Michelle was incredible. She became a sweet and treasured friend in the process of organizing our wedding. Everyone at Cedar Springs was incredibly accommodating and kind. They offer plenty of help with your event, including tables, chairs, pews, decor, and more. I am so thankful we chose this venue. Not only gorgeous and pristinely manicured, but welcoming, charming, and unique.

When we first viewed the venue it was confirmed that the property would be gaining new ownership. We were told some minor upgrades would be made but nothing drastic until all new contracts were complete for the next year. We signed our contract in February, but did not receive a copy of it until September. We asked multiple times and were told they would mail it or email it.. and that never happened. We finally got a physical copy 1 month before our wedding when we went to view the venue. We were told by the on site coordinator to mail a check for our first payment, we did, then were contacted by the new venue owners and told they didn’t have our wedding date and not to mail a check because “they don’t do business that way.” Turns out there was a misunderstanding, which we understood with the property changing owndership. September rolls around and we go to view the venue (mind you, the only renovations we were told about were the wood floors on the barn being pulled up and put on the walls & the bridal suite being redone) when we arrive, the ceremony spot id previously told the coordinator id wanted for our day was covered by a turf mound & the barn was completely gutted. This was 1 month before our wedding and no one communicated any of this to me. The owner came out and spoke with us and went out of the way to make a new ceremony spot for us under a tree in the cow field. We appreciated this, yet still felt like better communication was deserved. The on site coordinator continuously lacked in communication… maybe it was a lack of awareness or she was just busy but this made the entire planning process very difficult. The day of the wedding the coordinator did help with directing our party down the aisle and there was a golf cart service which was very nice. At the end of the night the coordinator was telling all of the vendors we had to be out by 10pm although we had talked MULTIPLE times about using our security deposit to extend until midnight (this was also written in our contract). This caused a lot of unnecessary stress for me as we’d already paid our vendors until midnight. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t choose this venue for the reasons listed. I do however realize we were a special case as we came in at an odd time with the venue switching ownership.
