before our wedding and each one gave us more confidence that we made the right decision with Bellyful. Our first tasting we had the Chicken Marinara and the Seasonal Pork Tenderloin (my favorite). Additionally at this tasting my wife, who didn’t like fish before these tasting, made the mistake of asking Abby what her best entree was, and Abby responded with the salmon. So at our second tasting, we tried that and now my wife is cooking salmon! But I digress. Between our two tastings we tried three different entrees and a salad. We originally wanted two entrees, but since the three were all equally good, we decided with three (Chicken Marinara, the Seasonal Pork Tenderloin, and the Salmon). People loved the food at our wedding and still continue to talk about it! We had two grazing boards during our cocktail hour and for our sides we went with vegetable medley, roasted potatoes, and the pear salad (which was incredible and I will think about for the rest of my life). Abby was also very helpful on so many different levels. A month out from our date our original venue was unexpectedly closed down. We let Abby know and she provided a list of places for us to consider and even called to check in on how the search was going. While our biggest concern was to secure a new venue that could accommodate our guest count (200 people), a very close second concern was making sure we were able to keep Bellyful. Thankfully it worked out. We also ordered bartender service through Bellyful and the service was great! Abby and Bellyful definitely made our special day even more epic and we highly recommend them to cater your event. The food was amazing and Abby and her team were incredible.

l the details about a week before the wedding and then I was able to enjoy the day with my friends and family without any issues! I will note that sometimes there seemed to be a lapse in communication a few months before the wedding, likely to their very busy schedules but none of this was seen within the last month prior which made my stress level decrease tremendously! So happy to have them there for our big day and even happier to have the leftovers to keep enjoying!

They were so patient with all our questions and Abby's assistant, Jamie, was always so pleasant to communicate with. ur wedding and everything was presented beautifully! All of our guests raved about the food we had (this was one of my biggest concerns about having a wedding- seems like every wedding I've been to, people complain about the food!) and even request to have some of our left overs because of how good it was! We had lots of left overs and it was really sweet that Abby donated a lot of the left over food to a homeless shelter (after asking us of course!). My dad asked me after my wedding if the lady working the catering was Abby (it was!) and commented on how sweet she was and said he was very impressed with her and the rest of her crew! Definitely recommend Bellyful for any catering needs!

perfect. I am so grateful we chose her as a caterer for our daughters' wedding. She didn't freak out in the midst of planning during a pandemic but she was super- flexible, of calm demeanor and so understanding. She really wants the customer to be happy. That being said, her food was fresh, hot, plentiful and lastly sooooo delicious. We had great feedback that everyone loved it for our large wedding. We had the Prosciutto Chicken, the pork tenderloin with marionberry sauce, the asparagus, roasted red potatoes, pear salad and her fresh Charcuterie was perfect and fresh for the guests between ceremony and dinner time. My favorites were the pear salad and the chicken but everything else was amazing as well. Everything was cooked perfectly and timely and everyone was well fed. She and her team are hard working and professional and helped creatively serve our large wedding well in the crazy summer of 2020. I will definitely utilize her business again.

y met a more pleasant person than Abby West to help me plan and implement our mid-September 2020 wedding for our daughter. Abby was available by phone and e-mail whenever we needed to make a change to menu items and timing. Second, my daughter was hoping that our wedding menu, over two days, could be prepared on-site. Abby and Michelle delivered wonderfully, including using the kitchen and barbecue grill at the wedding home to ensure that our guests received their food exactly to their tastes. Third, no menu detail is too small or unimportant for Abby and her staff. In our case, the Grandfather of the bride is gluten intolerant. For Sunday brunch, Abby prepared a cornucopia of fresh baked gluten free pastries. She also included a handwritten sign, “Baked for Grandpa Ken” that made our patriarch feel very special. Fourth, during these COVID times, Abby and Michelle wore full face masks at all times. I appreciated this and so did our guests. I also appreciated Abby taking full responsibility for cleaning up after each serving – one less thing to worry about!! Fifth, the price quote, for the two days of multiple menus that I approved was itemized and the final invoice was exactly the same amount. I am very impressed with Abby’s financial planning skills to allow her to deliver on her pricing commitments. In closing, for your special wedding day, I highly recommend the menu planning, price estimating and implementation skills of Abby West and her accomplished staff at Bellyful Catering Company!

my daughter went to her food sampling she knew right away that Bellyful was exactly what she wanted. It was absolutely perfect both the Rehearsal and Wedding Dinner. Our grazing table was just a sight - beautiful cheeses, fruits and meats. The Salmon with lemon aioli and the Chicken was cooked to perfection. Definitely COVID safe.

One of my favorite things was how transparent she is - all of her prices and fees are listed on her website. I am so grateful for Abby and her crew, our dinner was delicious and served safely. The best thing about it is that they cook/grill the meat onsite, so everything smelled amazing and was fresh! We chose the Cedar Plank Salmon, and Flank Steak package, it was wonderful! And the dinner was amazing. It was beautifully presented, well maintained, and bursting with flavor. And even though we didn't have hot wings as part of our menu, Abby went out of her way to create a small plateful for my husband because she understood just how much he loves wings! The staff also got our plates all set up and filled with food so that they were all ready for us at the head table. That way we didn't have to go through the buffet line. Seriously, this caterer is phenomenal, and you guys will not regret hiring them.

were absolutely FANTASTIC, I figured that our actual wedding dinner would still be really good but definitely not as great since cooking a single portion for two is much different than catering for 120. Well I was wrong, so so wrong! Our wedding day came and the food was just as amazing. The tenderloin was melt in your mouth tender and the halibut was moist and flakey. We only got to see pictures of the appetizer arrangement, which was absolutely gorgeous and looked so delicious. Our guests must have thought so too, because it was demolished by the time we came in for our grand entrance! We got so many compliments on the food, and it was all we ate the next few days until we left on our honeymoon. I wish I could hire Abby to cater all my life events, and I am so happy I picked her to cater our wedding. Her pricing system is straight forward and makes it easy to know exactly what your catering cost is going to be, an aspect of her business I really appreciated. No surprise fees! Please book Abby for any of your catering needs, you won’t regret it! It will some of the best food you’ll ever have!

get things done. Throughout the planning stage, she was prompt to respond to questions and always had answers. On top of being trustworthy, her food is DELICIOUS! Our guests have repeatedly told us that it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We did a pre-ceremony cocktail hour and had Abby do a cheese and charcuterie board... it was a work of ART. So many people took photos and continue to tell us how beautiful it was. The crab cakes, steak with chimichurri, salmon, orzo pasta... I could go on and on. There wasn't a single thing we would have changed. I want to recommend Abby for all of my friends weddings so I can continue to eat her food.

The venue was outdoors in a remote area with no kitchen access which was an initial concern, but Abby reassured us that the food would be cooked onsite and of the highest quality for our 240 guests, and they definitely delivered! The whole team was professional, attentive, and the food was delicious! I would definitely recommend Bellyful to anyone needing catering in the Portland metro area.

and without a lot of the nickel-and-diming that a lot of catering companies do. Most things I needed were already included and we didn't have to add a lot on. I also appreciate that her service fee was reasonable (15%) compared to others' 18% or so. The catering arrived in a timely manner and was ready in a timely manner. I got a lot of compliments from guests on the food and the presentation was very nice. I like that Abby takes leftovers after the reception is done (and with your permission to do so of course) to various charity organizations/shelters. If every vendor did this, we could do a lot of good in the world. My one "opportunity for improvement" would be more timely communication since it could sometimes take awhile to get responses to emails or messages left, but I also know it was her busy season and everything else was great so I can't complain much. At the end of the day, I was very glad I went with this catering company and would definitely use them again for another function.

nded wedding, where I am from Indian origins and my wife is American. For our catering, we wanted our food pallettes to be blended similar to our cultures. So we planned a mix of Indian food - palak paneer, naan, samosas and comfort food - winter salad, mac n cheese and fried chicken. As a testimony to her awesome cooking, the samosas she baked as appetizers for us ran out before I (groom) could even get a chance to taste them. People complemented about her lemon bars as well, and were ever so curious to get the recipe. Abby's quote was also very very reasonable as compared to all the other caterers we had spoken with. She even provided us with a complementary food tasting prior to making any payments, so we can be certain that her food gets us excited. After the wedding when we had some food left over, she even agreed to box them up for us so it doesn't go wasted. We found it to be very easy to work with her, and customize our menu based on our tasting with her. I will give her 5 stars for excellent food, punctuality, excellent bartender services and overall satisfaction of all my guests with the catering. The only feedback I have is that given she is so busy with events lined up all through the year, and she takes the effort to prepare the food herself on most occasions while responding to customers, responses can be a bit delayed if you're used to same day replies.
