he prepares. He made our tastings special memories in and of themselves! Our guests still rave about the (truly delicious AND affordable) food, and we noticed plenty of clean plates on the big day. Joe was a rockstar at managing the day-of logistics, and he was really helpful during the planning process--asking questions we hadn't even thought of. Highly recommend these guys!

We went through Bruno's for our wedding and were so happy with their catering for many reasons. Mainly though, it was John and the food he provided. We did a tasting with him, and all of the food was delicious and well-priced, so we knew pretty quickly we wanted him to cater our wedding. However, we kept running into issues with the different venues, and John was very flexible and helpful throughout the process until we could find something that worked out. They provided some classic dishes, as well as interesting different ones like fried pickles and vegan and gluten free options that used our input. Everything was professionally handled and quite tasty!

Catering By Brunos was the perfect choice for catering our big (180 person) wedding. From the beginning of the wedding process up until the wedding day John helped us with all the planning, not just for the food but for all our tablecloths too! All of there food was so delicious that it was hard to pick what options we wanted to serve. My favorite was the chicken marsala! The staff did a great job at decorating and setting up our reception venue. They kept to the schedule we set for the day and everything was done professionally and efficiently. John also recommended Bredenbeck's Bakery for our wedding cake and their cake was delicious. It also made it easy for us because they put the cake on our catering bill and we only had to deal with paying one time! I would highly recommend them for any wedding.

John was amazing to work with!! He made us feel like family and was extremely willing to work within our tight budget. He blew our family away at the tasting with all his excellent food. From our first meetings at the restaurant to the "big day," he made sure that our experience was painless and even fun. Simply put: the food was great, the service was great, and our experience couldn't have been better. After our wedding we received numerous compliments about our food the professional staff, and we'll be recommending them to anyone who will listen! Our wedding was the best day of our lives, and their company was a big part of the success.

We used Catering by Brunos for our small wedding (11 guests) at Morris Arboretum. The service was excellent - they knew exactly how to cater at Morris and helped us navigate where food should go/how it should be set up/how the evening should be timed. The food was served family style which everyone really enjoyed because it was more casual and you got to try a lot of different dishes. We had an excellent experience with them and I would highly recommend.

My husband and I were planning a large reception and were doing our best to keep our budget in control. A friend who had a backyard reception for over 200 people recommended Catering by Bruno's to us. We quickly set up an appointment and after one meeting with John Bruno we were confident that we would be using him as our caterer. Our first tasting was pretty copious and then he had us bring our mothers in for another round. We were begging him at times to stop giving us food! As for the execution, Carmella, the events coordinator, was extremely professional and made sure the set-up and day of service was perfect. This is pretty simple Italian-style food, not extravagent or gourmet. But it tastes good, the price is right, and John, Carmella, and Chef Joe were genuinely concerned with making our day great.

My husband and I got married at the Morris Arboretum in Oct 2011 and chose to work with Carl Bruno at Catering by Brunos. It was the best decision we could have made for our wedding. Carl was an absolute pleasure to work with from the get go. He has plenty of sample menus you can work with but prefers to create a menu from scratch with his brides. Putting menus together is one of my favorite hobbies, so I had a blast putting it together. But beyond the food, Carl took on the role as the mediator between myself and venue (whose staff could be a little frustrating to work with) as well as wedding coordinator. He was able to get many ideas I had for the venue approved (after the staff initially told me no - like hanging lights in the tent or having a s'mores bar for dessert). His staff also set up all of my decor perfectly for both the ceremony and reception. Further, he arranged the dance floor rental and actually got the price of the rental reduced for us. He's simply a nice guy and you feel very comfortable leaving so many elements of your wedding in his hands. One thing to be aware of when working with Carl is that he's not always great about getting back to you right away. But he always, ALWAYS gets back before the deadline. He's also not great about checking his email (but I would just follow up an email with a quick phone call to let him know to look for the email). The last thing to bring up is price. His price point is extremely reasonable, and he was very willing to work within our budget. Overall, it was a great experience from beginning to end.
