First off, Cattus Quartet was really easy to communicate with. When our venue had a sudden date change for our wedding, they were more than happy to accommodate the changes. We also commissioned them to score a new song and they performed it beautifully during the ceremony! They have a large selection of songs already and their String Trio's performance elevated our wedding with grace and elegance that we were absolutely floored with! Our guests adored them. Us, as newlyweds, are nerds at heart, so getting to hear Dearly Beloved, A Town With an Ocean View, and Path of the Wind struck a chord with us. They really caught on with our personalities and they were incredibly pleasant to work with. We wish there was some way we could rewind time to listen to them all over again!
Of all the extra wedding add ons that we considered, the string quartet was one we had our heart set on from the get go - and we are so glad we stuck with it! Cattus Quartet set the most dreamy mood for the ceremony, and we had them continue during cocktail hour. Our guests are still talking about it! Our song list was a mixture of pop music, which gave major Bridgerton vibes :) and was classy yet fun and current. The Cattus team was a pleasure to work with - always very prompt in responses, and had played at our venue many times before so the day of set up and logistics went smoothly without me even having to discuss with either team. I also paid for a special arrangement of a song not on Cattus' list as a surprise for my now-husband as he walked down the aisle, which was so special and came out beautiful. One of our favorite parts of the wedding! Sure, there are some cheaper quartet options out there if you really look, but Cattus is 100% worth the investment. They are true experts and seasoned musicians. HIGHLY recommend!
I had the opportunity of working with Cattus Quartet for a wedding earlier this month at the Bel-Air Bay Club (I'm a wedding DJ). From the moment they arrived on site, they were friendly, professional, and focused on getting everything perfect for the couple. They took the initiative of discussing timing for the processionals with myself and the coordinator in advance–this ensured that everything ran smoothly at the ceremony. The music itself was wonderful. I look forward to working with Cattus Quartet again in the future!
Cattus had the most lovely music and performance during the ceremony and cocktail hour, it was so beautiful and the guests loved it. The team was so easy to work with and flexible with our many date changes too!
We had the Cattus trio perform for our ceremony and cocktail hour. They even did a special song that is my husband's favorite. They were fantastic and made for such an intimate moment. I was so overwhelmed with how beautiful the music and atmosphere was when I walked down the aisle that I cried. Truly unforgettable! 10 out of 10- would recommend!
This review is long overdue. We had the honor of having Cattus Quartet perform at our wedding as guests arrived and during the the ceremony. They were absolutely awesome to work with and we loved having modern song options to entertain our guests upon arrival. From Guns & Roses to Lady Gaga, everyone absolutely loved the live music. We also loved walking down the aisle to their gorgeous rendition of "Can't Help Falling In Love," and they sent us off with a bang with the Beatles classic, "All You Need Is Love." Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without them and we can't thank them enough for their beautiful music. Plus the fact that they donate a portion to animal causes fit right in line with us as a couple. If you're looking for an exceptional quartet to make your big day even more special, this is the one! Thank you!
Cattus Quartet played around our wedding this past year and I have to say, they are beyond amazing! Easy to work with. Lydia was super clear, responsive and pleasant. We got the Rock Package that include the trio and a drummer. Best decision we made for our reception. They were so professional. They set up all on their own while I was running around like a mad women. The huge selection of songs were so fun, ranging from classical, rock, r&b, pop, etc. It was so hard to narrow down all the songs we wanted but Lydia helped us construct the perfect play list. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding and we had to move the reception and dinner inside. They quickly adapted and moved yet a second time to accommodate space. 100% I will be calling them back for my big birthday coming up. I can’t imagine any parties in the future without them. Please check out their website to see all of their videos for samples. Bonus, they love animals and donate proceeds to charity. Beautiful musics and hearts. Love you guys! XO
We went with their hybrid rock package which consisted of the string trio for our ceremony and the addition of their drummer for cocktail. It was the perfect mix of having elegant music for our ceremony and more energy with the drummer for cocktail hour. It was such a unique combination of live music and they sounded incredible live! I just wish I could have been around for the entire cocktail hour. We received SO many compliments from our guests. We would without a doubt hire them again!
We can’t say enough about our experience with the Cattus Quartet! From our first communication to my daughters wedding day communication and guidance with music selections were seamless! They were everything we’d hoped they’d be and more! Thank you to the amazingly talented Cattus Quartet!
Cattus came highly recommended by my planner who happened to be my wife's best friend, so we trusted all her recommendations. She said they were the best sounding quartet she's worked with and also really professional. She was right! They totally blew us away with their playing and how on top of everything they were with details and making sure all the cues went correctly on the day of our wedding. They are completely worth the money!
I have recommended Cattus to everyone I know who is getting married. I chose their Rock Package of string trio and drums, and they added so much to our cocktail hour. You can't beat live music, and the unique combination was definitely a wow factor for our guests. They kept the energy high and it really was perfect. I received so many compliments. They are top notch! Hire them!
We loved working with Cattus Quartet for our wedding this May. Their website makes it very easy to see their catalog of songs and the videos are also really helpful to hear their sound. We wanted a mix of contemporary and classic and they were very open to doing whatever we wanted. They even learned a new song for us (Such Great Heights) that we wanted to use for the bridal party entrance and did so very quickly, even figuring out the exact timing with us. Our guests really enjoyed having the music at the beginning of the ceremony and the cocktail hour (they especially enjoyed the Game of Thrones theme because the finale was the next day). Lydia was very easy to communicate with and got back to us right away whenever we had questions. We had some rainy weather that day and they were also really transparent about having to pause for a while and they stayed to make up the missed time. As a bride, it's hard to know what's happening when you're off doing other things so I really appreciated the update! I just wish I was able to hear more of their playing beforehand - I had to be in the suite but it sounded great from what I heard!
We made the decision the hire a string trio for our wedding ceremony despite it being over our initial budget plan. I couldn't help myself...I played the cello for many years and just love a great in-person trio or quartet! But I wondered leading up to the big day if I really should have sprung for that, would it be worth it...well, Cattus Quartet was worth every penny. They were a true delight to work with...Lydia was incredibly responsive to all communications, and they took the time to meet with my mom and me when we were in town to discuss our music choices and the style I was hoping they'd play in. The day of the wedding, the quality of their music was superb and it came through beautifully in our outdoor ceremony, despite some pretty intense wind and unexpected chilly temperatures at our venue (which was my family's 100-year-old ranch on the High Desert). I had some specific requests in terms of the tone and style I hoped they would play my processional song, and they executed exactly what I was hoping for. The over all effect of their music was just so lovely and personal, and frankly it calmed my nerves as I was about to walk down the aisle. Thank you, Cattus Quartet, for being so kind and accommodating, and for creating such beautiful music on our special day.
Cattus Quartet was an absolutely amazing vendor to work with for our wedding in Palm Springs. Lydia was excellent in responding to our vision for our wedding - super responsive, professional and kind. They absolutely nailed a new song separate from their usual repertoire that we requested. They played during our American ceremony, our Korean ceremony, and our cocktail hour. Everyone from our wedding was completely blown away by their music and they were so sweet throughout the entire process. We loved working with them and highly recommend them!
Cattus Quartet was one of the preferred vendors at my wedding venue. I reached out directly to the vendor on their website and immediately got a response from Lydia. Lydia was always prompt and professional in answering any questions that we have. She also made suggestions to our day-of music selection to ensure that the event ran smoothly. Most importantly, they have a great repertoire of music for both the wedding ceremony & cocktail, which made picking out music easy and simple. Highly recommend!
I come from a family of professional musicians, so it was really important to me that the musicians we hired were top notch. I was a bit obsessive about finding the absolute best string quartet out there. When I heard Cattus's video samples, I was blown away by how in tune they were and how musically in sync they sounded. I had a wonderful experience working with them leading up to my wedding, by far the best communication-wise with a vendor. They were not only lightning quick with getting back to me on questions, but also super clear and patient with their responses.
I'm so happy I chose them and cannot recommend them enough!! They ended up sounding absolutely spectacular in person and were incredibly professional on our big day (showing up early, looking polished, etc.). We received SO many compliments and I only wish that I had been there during cocktail hour to hear them play Game of Thrones and Star Wars!
They were our favorite vendor and the best money we spent for our wedding. Someone mentioned they are higher priced which is true but their consummate professionalism and sound completely warrants it. We had them play a mix of contemporary songs for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and we got so many comments on them both during and after the wedding. We highly recommend Cattus!
I grew up playing piano and violin pretty seriously so I knew I wanted a quartet to play my wedding. Unfortunately, since we were getting married out of town in LA, I didn't have any local contacts for recs. But when I saw Cattus's videos, they were totally a step above in terms of intonation and ensemble playing, so I reached out. They were super friendly and quick with emails. They are a big higher priced than other groups, but I really think you get what you pay for in this case, and I am so glad I went with them because they totally delivered!
Their playing was so beyond beautiful and perfect, I really couldn't be happier. Trust me, if you are looking for a string quartet, go with Cattus!!
Cattus was simply amazing to work with leading up to my wedding day. Their responsiveness and attention to detail was so far beyond my experience with some of my other vendors. On the day of, their playing brought tears to my eyes. You just can't beat live music for your ceremony, and their sound is just so beautiful, even better than their videos. I cannot recommend them enough. From my first email to them to the end, they were a dream. Thank you so much for making my wedding so memorable and touching, Cattus!
we LOVE the Cattus Quartet. they played at both our surprise proposal, and our wedding ceremony, and were terrific in every way. musically gifted, with a great repertoire and a real ability to summon emotion, and very easy to work with (even for a surprise proposal that was tricky logistically). our guests loved them too. you cannot do better. they're truly the best!!!
Cattus Quartet made a wonderful contribution to our son's wedding! Many people remarked how lovely their presence and their music were during the ceremony, reception and dinner. Cattus Quartet has a repertoire of music that was perfect for the celebration and ballroom venue. Our son and his wife loved having them as part of their wedding. I highly recommend Cattus Quartet and would use them again!
Cattus Quartet played for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. We had trio instead of quartet and I have to say I was so BEYOND happy that we hired them. They are wonderful and have a huge song library! Many of our guests commented on how beautiful the music was and right as I was about to walk down the aisle, I heard the music start and it just set the tone for me (in the best way). Lydia was wonderful to work with. Very professional and always responded in a timely manner! I HIGHLY suggest hiring them! You will not be disappointed!
Cattus was superb! We were looking for a classy string quartet for our botanic garden reception, and selected Cattus for their musicianship, repertoire, and responsiveness. Their cohesiveness as a group (evident in their videos) immediately stood out to my husband, who’s a musician himself. Lydia, the group’s manager, was very friendly and easy to work with as we coordinated details and came up with a song list that included classical during the meal, and then a medley of some of our favorite pop, rock, and musical hits for the remainder of the evening. Cattus more than delivered on our event day and performed memorable custom arrangements of Kenny G’s “Songbird” for our father-daughter dance and Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love” for our last dance. Many of our guests commented to us how impressed they were by the music, and that they felt they could sing right along. The string quartet added elegance to and accentuated our garden setting on a warm Southern California evening. We highly recommend!
I was initially indifferent when my wife suggested we have a string quartet for our outdoor wedding ceremony, but I am so glad I listened to her as we were able to seamlessly customize the tone of our ceremony to our music selection and transition from each portion of our ceremony smoothly! I only realize this after the fact, but you really have more creativity latitude with your ceremony when using a live performing group like Cattus Quartet. I recently went to a beautiful outdoor ceremony where the music was played from a stereo and the moment, the effect, the vibe was just not the same.
My wife found Cattus Quartet off of Gigmasters and ultimately went with Lydia and her group not only because of their vast library of songs and affordable rate, but because they also donate a portion of their proceeds to animal welfare groups. Lydia was extremely easy to work with. For instance, I wanted to add some background music during my vows and was able to secretly coordinate that with Lydia. My wife also really wanted to walk up to Sweet Disposition by Temper Trap, but specifically wanted me to see her for the first time at a specific part in that song; Cattus Quartet made that happen without a hitch. They sounded great and added to the already beautiful ambiance of our ceremony site at Westlake Village Inn.
If you are looking for a string quartet, go with Cattus Quartet. If you are thinking of using a stereo, please listen to your fiancee, reconsider, and then go with Cattus Quartet. Our only complaint was not being able to host their cat Kiki. ;)
5 stars, as good as it gets. We hired them for our wedding and couldn't have been more pleased. Lydia was amazing, along with the rest of string quartet. The whole experience great. It took a little longer than planned to start the ceremony and they didn't miss a beat. They kept playing and ran the whole ceremony seamlessly. Lydia was responsive and was very friendly when answering all my dumb questions. They were very professional, looked great, and sounded incredible. They really put a special touch on our ceremony and can't think them enough. They even sent us a Christmas card, thank you. Don't hesitate you found the best!
When I first heard Cattus
String Quartet's video sample of Pachelbel's Canon in D, I was moved to tears. I knew they were the ones I wanted to play at our Daughter's wedding ceremony and cocktail reception. They did not disappoint. They were prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with. They truly made the ceremony a magical moment that we won't forget. They timed the music expertly to the ceremony and played an unusual piece at the Groom's request.. Thank you Cattus for making the day so memorable.
Lydia and the Cattus quartet were unbelievable to work with and their music made my day so incredibly special. Both my parents are musicians so I have very high standards for live classical music and they exceeded them. I walked down the aisle to their version of Sweet Child O' Mine and it was amazing. They are also willing to transpose any songs that they do not have in their large repertoire for a small fee. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Cattus Quartet helped me propose to boyfriend earlier this month. They helped me turn my idea into a magical moment.
Their talent and passion came across from the moment they started playing.
They were professional, flexible and easy to communicate with.
Thank you Cattus Quartet.
Overall
I can't be happier with my experience with Cattus. I wanted to hire a string group to play All You Need is Love while I proposed to my girlfriend, so I did a ton of research. I was simply blown away by their video samples, and when I contacted them, they were so helpful and quick to respond to all my questions, so I knew I was in great hands. On the day of, their playing was excellent and even better than their samples. My girlfriend said it was the perfect touch and added so much to the experience. I've already recommend them to my buddy who is getting married next June. Thanks so much Cattus!
We were looking for a quartet for our daughter's wedding and found Cattus Quartet. We couldn't be happier. They did an amazing job. Planning was so easy as Lydia answered all of my emails within minutes. I am so happy to have had them perform and I can't say enough nice things about them. My daughter walked down the aisle to Here, There and Everywhere. It was just gorgeous. At cocktail hour they played all of our requests and more. They are just amazing!
