The gorgeous pictures speak for themselves as one of the best in the business, but beyond that she was tireless and determined to capture the most precious moments of our lives. We made new friends in Cathy Durig and her team and will remember them forever each time we look back at our special wedding day/night. One thing I didn't realize until our big day was how much time you spend with your photographer, and I am SO glad we had Cathy by our sides! y can be a bit of an exciting, lovely blur for the bride, it was super important to me that I find a photographer who I knew would take gorgeous photos to help me look back and remember my special day. It's easy to see from her blog and social media that she takes beautiful photos, but she's also so wonderful to work with! She's only shot our engagement photos so far, during which I was quite nervous but Cathy made me feel so much more relaxed--Cathy is professional, keeps a positive, fun attitude, and takes the best photos, you can really tell that she loves her job! Once I got the photos back, I knew without a doubt that I'd made the right choice hiring Cathy first in my wedding planning!! gh wonderful things about Cathy. My husband and I hired her for our May 2016 wedding at the Waldorf Astoria, in Chicago. As someone who appreciates photography -- hiring a photographer was one of the most important decisions we made. Cathy absolutely delivered and went above and beyond anything we could've ever wished for and imagined. From start to end, Cathy was professional, kind, accommodating and above all -- a true professional. Cathy went out of her way, responding to my many emails, calls and questions and never once made me feel like I was intruding or annoying her. Prior to our wedding, we went over the shot list she prepared, which covered everything! However, I wanted to add some secondary shots. I didn't think that we would get all of these in based on the short amount of time. I was incredibly surprised when we received our images and every single shot we requested was there! The day of our actual wedding, Cathy arrived early and prepared. She handled all of the photography seamlessly. Sometimes, I even forgot she was there and photographing –- which truly delivered the candid feel that I so wanted. As I look at our wedding photos, I can see how much heart went into them. She even edited Mother & daughter photos for me the day after the wedding in time for Mother's Day. She is such a pleasure to work with. On the day of the wedding she was so calm and helpful. Cathy got the detail shots while Laura was finishing getting ready, and then had the first look shots. Cathy and her husband, Chris, got awesome shots during the ceremony and I didn't even see them moving about. Then, for the posed shots, Cathy was so patient with all the family groups and we have such beautiful photos. They will be treasured as we live so far apart it had been 5 years since all my brothers and my mother were together. Laura wanted lots of candids during the cocktail hour and dancing and we have those too. I look at the photos and get happy all over again. Cathy hadn't been to our house to check out the possibilities, and found so many awesome spots and made our backyard look magical!! I'm excited to put the photos in a scrapbook to keep the memories for many years.

While I've only worked with her as a model, I know that Cathy puts every bit of this same effort into each and every wedding and engagement she shoots.
