Sean and Cathy Cayton are the husband-and-wife team behind Cayton Photography in Colorado Springs. Sean began working professionally as a newspaper photographer after graduating from Colorado College and has photographed nationally and internationally for publications including The New York Times, U.S. News & World Report, the Los Angeles Times, MSNBC, The Christian Science Monitor and The Denver Post.
That photojournalism background shapes the way Sean and Cathy photograph weddings today: attentive to real emotion, relationships and the unscripted moments that give each celebration its character. They offer guidance when it’s needed and step into the background when it isn’t, creating photographs that feel natural rather than staged.
Cayton Photography has photographed weddings throughout Colorado since 2004, including Colorado Springs, Denver and mountain destinations. Wedding collections include handcrafted albums, and finished photographs are typically delivered within 7–10 days.

Our experience with having Sean at our wedding was phenomenal. He made potentially awkward formal family photos fun and easy. We took so many creative photos - Sean came up with all of the shots. I hired Sean Cayton of Cayton Photography shortly after I saw some of his photos that he had taken of weddings at the Garden of the Gods Club (my venue). We flew him to NYC (where ...
we live) to do our engagement session and were blown away by the photos! He is truly a great guy and we can't wait to see the photos from our rehearsal dinner and wedding! I know that when we start having kids, we will be calling him up to schedule some more photo shoots, as we love his style and don't have to worry if our photos will be good - they are always fantastic!
