Catherine Guidry Photography

algically on this time of year. During the month of this time last year, it was crazy and stressful (and exciting!). But one thing I was not stressed at all about was the photography!! I had the pleasure of having Catherine do my bridal portraits several months before the big day. I got to meet her and feel comfortable with her and she is the most easy going person who you will feel like you’ve known ages. She will make you feel beautiful and excited and is very talented at capturing the most beautiful shots. I am also a very awkward camera shy person (my husband included!) and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. Especially now looking back at those photos a year later, just brings tears and smiles and the most beautiful memory to have. I know we will cherish these for the rest of our lives! If you’re on the fence, don’t be - Catherine will exceed your expectations and just know you are taken care of and photography would be one less thing to worry about!

ld work seamlessly with. That person was 100% Catherine. No detail too big or small phased her. Catherine was upbeat, energetic, and took so much care to make sure she got the photos that we wanted on our big day. I took Bridal Portraits with Catherine which was an amazing way to begin our relationship and made me so much more comfortable on the big day. On the wedding day, Catherine was enthusiastic and went with the flow. She has such an easy way about her and when she sensed I was getting stressed over something, calmly acknowledged the problem and assured me of a simple solution. With her leading the way through our long shot list, I never once got annoyed or frustrated. She was organized and on time, qualities you definitely want in a photographer. My favorite thing was probably her and her husband's presence at our reception. They always seemed to there right when I wanted them for a photo! And yet, I never felt like they were crowding me or my guests. Catherine, you were a joy to work with and I hope our paths cross again sometime soon!

mily :) Photography was a very big priority for me and a very low priority for my husband. After meeting and working with Catherine he is singing a very different tune. We planned our wedding from out of state and did all of our research online. I spent hours looking at different work from all different photographers and after talking to Catherine I cancelled EVERY other phone interview I had and put down my deposit. Many people forget that you spend your WHOLE wedding day with your photographer. This is NOT someone who is simply taking your photos. This is someone who is there while you are getting ready, putting your dress on, seeing your first moment with your husband, meeting all your family and friends and capturing your day. Catherine is the FULL package. She delivers exceptional photos, is so organized, directs photos and makes you feel comfortable. (She was wiping my dress with a baby wipe prior to ceremony because a little dirt had got on it...are you kidding?! Wedding savior!) Catherine's second shooter was her husband Brad and they are DREAM TEAM. During our first look my husband started to get hangry Brad didn't skip a beat and ran over to Morning Call to grab waters and a snack. These two are INCREDIBLE. Five stars is NOT enough for Catherine and her team. To anyone reading this wondering if investing in photography is worth it, the answer is 100% yes! Thank you for a DREAM DAY Catherine!

a great job making us feel comfortable and relaxed the entire day. The pictures are absolutely beautiful and we got them so quickly! Catherine is definitely one of the most talented photographers in the Louisiana area! At the end of the night, my husband and I felt like we had known her and Brad forever- they are truly amazing and talented people!

d, and confident personality! She is truly the best photographer in Lafayette! We are so grateful she was available to photograph our wedding! You won't be disappointed when you go with Catherine!

gs back all the happy, sweet, and fun moments of our wedding! She is also such a sweet person and so easy to work with. She made taking pictures fun and not feel like a chore (like can sometimes happen when your taking a ton of pictures in such a short time period). She even takes the time to understand the couple and family dynamics (because we all have family drama) to make sure the night goes smoothly and all of the pictures you want are taken. I can't say enough good things about her and I promise, if you hire her as your photographer, you will have no regrets. She's worth it!

fessional/organized. Being the youngest of 4 siblings, I have always told myself that a photographer is the most important vendor in the wedding process as they are the ones who will provide you treasures to truly last your lifetime. The day I met Catherine to discuss possible ideas for engagements, bridals, and the wedding itself, I felt like I had known her forever. Her genuine spirit and passion for what she does, spoke through her knowledge, loving heart, and kind words. Catherine made my husband and I feel so at ease throughout the whole process and had us laughing and calm (which I tend to stress quite a lot!) during engagements, my bridals, and our wedding day. She has a knack for knowing her couples and sensing which photos and poses would be work for them. I am in awe of our photos from our wedding day and the details she focused in on that mean so much to my family and I. I have the utmost respect for Catherine as a professional and I am eternally thankful for her care and friendship. Thank you for giving us your whole heart throughout our wedding journey and making the stress of the special time disappear. Ryan and I (plus my sweet parents) feel so blessed to have met you and have had you as our photographer!

e that you get every single combination of pictures you want. She is very organized and so much fun to be around. I felt completely taken care of the entire day. We got our photos very fast after the wedding and she did an incredible job. I had high expectations after seeing her work online, but the photos exceeded even that. She also remembered everyone's name in the wedding, which made us feel like we were unique to her. Cannot recommend her highly enough.

h her on the phone/met her it confirmed every more so the reason that we chose to use her. Catherine is an incredible person and her work not only exudes that. She is so genuine, professional and so great to work with!! We had an unusually large wedding party and on the day of the wedding it was so impressive that she knew EVERYONE'S name. She made everyone feel important and I loved that so much. We are so grateful for her work and I would highly recommend to over and over again! I am so happy that I made a new friend in Catherine!

so extremely organized on our wedding day- she made sure she got the photos we had discussed and fixed all the details (my hair, dress, whatever!) to make sure everything looked its best. More importantly, Catherine and Brad are so inviting, I felt comfortable with them after only a few minutes of meeting them in person. It is so easy to see that they are genuine, extremely kind people who are following their passion! I feel so lucky that I had Catherine photograph my wedding and she will be the first person I call whenever I need a photographer!! I cannot sing her praises enough. Thank you Catherine and Brad so much, yall are amazing!!

easy to be with. It's awesome she uses film and digital! She was so organized through the whole process and really made me feel confident everything was going to be great!

ore choosing my photographer and I definitely chose THE BEST! Catherine was so much fun to work with, and was completely professional throughout the entire process. She was extremely organized and made my wedding day stress free while still keeping us on schedule! She is very passionate about her work and it definitely shows. I have received countless compliments on all the wedding photos and I owe it all to Catherine. I truly cannot thank her enough for capturing the best day of my life in such a beautiful way!

he is also very organized and stays on top of things as far as receiving invoices and your photos on time. She also kept us on top of things the day of the wedding which was awesome since it is such a high stress, whirlwind day. I would recommend her to anyone!

she will shoot our future baby pictures! :) When I met Catherine it was like we were old friends. She made my husband and I feel so comfortable & enjoyed every second of taking our wedding pictures. She also shot my bridal portraits which were incredible. She shoots a variety of "poses" in film & digital and never made me feel rushed or uncomfortable. Catherine is also easy to get in touch with and no matter how busy she is, she makes herself available. She is truly a breath of fresh air when it comes to planning a wedding. I adore Catherine & would hire her 100 times over as our wedding photographer! She's wonderful!!!!!

made my extremely shy groom very comfortable throughout our time with her). Top that with the fact that her work is absolutely stunning, and it's a winning combination. I could not have found a better photographer to capture our special moments, beginning with engagement photos and ending with magnificent coverage on our wedding day. I have the utmost respect for Catherine as a professional, and she has my eternal gratitude as an artist and friend. Thank you so much for making our wedding day such a success, and thank you for capturing memories we will forever hold dear.

h for us and our wedding, as we began our communication process, she ensured to always answer all my questions, she provided many suggestions when I felt lost, and she was always on top of everything. Catherine is not only a beyond talented photographer, but she is an amazing person to work with. I wanted someone to capture timeless and classic moments for our wedding, and she definitely did just that! Catherine is and will always have a special place in our hearts, we will forever be grateful for her amazing talents.

nd Catherine. She is so easy to work with and has incredible talent! She did my bridals and engagement photos prior to the big day and after each session, I got a better idea of the "must have" photos I wanted for the wedding. I had a blast on our wedding day but it went by in such a flash. Catherine beautifully photographed our entire wedding day so that we can relive the memories of such a special moment. And when there were some schedule bumps that morning causing some stress, Catherine was AMAZING at keeping up an upbeat spirit to help everyone feel a bit calmer. She was a big hit - both our families fell in love with her and raved about how kind and helpful she was and then raved about her talent once they saw the photos! I strongly recommend Catherine! Her sweet, easy going personality allowed me to feel more comfortable voicing my likes vs disklikes and her upbeat energy definitely helped make the photo shoots not only easy but SUPER FUN! :)

hearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and reception were well-thought out and beautiful. She was easy to contact and quick to respond, straight forward, organized, and seemed to really care about doing a fabulous job...she went above and beyond to make our experience great, even helping me with a few wardrobe malfunctions haha! The photo books that I ordered through her are high quality and perfect on our coffee table- I receive so many compliments. Some of the bridal prints I ordered came out very dark due to a misprint from the printing company she uses, and she quickly and without question sent me perfect replacements. It was a pleasant surprise to receive all of our digital pictures discs so timely. I would highly recommend her!

home...until I met Catherine. From our very first meeting, I felt like I had known Catherine forever. Plus, she was amazing resource for other local vendors- like my great makeup artist (who I adored). Our engagement pictures were so fun, we laughed and cut up the whole time- despite the fact it was a scorching 90 degree September day. The bridal portraits were no different (except the weather), Catherine made me feel so comfortable and beautiful and the pictures showed it. Where to start on the wedding day, #1 it was perfect because it was our wedding day, #2 Catherine was awesome. She was every where- but not in an annoying in your face way- but a subtle fly on the wall kind of way. And her 2nd shooter, Amelia, is about as sweet as she can be. I'm not sure if my memory is fuzzy or if our wedding really was as gorgeous as the pictures Catherine took, but either way, we got some pretty darn amazing pictures. She captured everything- sweet looks between my parents at the ceremony, pictures of the food (which I don't remember at all), funny candid shots of our guests. My fiance and I couldn't have dreamed of more perfect pictures to capture our special day. I wish I could have another wedding so I could use Catherine again.

ame highly recommended by a friend & I'm so glad we went with her! She's professional, listens to every last request and very organized! From our first look photos to the bridal party, to all the reception details - she captures it all!! I am excited to have such beautiful photos to help us remember and relive our special day!

r a consultation to meet & further discuss our wedding reception. She was always 10 steps ahead of us. She catered to our every need, even beyond photography. Her work is absolutely gorgeous & our photographs greatly exceeded our expectations. We cannot wait to have Catherine for our next special event!

ine. Catherine photographed her wedding SO beautifully that I knew instantly that I had to find out more about her. I spent weeks researching other photographers and randomly decided to search Catherine's blog. The personal video on her website completely sold me. It is evident in her eyes that she LOVES what she does and has an eye for everything special. As if that wasn't enough to seal the deal, I took the opportunity to attend a bridal expo and finally met her in person. Embarassingly star struck (because Catherine is a pretty big deal in Lafayette), I KNEW that I had to have her photograph our special day. Since then, Catherine has done everything in her power to provide the most professional and stress free experience for Spencer and I. From replying to emails within a few hours to helping us keep a smooth schedule on the wedding day....she never disappointed. Our detailed and beautiful wedding photos allow me to re live those special moments every single day for the rest of my life! I feel like THAT should be a primary goal in a photographer and Catherine did just that. Thank you Catherine for making our day everything I ever dreamed it would be. You are the definition of INCREDIBLE. Spencer and I are so blessed to have met you, to have been one of your clients, but more importantly to now be able to call you a great friend. To undecided brides/grooms: It is so apparent from the numerous reviews you've already read that Catherine is UNDOUBTLY a 5 STAR photographer and person. If you're reading all of this and still leave with doubts ... you are crazy! BOOK her now, you WON'T regret it....but be careful though, she may be booked for the next year already ;) With love and appreciation, Tuoi Nguyen Robichaux

by far my most memorable vendor from the wedding, and am so glad to have developed a friendship with a wonderful person. She not only captures beautiful photography's but truly loves her job, and gives her clients all of her positive energy and makes engagement, bridal, and wedding photography so incredibly fun! Wouldn't have changed a moment or picture-- by far the best photographer in Louisiana... Just saying!

dedicated to her job but she also takes the time to get to know you. She is very organized and efficient on the wedding day so posed pictures go by quickly. Our friends and family all called to say how amazing she was and we couldn't agree more!

e thrilled with the end results. She is such a professional and an artist.

r the day, and she was a joy to be around for the entire process. Highly recommend!

ng day exactly how you remembered it. Take a look at her website to see for yourself. catherineguidry.com Catherine also did my engagement and bridal pictures. I have received so many compliments on all of our pictures. Catherine made my husband and me feel at ease as she documented our love through photography. I truly believe upon first meeting Catherine you'll fall in love with her upbeat and spontaneous personality. She is passionate about her work, and it shows in how she is constantly growing professionally. I highly recommend Catherine Guidry Photography to any bride that wants her wedding documented in a creative, modern, and detailed manner. You won't regret it!

er because they are new so I'll save money and go with them" option and then they complain because their photographer took boring/overdone pictures, didn't help them come up with cute ideas for poses, and didn't command everyone's attention when getting group photos on the wedding day. Catherine not only came up with creative poses and ideas, she basically coordinated our entire wedding! We saw her work at a friend of our's wedding and before we were even engaged we knew we wanted her to do our wedding! Her pictures were so different than any of the many others we looked at (Hey, we gave other's a shot, but there was no competition!). Catherine knows what shots work, which don't, where the best light is at any given second, how to pose you so you look fabulous, and how to make your wedding day run smooth and STRESS FREE! Our engagements pictures were so different and fun and true to our personalities that literally everyone who has seen them comments on how great they are and asks us who took them! They were even published on freshsqueezedweddings.com! We wanted to incorporate lots of those pictures into our wedding day and Catherine was so sweet and willing to make our vision come true- including working with 2 rowdy dogs in our engagement pictures and my spirited Arabian horse in my bridals. She was willing to drive 2 hours away so I could have my bridals taken at our family farm (something Old South Photography wouldn't do for my sister!). On the day of the wedding, she worked so hard to get all the shots we wanted, including 2 pictures with 60 people that ran so smoothly, you think we practiced! Her second shooter Amelia was so sweet and such a blessing to have 2 photographers during the ceremony to catch both our expressions. THE PICTURES ARE THE ONLY PART OF YOUR WEDDING THAT WILL LAST ONCE THE DAY IS OVER. YOU WANT THEM TO BE PERFECT AND CATHERINE IS JUST THAT- PERFECTION!! She also blogs about all her couples on her website. She always make you feel so special and you can tell she truely cares. I will recommend her to EVERYONE!

. She's also very organized and has great business skills.
