Working with Catherine of Catherine Rhodes Photography was truly a dream from start to finish. As someone who doesn’t naturally love being in front of the camera, I was amazed at h...
ow effortlessly she made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire day. Catherine brought such a calming presence, offering thoughtful advice and helping every moment feel like us, never staged.
Even in the midst of a big, lively group including our 86-year-old grandparents and 10 nieces and nephews ranging from toddlers to teens, Catherine managed it all with grace, warmth, and ease. She made everyone feel seen and beautiful and somehow kept everyone happy. Her ability to quietly capture every important moment, without ever being intrusive, was remarkable.
We’ve only received our sneak peeks so far, and I’m absolutely blown away. They are stunning! Every image captures the spirit of the day, our personalities, and the joy surrounding us. As a biracial couple, we also deeply appreciated how beautifully she handled lighting and skin tone, her talent is unmatched.
Catherine not only delivered gorgeous photos, but also brought a sense of calm and professionalism that made our wedding day even more special. We can’t recommend her highly enough!
Catherine was our wedding photographer and I can't recommend her enough! She is easy going and makes all the photos FUN. She has captured our day perfectly. Her turnaround time for...

our wedding day. When selecting a wedding photographer, you want to ensure that the photographer is not only experienced with your venue(s) or style of decor but also that you feel comfortable with your photographer as they will be with you throughout the most intimate moments of your wedding day.
Catherine is a breath of fresh air while also feeling like home. She is kind, encouraging, positive, talented, and so much more. She makes you feel beautiful in ways that you never imagined you could be beautiful. On my wedding day, I felt so beautiful that when she showed me a sneak peek on her camera in the bridal suite, I started crying. I was that emotional over her photography (IN THE BEST WAY).
I had been to a lot of Catholic Churches in my lifetime and had no idea where I wanted to get married. Until I found a photo that Catherine took on Pinterest of all places. That one photograph that I found on Pinterest spoke to me so deeply - that's how I picked the Church. There was black and white tile that had a tie to my grandma who passed, someone I wish could have been with me on my wedding day.
Catherine's ability to capture that connection, without knowing it, and find a way for me to connect with my grandma in a photo from another wedding - I knew she was the photographer for me.
My family immediately fell in love with her work, just as much as my husband and I did. Her style of traditional, bright photography resonated with us. It's the kind of photos that are meant to be passed down from generation to generation and one I hope will be displayed at my grandchildren's weddings.
On the wedding day, Catherine made me feel like the most beautiful girl in the room. She captured even the photos I didn't know that I wanted captured. Photos that I will treasure forever. Catherine so kindly and gracefully dealt with our CRAZY groomsmen who went a little wild on the party bus. She knew the exact place for us to take photos with a limited timeline and created magic on a rainy day. Catherine captured my vision at the reception - every detail and every moment - so perfectly.
It was a true blessing and a great honor to work with Catherine as a bride. I am grateful she was a part of my wedding day and will be a part of my memory of that day forever. Thank you, Catherine!

day. We are just dying to see the full selection after seeing the samples! They were all that we hoped for in wedding photographers, they communicated well in advance to make the plan, they were on time/early for the wedding, they kept us all moving to insure we got all the shots we wanted and kept to the schedule while still being warm and friendly the entire time.

s one of the many reasons we picked her for our big day! Our images turned out beautifully and she captured all of the special moments of our wedding. Catherine even shared sneak peeks the Monday following (wow!) and had the full album to us 2 weeks after our wedding. Not only that, but she surprised us with printed highlight photos that were shipped to our home and were such a thoughtful gift when we returned from our honeymoon. On the day of, she was the utmost professional, helping us stick to our timeline and wrangle friends and family. Her associate was also wonderful and several people came up to me afterward saying how friendly both her and Catherine were. We are so grateful to have had Catherine capture our day, and if you have any doubt, we can assure you she is the best! <3

ng for in a photographer and Catherine checked every box.
When I inquired she sent over several full albums which was so helpful in getting to see all of the images she delivers. During the planning process she was super responsive and professional.
We did an engagement session with her and it was a great experience. She gives great direction during the shoot and makes you feel really comfortable. The images were gorgeous!
On our wedding day we couldn't have been happier we chose her as our photographer. She has such a sweet and easygoing personality and she's so upbeat, encouraging, and genuinely happy for you. We enjoyed spending the day with her as she captured so many beautiful pictures.
She delivered an amazing sneak peek the Monday after our wedding. She surprised us by sending a beautiful linen box with printed pictures of the sneak peek. It was so thoughtful! She delivered the full gallery quickly. We LOVE all of the pictures she captured. There's so many editing styles now, but Catherine's editing style is so timeless, beautiful, and true to life! The gallery she delivered had great variety.
We were so happy with Catherine! Hire her for your wedding, it'll be one of the best wedding decisions you make!!

er. She photographed our wedding and I can’t stop staring at our photos! She also creates amazing prints and albums, they are super high quality. Nothing in comparison to any online print shop that you could use on your own. Catherine created a photography wedding timeline and was so organized on our wedding day. She made everything flow so smoothly and made sure I got all the shots we wanted! Our wedding was incredibly windy but she made it work and all of our photos turned out amazing despite the wind. She also delivered our full wedding album way earlier than I had anticipated! Definitely look into her and hire her!!! You won’t regret it at all!!!!!

atherine is incredibly talented. Her portfolio speaks for itself, but her photos are beyond–truly stunning and ethereal. She is so kind-hearted and fun to work with, and she makes taking professional photos an absolute breezee. The entire planning process was seamless as well; she was available for all questions, big and small, and she worked so well with myself, my husband, my parents and our wedding planner.
Catherine flew to Savannah, GA for our engagements and traveled to KC for our wedding and was a gem through it all. I would HIGHLY recommend hiring Catherine for any of your wedding (or other) photo needs, whether you’re located in the Midwest, on the coast, or elsewhere. Photos were among my husband and I’s top priorities for our wedding day, and there was truly no better choice we could have made.

She put my mind at ease leading up to our big day, helping me to put together a timeline and a list of “must have” pictures. I know my Mom really appreciated this too, knowing we would prioritize capturing all of the important family pictures and special moments. The day of the wedding, Catherine was such a calming presence! Not only did we have so much fun taking pictures, the final product was absolutely stunning. We get so many compliments on our beautiful pictures, all thanks to Catherine! Seriously, I could not recommend her highly enough—best choice we made while wedding planning.

to navigate our unique family dynamics with ease. We were afraid it would be awkward or insincere but Catherine has this magical ability to make anyone and everyone feel comfortable in their own skin. I loved her so much I wanted to invite her to our Christmas but my new husband felt that was inappropriate, hah!
All in all, she was worth every penny. A photography wizard with the most delightful personality. 10/10; would recommend.
Words cannot begin to describe how incredible Catherine Rhodes is as a photographer and now friend. Catherine was the wedding photographer for my sister and many of our friends. ...
After seeing her work & creativity in action, we without a doubt knew we wanted her to be the photographer to capture our special day. Catherine handles wedding day chaos with grace and execution. We had A LOT of photo groupings we wanted captured between our ceremony & reception, a nearly impossible task especially with the early setting sun. Catherine got them ALL!! And she did it in such an organized fashion, utilizing our wedding helpers and her assistants to quickly move each party on to the next captured moment. No stress or hurry was felt. Aside from the structured family & wedding party photos, she prioritized candid moments throughout the whole day. We cannot wait to see the entire gallery, as the sneak peeks have already brought us to tears. Catherine captured every emotion & feeling that was experienced during the best day of our lives.
But WAIT THERE'S MORE. Catherine did our engagement session and a private bridal session for me. She made both of these sessions so fun and comfortable. My husband & I are not the most "modely" or "posing" type of people, and I joked with Catherine that she would have to keep an eye out for our commonly occurring double chin grins, big mouthed laughter, and my crazy curly hair that has a mind of it's own, ha!! Catherine miraculously photographed incredible pictures, that were genuine, natural, and SOMEHOW made our cheesing double chinned grins and wind-blown hair look beautifully "us."
I adore Catherine. Her love and passion for photography and her business is evident. Her love and thoughtfulness towards her clients is so so felt and appreciated. Her genuine character is one to be admired. 10/10 would recommend Catherine as a photographer for all of your special days, moments, and timeless family photos. LOVE!

much to us. Through getting to know us, she was able to beautifully bring our vision to life. We were both a little nervous for the engagement session, but she made us feel so comfortable. She made the experience fun and easy, while still incorporating our ideas and capturing our essence as a couple. They turned out beautifully –soft, romantic and happy. Leading up to the wedding, Catherine stayed in touch and walked us through every step. She was so helpful in creating the day of timeline, and I am forever grateful for the time she built in for the “special” moments – first look with my Dad, getting ready with my mom and bridesmaids, reading letters from each other, etc. Her advice made for a very smooth and easy day, and it was everything we dreamed of. A couple weeks before the wedding, she even sent a sweet care package! How amazing is she?! Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and she did a great job capturing all of our moments. She was super flexible with the weather and got creative with some amazing locations to take our pictures. Our photos (sneak peak, blog post, and final gallery) were all delivered right on time, and they blew us away. We have had a blast looking back and reminiscing about our special day. Catherine is simply wonderful, and I am elated that we chose her as our wedding photographer! I HIGHLY recommend Catherine with Catherine Rhodes Photography!

During the planning process, Catherine was always available to answer any questions and was so easy to work with in coordinating our wedding day schedule. only was it easy to trust that she would capture every moment of my day perfectly, but she was also so calming and reassuring throughout the entire day. She made taking pictures feel as natural as possible, which was important to me because I tend to feel awkward in front of a camera. ith. On my wedding day she was there to fluff my dress, straighten my necklace, carried my water bottle, and even reminded me to drink it. Her calming presence was exactly what I needed and she was always there to reassure me that everything was running smoothly (even when I lost my groom). Most of all, after reaserching and meeting with what felt like ALL of the photographers in the St. Louis area in search of my wedding photographer, Catherine’s work is absolutely the best I have seen!

is truly an artist. When we finally got to meet Catherine for our engagement photos, we knew that we had made the right decision. Not only did she make us feel comfortable but our photos are AMAZING! She would pick out locations that I have passed by a million times on my husband’s family farm and make them look like we were somewhere amazing, definitely not Missouri. This past weekend, we got married. Again, Catherine blew us away! She was so helpful with everything, even bustling my dress for me. We have only seen a sneak peak so far but we already know that our wedding photos will be ones we love for a lifetime.

pful for brides that don't do well under stress because she makes everything so simple and fun-which is how wedding planning should be :) She helped me on my wedding day with things that weren't even her job which really shows what kind of person she is. My family can be a bit loud and chaotic, but she kept everyone calm and organized.. and made it fun! You'd think taking photos is awkward but she creates an atmosphere that is natural, romantic, and exciting. Hiring Catherine was the best decision I made for my wedding for sure!

a joy to work with! She perfectly captures your personality and makes you feel at ease in front of the camera. We were honored to have her capture our wedding day as well. She traveled with us to Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, Missouri and weathered the cold and rain with a constant smile! She and her second photographer, Trischa, worked with our families and wedding party so well and they perfectly captured our day! The photos are absolutely stunning!!! We could not be happier with the end products! She is so extremely talented! I give her my highest recommendation and will definitely be referring family and friends to her!

ough wonderful things about Catherine and her work; our engagement and wedding pictures are STUNNING!!!!! We were very particular about hiring a photographer, and we couldn't find anyone whose pictures compared to Catherine's. She was also incredibly reasonable financially, especially taking into consideration that she flew to Boston AND Maine from Missouri. She did beautiful blog posts of both our engagement session and wedding, and the turnaround time to get our photos was very quick. Payment and high res photo downloads were also super easy, she clearly uses all the latest technology to make everything as smooth and simple as possible. Highly, highly recommended. Thank you for everything Catherine!!!
Catherine Rhodes is an AMAZING photographer! She is not only talented but authoritative despite her soft spoken manner. She was able to control our whole rowdy group without being ...

She was great to work with from the start. Although she is from Columbia, she travelled to St. Louis to meet with me to introduce herself and discuss all I wanted.
Her work is absolutely beautiful and she provides you with pictures quickly after your event! She is the perfect mix between traditional and modern, using a wide variety of photography skills. We had a range of pictures that suited everything I had ever imagined. From portraits, group photos, to candids, she will give you the perfect captured memories of your day!
