We held our ceremony on the tree-lined driveway (a gorgeous backdrop with natural shade), cocktail hour near the vineyard and pond (a seamless transition with amazing scenery), and our reception in the backyard surrounded by trees and strung bistro lights. The Cavaignac team also provides some great basics to build off of, including 60" round tables, 6' rectangle tables, white folding banquet chairs, two different arch options, and upscale restroom trailers. We truly recommend hosting a wedding here—it was elegant, stunning, and allowed us to create a great flow for our guests. That said, there are a few things we wish we had known upfront: Wind: It can get quite windy. On our wedding day, the breeze was a blessing and kept everyone cool, but during one walkthrough a month before, the wind was so strong we could barely hear each other. It’s something to be aware of, but not necessarily a dealbreaker. Bring-ins required: The venue requires you to bring in a lot—such as a dance floor, catering kitchen, and the restroom trailers (provided by the venue). This worked fine for us, but couples should plan for the extra logistics and rentals. Getting-ready spaces: Even though you’re renting the whole property, included indoor space is limited to one un-airconditioned room (which did stay fairly cool). You can add the bridal suite for $150/hour, but otherwise there aren’t extra spaces unless you book the overnight rental. We wished there had been an additional spot for the guys to get ready—this feels like an opportunity for Cavaignac to expand offerings. Restrooms: The upscale bathrooms were okay but unfortunately clogged almost immediately. They’re also not handicap accessible. The property is supposed to keep one door to the house unlocked for accessibility, but it was locked during our event. Luckily this didn’t cause a major issue for us, but it’s definitely something the team can monitor more closely. Note, this has been addressed with the venue team and they noted ADA bathrooms will be available in the future. Overall, we would absolutely choose Cavaignac again—it’s breathtaking, unique, and provided an elegant yet relaxed setting for our big day. The items above are just things we would have appreciated knowing upfront, and wanted to call out so future couples can plan accordingly!
