She was professional, attentive, and anticipated every single need before I even had to ask. She truly made the night seamless. And the food… wow! Our guests are still talking about it. There were so many options, everything was delicious, and the passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the night were such a special touch. I loved that I didn’t have add any extra decorations, and that Laura has many of the small extra things you may need already. Everything is decorated perfectly and is absolutely beautiful the way it is. On the wedding day, Laura and the staff were all super attentive. Her husband, who does the cooking, even made sure to make special plates for my mom since she is allergic to garlic and it was in most of the dishes served. Everyone has been telling me how amazing the food and service was both inside and outside, and that it was once of the best weddings venues they have been to.

Once we landed in New Orleans, we scheduled an appointment to tour it, and we fell in love immediately and decided to not even look at any other venue. Laura is amazing, kind, and very professional. She has all the patience to go over any doubt you might have and is always willing to answer questions and go the extra mile, making sure everything is perfect and taken care of. She has checklists for everything which works great when you have so many things in your head and don't know what you are actually doing. They make planning a wedding as easy as it can be!! We planned ours in 2 months and everything went perfect with the venue! She took all of the stress out of everything. Another thing that drew us to Cedar Grove was the food reviews. Right from the beginning, by checking the food packages they offer, you can see the difference between this venue and the others. (I'm a trained chef and this was a big deal for us). Well, we definitely DON'T regret it. Patrick is an amazing Chef. The food was incredible!! Our guests and family are still talking about it. Laura let us customize everything we wanted, being that we have different traditions in Colombia, and everything was just as I imagined it. Even on the day of the wedding, during the ceremony, and later during the reception, we were tweaking things and asking for additional favors to make sure everyone was comfortable, and she took care of everything without hesitation. You'd be hard pressed to find a better planner, venue, food selection, and host individually let alone all wrapped in one. The number one thing that sets Cedar Grove apart from every other place is, Laura and Patrick. You can honestly tell that they care. They are attentive, thoughtful, and invested in making your wedding the best it can possibly be. We couldn't have asked for anything better, and this is definitely not the last time we will have a event there.

Checking to make sure I had items I didn’t think of, checking to see how planning was going, seeing if I needed anything. It was like your own day of personal attendant and wedding planner. She reached out to the vendors the week up and set up everything! (She also went as far as making sure I had everything planned and packed for the honeymoon!!). I can’t say enough kind words about her. She even saved the day on the day of-I hadn’t gotten any of my flowers delivered and had been calling flower place all morning with no answer. I was starting to panic-called the venue to see if maybe my bride Boyer was dropped off there. Laura had said the flowers for my cake and other arrangements but no bouquets. She could have ended the call like that but she said “It’s your day, no worrying, I will call them and figure it out and we will get you flowers!” Long story short-the flowers were found but she called and called and called until she could talk to someone. She didn’t have to do any of that but she truly cares and it just shows! She loves what she does, everyone there does! Now onto the venue…absolutely breathtaking. If you are contemplating having your wedding here or any event-stop now. Do it. It was amazing. I love the floor plan of the venue and everyone was able to spread out for eating and dancing. A lot of people even sat outside as the weather was really nice! And the food….oh my gosh!!! Everyone from my wedding has raves about the food!! They seriously can not stop talking about how good it was!! We had a buffet style meal and several pass around and when I say several-they don’t disappoint! So so soooooo many! And they were so good! As bride and groom-after we took our pictures we were taken into the “red room” which is a room to put your personal items and also have a quick bite to eat before going into reception. We had a huge platter of quick bites to eat and we honestly licked the plate. It was sooo good! The bar was great-no weak drinks and high quality liquor. Great bartenders. We had a band but the DJ played some after and they were great too! I just can not recommend Cedar Grove enough. I don’t think my wedding would have been a success without them and I don’t think I would have been able to relax and have as much fun without them. 1000/10 recommend. Did not have one complaint from me or a guest!

The s'mores bar had the dining area smelling like delicious roasted marshmallows all night! Cedar Grove is amazing and affordable. I guarantee you, this is 10000x better than having your New Orleans wedding in the middle of the city. It is the full package and you would be lucky to party at Cedar Grove!!! search for an alternative venue we found Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. In a whirlwind, we toured the venue and I just fell in love. Not to mention, Laura Higgins, the owner and coordinator was extremely communicative and thoughtful throughout the process and she made the transition from one venue to another seamless. Moving forward, she answered all of my questions in a very timely manner and made me feel like a valued client throughout the planning and day-of-coordination. She is organized and knows how to corral a bridal party like no other! My husband and I were impressed with how she kept everything on schedule throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding. Even if you're not the most organized bride, she's got you. In terms of the other staff, they are all pleasant and great at their jobs. Laura's husband, Patrick is the chef and Laura is the baker! The food is amazing, and we had many guests comment on how great the food was during and after. In addition, the bartenders were quick and friendly. There were family and friends that spent most of the night around the bar. It really was a great focal point for those not interested in the dance floor. We hired a band and we found the dance floor to be just right for our number of guests at the wedding (just under 200). In general, the night went off without a hitch and our guests throughly enjoyed themselves. Since the wedding we've gotten many compliments about the event and while COVID derailed our original plans, I'm glad it did. I could not imagine my day anywhere else. I recommend Cedar Grove to anyone looking for a little Southern Charm in the Greater New Orleans area.

When we finally had our wedding, Laura made sure that both my husband and I had anything and everything we might have needed or wanted the entire time we were there. The staff is very friendly and efficient. And the food! We got so many compliments from our guests about the food. This venue is for anyone who doesn’t want to have to worry about every little detail on their wedding day because Cedar Grove will take care of it for you. Everything from the music to the food to setting up and taking down the decorations was done for us by the venue. They also provided us with toasting glasses and a cake knife for cutting the cake. I’m so glad we were able to have such helpful people work with us on our wedding day. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an all-inclusive venue. They were amazing!

to change my location. WITH 10 DAYS NOTICE! I called multiple places, and Laura at Cedar Grove answered all of my prayers. She allowed me to come to the venue within 25 minute of calling at 10am. Once I arrived I was sold! Laura made sure that everything I wanted was taken care of! The communication was fantastic! Within the hour of me leaving, and signing my contract Laura had already called all my venders from the previous venue. She talked to everyone directly to take a world of stress off of my shoulders. With the last minute changes, I had already chosen a cake vender that the venue didn't normally use. She credited me for part of the cake, and called them directly for me! The entire place is magical. My wedding was this past weekend, and I can't say enough about how perfect it was. I've gotten so many calls about how intimate and fun the location was. The staff was so friendly! and the FOOD! Oh my gosh the food.... My parents, in-laws, and guest could not rave enough! Everything came out hot, and delicious. My personal favorite were the hot beignets at the end of the night with coffee! It is crazy that this place turned out the be my perfect venue, even with not knowing about it until days before. I don't think any other place could have made my day as special as it was. Please considering going to check it out, you won't be disappointed!

9 restrictions and all the uncertainties with Orleans Parish was unfathomable. Luckily Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation was available. Laura and Patrick took care of every detail including coordination with vendors. My daughter's reception was so special, elegant and memorable. All of my daughter's special requests were integrated into the reception venue. The outside courtyard with fireplace was also available to guests. The food, all done in-house, was delicious plentiful and kept coming all through the four-hour reception. No one left hungry. The staff was amazing, constantly checking on the bride, groom and parents if they wanted anything including having on hand preferred drinks and ingredients. Many of the guests commented on how courteous and helpful the staff was going above and beyond, including serving guests who chose the outside courtyard area. I would absolutely recommend using Cedar Grove Tchoupitoulas Plantation. You won't be disappointed. Laura and Patrick were great to work with. They helped with planning and executing a special and stress free event.
