Venue was beautiful and loved the split rooms and the patio was very nice!
Amazing venue! Affordable and so easy to work with! Plus the outdoor patio is great for guests. 10/10 would recommend.
Just completed a wedding reception here and couldn't be more happy! Angie was fantastic help with planning from day one. I was especially impressed with her oversight the evening...
of the reception. She was present the whole time and making sure everything was moving along as planned. We loved the food (as did the guests, many of whom raved about it- we had a Wisconsin fish fry), the drinks, the service staff, the assistance with decorations and questions, and the ambiance (beautiful golf course views behind head table). Thanks so much to Angie and staff for making this event worry-free and a great success! I highly recommend!
We picked Cedar Creek because we loved the venue's look - green, by the bluffs, classic inside. We got great service! Angie was helpful beyond words! She checked on all our details...
multiple times so we were sure not to miss anything, added last minute things for us, and was quick to get back to our emails. Prices are upfront and reasonable. The food was amazing! If we had to do it all again we would pick Cedar Creek and their staff! We had both our reception and rehearsal dinner there. We ran late during the rehearsal and dinner was late. They were so patient with us and let us set up for the reception early, late, whenever it worked.
My husband and I were married on July 18th, 2015. Our reception hall was at Cedar Creek Golf Club in Onalaska, WI. The location was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. There are gorgeous picture...
windows that are behind the head table, it makes the lighting in the room perfect. The outside is stunning as well. The food was well prepared and delicious. We went with the Mexican buffet, to spice things up a bit and we were not disappointed. We had enchiladas, a taco bar, mini corn muffins, and a few other food items I can't remember. Everyone was talking about how good the food was, how neat it was that we had tacos for our meal (it isn't very common). Cedar Creek offers a variety of buffets which is unique to other venus we looked at. The waitstaff were amazing as well.
The only reason I am giving this a 2 star rating is because our events coordinator, Angie was absolutely terrible to us. She was very cordial in emails beforehand, but on the day before the wedding when we went to go decorate she was extremely rude within the first 5 minutes of talking to her. I was explaining that we needed a table for our fingerprint tree guestbook as well as our escort cards. She asked me what those were and I said they were name tags so people can choose their own spot but then be able to "save their seat" type of thing. Immediately she goes in an extremely rude tone, "Why are you doing that? Usually people only do that if they are seating their guests or have a menu choice, and you have neither of those." I was extremely offended by that, just because we did something "extra" that wasn't necessary, doesn't mean we didn't want to. There was no need for her rudeness, and I don't understand why it mattered to her anyways.
Then, we found out from our dj after our wedding (he is a good friend of ours) that she was extremely rude to him. She told him that it was the "sloppiest set up she has ever seen". Keep in mind, that this was his first dj-ing experience, and if you were to ask anyone at the wedding, nobody knew it was his first time. Then he told us that she was very rude to him and his brother when they were setting up. There was a box fan that was either in the room they were in, or the bar area in the next room (all open, not closed off) and they used it to help cool off since it was so hot that day. Nobody else was around, it was in use for anything. She came in and said "Is that yours?". And when they calmly replied that no, it was just in the area and it was hot she says "So you think you can just come in here and take whatever you want from areas you are not allowed to go and make yourself at home?" Once again, in a very rude voice. They were setting up all of the sound equipment in 95+ degree weather and saw a box fan that was not in use, it wasn't in a locked room that they entered. I do not understand why she had to be so rude about it. At the very end of the night when my dj was packing up, all by HIMSELF, she comes in and says "Are you almost done? Hurry up, I want to get home." As if she could not see that he was packing away very HEAVY equipment, ALL BY HIMSELF.
To top it all off, we find out from my father-in-law that she chose not to include gratuity on the final bill at the end of the night. Which most places do, and from what we understood from HER was that service charge, state tax and gratuity was included.
Cedar Creek is an amazing venue, but Angie completely ruined it for us. I would not recommend her.
When we decided to get married, it didn't even cross our minds to go anywhere else for our reception. Angie, and her staff were AMAZING!!!! From the first day of planning to the da...
