Catering by Mark

I couldn’t have picked a better Chef and his staff. Catering by Mark for my wedding reception was a perfect choice. The main entree’s and the hors d’oeuvres were delicious . The guest enjoyed them. Overall the staff were attentive and polite . I was very pleased. Thank you guys for helping and being part of our special day.

Mark was great to work with and is a very casual, easy-going guy. The food was very good, included wait staff service, appetizers, and dinner; he also offered to do a tasting before we committed at our home which other caterers did not offer even when they charged more! He has a wide menu of delicious food and we opted for lamb chops, brie bites, etc. for appetizers, and churrasco, chicken, pasta, salad, etc. for stations so that our guests could mingle as they stood to get their food rather than spend the whole time sitting down. We also had some complex dietary restrictions that he handled with ease. The Catering by Mark staff was excellent as well, and we felt everyone was well-taken care of during our wedding. They offer rental linens and napkins and plates, etc. but we opted for our own to save some money there, but you can't beat the prices on food compared to the high quality. Other vendors cost 2-3x more but we did not miss that one bit and are very happy we went with Mark and his team. One thing to note is that Mark works best with text/phone calls. He has other folks handle email/contract administrative tasks. Price range was about $50/pp + plate rentals + venue fees so we spent about $7000 then gave tips to the staff the day-of; and they operated close to our venue, the Living Sculpture Sanctuary. Since they were an outside vendor to the Sanctuary, we had to pay a fee but it was still worth it because their service to price ratio was very high compared to the vendors that the Sanctuary had pre-approved.
