I'm Daniel of Cedar & Stone Films, a wedding filmmaker and photographer in Olympic Valley, CA. Based in Tahoe, drawn to the in-between moments, mountain-top vows, and wild love stories. I don't just document your day, I preserve the way it felt.
UNIQUENESS
Creating stories that are unique, authentic, and a reflection of a couple is my goal. Overstaging or posing is not my thing! I want to capture who ya'll are as a couple and your true personalities. I focus on being as candid as I can be and avoiding all the staging and posing that takes away from your special day.
FRIENDSHIP
You’re inviting me to be a part of one of the biggest moments of your lives, and I'm so grateful to be able to capture this moment. So! With that, we're required to be best friends (kidding, but not really). Forming a relationship with you is the best thing about what I do, and it’s the foundation of how I tell your story.
CREATIVITY
When you trust me to capture your story, you get my creative eye and experience. I am always evolving as a creative to complement the story I'm telling. Your story is original. So, how I capture it needs to be too. I want to capture your story the way you think it should be captured! So I invite collaboration! I want to hear your ideas and your vision for your wedding film.

On the wedding day, they somehow managed to be everywhere without ever being intrusive. They caught all the little candid moments we didn’t even realize were happening — real laughs, happy tears, hugs, and quiet in-between moments that we’ll treasure forever.
The photos are stunning. Seriously, we’re obsessed. They captured the day exactly as it felt — full of love, joy, and fun. We’ve had so many friends and family tell us how beautiful and natural everything looks.
We can’t recommend Daniel enough. Not only are they incredibly talented, but they’re also just a genuinely wonderful person to have around on such an important day. Thank you for giving us memories we’ll hold onto for a lifetime.

It truly felt like he we didn’t have to stop our wedding for one minute for pictures, and he still was able to capture everything perfectly!! He made us feel so comfortable and confident. He gave us a little cam-corder for us to capture little moments while we were in the car or when we were separated getting to the venue.
