*HOWEVER* - only hire this vendor if you don't mind that your texts/emails take weeks to get a return answer. You will get a return phone call very quickly and hear lots of "yes, of course" but there is no sense that anything is being written down or noted for your requests - he is relying on YOU to document everything and send it to him. In the end, they can *absolutely* pull off a spectacular party, so if you are very trusting, go with them. If you need to have more guidance or your questions answered... you may want to try elsewhere.

Pete was an amazing presence on wedding day as he worked with the rest of our vendors and his own team to execute everything perfectly. He ensured that my husband and I were served hors d'overs while we were taking photos and even left a tray of them in the bridal suite for us. He did a great job of prioritizing my husband and I while still taking fantastic care of our guests, some of whom have complicated allergies/restrictions.
The only slight frustration we felt with Catering by Christine was that, in the months leading up to the wedding, they could be difficult to get ahold of. But in the two weeks before the wedding, they were very communicative and on top of everything. We attributed this to their need to prioritize the events coming up more closely so we understood, but still got a little frustrated when an email went unreturned for a week or two.
Overall, I'd recommend Catering by Christine to anyone needing an event catered! They were helpful, professional, affordable, and good at what they do. Thank you Pete and Chrissy for helping with our perfect day!

Everyone, even my hard to please Father was blown away, and on our wedding day it was just as perfect. Chrissy helped with everything checking on me, my mom, my grandma. She made sure I wanted for nothing. My attendant Gabby was so sweet and made sure we kept eating and had fresh drinks all night. I wish we could do it again. On the day of, Pete and his staff arrived on time, were ahead of schedule with set up, and overall provided us with a fantastic evening. His staff were professional, accommodating, and friendly. onth later. We had a ~150 guest wedding with an outside cocktail hour and closed in tent reception, in the middle of November, and it was absolutely perfect. The catering company handled all of the table and set up the centerpieces and favors for us, we had personal attendants following us around with hors d'ouevres and making our plates for us (buffet style) so we didn't have to worry about a single thing!! I swear, the entire night, every time my drink got down to 1/4 full, someone was there to pluck it out of my hand and give me a brand new one. It was incredible, and the exact type of pampering I fully expect from my now husband for the entirety of my life :) Highly recommend. I will say I was nervous as we got closer to the wedding date because it felt communication and response time wasn't as quick as a nervous bride-to-be obviously wants, but when push came to shove they pulled through and were very communicative and easy going about any and all of our questions. Catering as a business is expensive in general for a wedding of our size, so I can't even complain about the cost given everything that they handled on our behalf - worth every single penny. Use them !!!!!

The day of our wedding- wow, we felt so special and so supported. Emma made sure we did not lift a finger or want for anything. She was extremely attentive, lovely and kind. 20, we arranged with Pete to cater our daughter's wedding at Penfield. Because of covid our daughter was married in our back yard with very few guests and a reception we catered ourselves. Pete allowed us to postpone the 2020 wedding party which became our Evening of Celebration on our daughter's second wedding anniversary. The planning was stress free. The food was excellent. There was a bit of a mixup where we did not know we would need to rent a few items for them to use (cook tent, stove), and had to add those to our rental order a week before. On our wedding day, though, I can’t say enough great things about them. Emma truly was so sweet — she kept giving my husband and I fresh drinks, made sure our table got food first, put aside apps for us and our bridal party, and just kept checking in (but was never in our face about it!). Truly SO many people talked about how good the food was. We served our dinner family-style, which made it more fun as well. The food was fantastic — apps, dinner, everything. We didn’t feel like we were eating “wedding food” at all, which was one of the most important things for us. We can't say enough great things about the food and the service. The Branford House is a bit tricky with not having a true "kitchen," but Pete has done weddings there a million times and I was not worried at all. Everything was seamless!

Everything was exactly as we had seen at the tasting and tasted the exact same. They made sure my husband and I really were taken care of, bringing the entire bridal party appetizers and drinks while we were taking pictures. I noticed them going up to my grandparents offering them drinks and to get them dinner from the buffet for them. These are just a few examples of how great the service was. Months later, people are still talking about how great of a wedding it was, but they talk especially high of the food and service provided by Catering By Christine. l point of contact they were professional, responsive and reassuring. Our tasting was the exact of what was served to all 140 of our guests. Guests are still raving about the food, bar and service. Emma our point of contact for the day really took our vision and made it happen. Her constant smile, calm composure and reassurance allowed Brian and I to fully enjoy our day and our guests. Her gentile reminders to eat and drink were so necessary as the nerves and excitement took over our minds. The appetizers were amazing and fun, something my guests were so impressed by. For dinner we chose to do a dual plate of filet and salmon and it was a total success. It was served within 15 minutes allowing more time for dancing. I highly recommend Catering By Christine for your big day; you won’t regret it!!!!

Our guests loved the food and we got many compliments during and in the weeks following our wedding about how tasty all the food was and how great it was to not have the normal wedding meal of dry chicken and beef. The four entrée choices were delicious. The sides and appetizers were amazing and I think they were the best part of the menu. Pete allowed us to do two menu tastings with no extra charge to make sure we had the menu right. For the day-of, Emma was amazing. I cannot say enough positive things about her. She was attentive, took charge of the ceremony timing, made sure my husband and I always had whatever food or drink we wanted, and was just overall really nice and fun to be around. The Catering by Christine team set-up all the tables, linen, bar, place setting, etc. so we basically did not need to worry about anything happening under the tent. Since it was a large backyard wedding, they basically filled in and took care of everything that needed to be done, even if it was not explicitly their job. The only difficult part of working with Catering by Christine is that Pete is slow to respond over email since he is very busy. I recommend calling and texting him to get a quicker response. But since there is a lot that goes into wedding catering, sometimes the only way to communicate what you want is over email (so that it is documented and you can refer back to it). So I learned to just email Pete and follow-up with a text or call to make sure he received my email.

My husband and I are foodies and we were so impressed with everything! My guests with similar love for food were also raving about the food. The appetizers were so tasty and plentiful! We did a plated dinner and it was quick and professional. Although my husband and I never had to go to the bar because of our personal attendant, our guests were never waiting on a drink. Because of all the work Catering By Christine and team did, my husband and I were really able to enjoy our wedding day!!

uvres and dishes. Pete was our initial point of contact and Emma provided our day of support. Emma was fabulous. If you go with Catering by Christine, I would recommend to ask who will be your day of support person and be in touch with them directly with any questions or concerns. Pete always made us feel comfortable and supported and was willing to work within our price range.

The food at our tasting was exactly what was served to every single guest at our 180 person wedding. Besides the presentation being picture worthy, the taste and quality was even better. I cannot say enough about how easy they made this day for us and how they greeted every single guest with a smile and care. od, they are also crucial to helping you plan and organize your day. We worked specifically with Pete, who helped orchestrate the entire day for us. Before the wedding, Pete and the Catering by Christine team gave us a spectacular tasting to help us plan our menu at a time that fit in our crazy schedule. We were blown away by the amount and quality of appetizers we were able to provide to our guests, and the entire team was willing to work with us to create custom dishes, even if they hadn’t done them before. Our venue (Branford House in CT) required us to bring in rentals, which Pete seamlessly facilitated on our behalf. His experience working at that venue numerous times before truly showed on the day itself. Pete personally helped set up the ceremony and reception space, and he ensured that our reception was exactly what we wanted. And this was all before the amazing food came out. Our assigned personal attendant, Emma, was a positive fixture of the day. She made sure that we, our wedding party, and our family had everything we could want. Our entire wedding party has commented on how enthusiastic and accommodating Emma was to us throughout the event. The Catering by Christine team’s experience and professionalism was clear, as they made the day run as efficiently and smoothly as could be. We never expected that our cater could fulfill so many crucial roles for us that day, and we never had to worry about any details on the day itself. Many of our guests, weeks after the wedding, have continued to reach out to us and said that their meals was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. We sincerely hope to go to an event catered by them again! Choose Catering by Christine to have phenomenal food, experienced service, and peace of mind in your wedding planning process and especially on your big day!

All our guests have been raving about the food, presentation, and the friendliness of all the staff. Having an attendant for the day was something I didn't know would be so wonderful. She was there to calm down my nerves before the ceremony, to greet us after with plenty of food and drinks for our entire wedding party was amazing.
