I had an amazing experience working with Cathy!! She helped make all the visions of my dress come to life and made it even better than I could have imagined! She is a fantastic artist and the dress she made for me was gorgeous!!! Everyone at my wedding was raving about my dress and I felt and looked beautiful! The small business aspect of Cathy Ebrada Atelier also makes the dress that much more special, she is there to help you every step of the way!
A friend of my mom referred me to Cathy and I am so glad she did! As a small business owner, Cathy is intimately involved in every aspect of the creation of your dress. She is the perfect collaborator — knowledgeable, crafty, open, and inspired — to bring your vision to life. Plus, her beautifully designed dresses are accessible for almost any budget! She takes care of you and has a lot of pride in her work. 11/10 highly recommend you work with Cathy to make the dress of your dreams
Avoid at all costs! Cathy stole $2500 from me--after promises of a semi-custom dress, a custom veil, and alterations, I am left with nothing but an over-budget wedding (as I had to buy a used dress elsewhere) and a broken heart. After delayed progress, then extremely dissatisfying "results", Cathy offered to give some of the money back and asked for a second chance. She then disappeared. This has been a nightmare of an experience. I made every attempt to resolve this amicably to no avail.. Now in the midst of planning a wedding, I also have to go to court in order to make this right.
Cathy is so fun and has an incredible attention to detail and wealth of knowledge about all things, fabric, design and construction. While she didn't design my dress, she altered my extremely delicate silk gown and lace shirt. Anytime I made a face or poked at something she'd say "I can fix that" and tell me all the options and methods to repair it.
She also took on alterations for my mom's dress, who is quite picky. She made me feel happy and comfortable on my wedding day.
Cathy Ebrada Atelier did an AMAZING job! When I say that Cathy was a Godsend, I am not exaggerating. Until I met Cathy, wedding dress shopping had been a nightmare for me because of the lack of professionalism and care. Other vendors that I had visited made me feel like I was a just number and tried to rush the process. I could not find the right dress, nor did I feel like I had the right vendor that I felt comfortable spending my hard earned money with.
Well, all that changed when I met Cathy. From booking my appointment over the phone, to our first meeting and thereafter, I felt calm and knew I had found the right place. Cathy, not only welcomed me, but also my mom and sister. She made me feel super special and celebrated my engagement. My mom and sister also loved her which was a plus because I really look up to both of them and they helped to influence my decision to go with Cathy Ebrada Atelier.
My fittings where always fun to go to. Cathy, is the kind of person who you have always known. The conversations were natural and she really cares about her work and making her clients happy! She is a perfectionist when it comes to her business. Cathy, not only serviced me but also my in-laws. Here are some of the services that I received from Cathy Ebrada Atelier:
-A custom made & convertible gown. My gown was detachable. I especially LOVED this part of my gown because I could really partay during the reception and not feel weighed down.
-A custom veil
-My gown was steam-pressed prior to my wedding and cleaned after my wedding.
-A tutorial on how to zip and unzip my gown, and the proper caring instructions. Cathy, was there every step of the way, so I did not have to worry about this part.
-Finally, Cathy was there to dress me up on my wedding day!
I really enjoyed working with Cathy and think that you will too!
Cathy was so much fun to work with! She did the alterations for my dress as well as made me a custom veil and belt to match. I initially came to her with a design idea for my veil that was pretty overdone. Cathy was happy to meet my wishes but discussed with me options that met my style but were more unique. I’m so happy she was honest and that I went with her suggestions! I had a French Quarter New Orleans wedding and I feel like the design Cathy created matched that vibe perfectly (waaaaaay better than what I initially had in mind!!). She truly made a one of a kind piece. There are a ton of hidden details that make the veil romantic, like two birds flying together to represent my husband and me, and our initials and wedding date. I also wanted something “blingy” but not tacky. Cathy and her team used clear and iridescent Swarovski crystals on my veil and belt to give it that “shimmer” effect without being over the top.
I also kept losing weight before the wedding and Cathy and her team were so flexible to continuously have to take the dress in. Her seamstresses are hilarious and professional! She sometimes would bring them in so they could all collaborate. Three minds are always better than one! Cathy’s a perfectionist and if she’s not 100% sure, she pulls in her team to make sure. It really felt like the work they were doing was uniquely for ME and my style, body, and requests. I’m so grateful for their work, it was so so beautiful and better than I could’ve ever imagined—thank you!
Cathy was able to resurrect my grandmothers 58 year old wedding dress, tailored it to fit to me, and modernized the whole look. It was an incredibly personalized and she made me feel like the most important bride ever. Her skills as a designer are amazing and her team has amazing seamstress skills. Her attention to detail is incredible too and always made sure I looked and felt my best. Thank you Cathy!!
Cathy is very nice and fun to talk to BUT it is very scary working with her. I brought my wedding dress to her and we had TEN FITTINGS over the span of 6 months! She was adding sleeves to my dress and doing the other typical alterations for a wedding dress (hem, bustle and cups). Every visit we had with her, she would tell us she would have x, y and z done by next fitting and we could set up that fitting in a week or so. She would always end up pushing back the fitting and when we would go to the fitting there would be almost no progress made on what she told us would be done. She had us sit around waiting during the fitting while she was clearly in the back rushing to finish things. She made it seem like she had experience making sleeves but in the end it seemed like she really had no idea what she was doing and needed help from another seamstress. In the end, she finished the sleeves and they did look nice but it was a scary/long process. We ended up having to take the dress to another seamstress in Leesburg a week before the wedding to get the dress re-fitted and the cups re-done because it wasn't done well. She had put 2 different color cups in my dress! And one of them had a smiley face drawn on it... They were also put in really loosely. The seamstress in Leesburg was shocked by her techniques on the dress - apparently the hem was done terribly too but we hadn't noticed. You could see the stitching of the hem through the lace because she hadn't done the hem correctly. I would not recommend working with Cathy, though she is very nice.
Cathy is AMAZING!!! For years Cathy has always been prepared for me whether I come to her 4 months in advance or 2 weeks. I have come to Cathy for gala dresses (custom or alterations), alterations on clothing I have purchased and for her design knowledge in regards to ideas I have for my everyday wear.
Very sweet, very caring about her clients and extremely knowledgeable!! I recommend to all of my friends. I will be a client for life!
Thank you so much, Cathy for everything!
One of my favorite parts of my whole wedding was my dress. And I owe that all to Cathy Ebrada of Ebrada Atelier. She designed my dress to my liking and included me in every aspect of the design process. Cathy chose high quality materials and follows the Coco Chanel couture method, so I was assured that my dress was well made. It was so exciting to go into her cute shop for my fittings. And anything I wanted changed or altered, she immediately fixed. She also sent me pictures of the dress between fittings.
In addition, Cathy came to my house the morning of the wedding to steam the dress and put me in it! That way, I was reassured that the dress would look perfect. She made my dress top priority from day 1. I felt beautiful and confident the entire day- I didn't even take it off until 3 a.m.! Cathy also designed and made my mother's Mother of the Bride outfit. My mother is petite and struggles to find clothes to fit her properly, and Cathy made her so happy and confident in her outfit.
We cannot say enough about the exceptional customer service and top quality craftsmanship of Cathy and her studio. I highly recommend to all brides in and out of the area.
I couldn't have been happier with my experience with Ebrada Atelier! Cathy is a true professional and did an amazing job with the alterations to my wedding dress. She is a perfectionist and it shows in her work. On top of that, her customer service is unmatched! Cathy helped me get into my dress on my wedding day...a service she provides to brides getting married in the Leesburg area. She made sure everything was just right with my dress before I walked down the aisle and her presence helped put me at ease. At the end of this whole process she felt like family! I highly recommend her!!
Cathy went above and beyond what any average bridal designer or boutique manager would do. After I changed my mind about which dress I wanted from a company (luckily I'd ordered 13 months out), and having the company confirm the change, then go back on it, she fought the company, acquired the pattern, and assured that I got the dress that truly wanted.
She made great accommodations for one very tall and one very small bridesmaid who needed dresses on the fly, and even helped me with a rehearsal dinner dress.
She's very talented, knowledgeable, and helpful beyond words. I highly recommend working with her.
Cathy provided great one on one service for my bridal gown. I came to her with a specific vision in mind and she was able to order a gown from a designer I loved and customize it to my needs. She also altered my rehearsal dinner dress and helped me order a bridesmaid dress for a future wedding. I would definitely recommend this shop if you're looking for efficient focused attention and not the "say yes to the dress" experience.
