As an event planner, I have helped to orchestrate weddings and commitment ceremonies for over 20 years. As a motivational speaker, I create an atmosphere of excitement, of introspection and discovery. As a writer, I draw on a rich variety of traditional and contemporary resources, blending the inspiring and the significant with the humorous. From our very first call— which lasted over an hour because she was that invested in getting to know us—we knew she was the perfect choice. She truly took the time to understand our story, our personalities, and exactly what we wanted from our ceremony.
On the day of our wedding, she delivered a ceremony that was beyond perfect. It was heartfelt, personal, and absolutely hilarious—exactly what we had envisioned! Our guests could not stop raving about how it was one of the best ceremonies they had ever been to! It felt completely us, and that’s all thanks to Celia’s incredible ability to weave humor, warmth, and authenticity into every word.
Beyond that, she made the entire process so seamless, handling all the paperwork effortlessly so we had nothing to worry about.

Her ability to capture our 11 year relationship in a 17 minute ceremony, was truly impressive; So much so, that some of our guests came to us and asked if she was a family friend. From the moment I contacted Celia Milton for my wedding she made me feel so comfortable. Celia took the time to get to know me and my family. She was so friendly and inviting yet very professional! It was as if I was chatting with an old friend. Professional, caring, attentive, creative, a true master at her craft! Our ceremony was the highlight of our entire wedding! We wanted our wedding to really focus on my husband and I and our life together (our hobbies, our passions, our achievements, our story). Celia did an amazing job doing just that!! All of our family and friends would not stop complimenting us on how wonderful our ceremony was. They all felt like they got to learn about us as a couple which made the whole thing feel even more special to them. My (now) husband and I loved how she included passages about nature (we got married in a garden in the woods) and heart felt poems that really showcased our journey as a couple. She did an amazing job including a shoutout to our dog Gizmo as well. She was great to work with and really fun to talk to on the phone during our planning calls. Definitely would recommend her for anyone planning a wedding! :)

Celia and her team are amazing to work with! We selected them to officiate our wedding, and while Celia was not available on our date, 5/11/24, Michael Yelle was incredible. His questionnaire was very detail oriented, and he takes his time putting together his words. Michael perfectly balanced our story with laughs and tears - our guests raved about his delivery, and some were convinced he was one of our friends telling our love story firsthand. Behind the scenes, he removed the stress of creating vows and delivered a memorable experience for the rest of our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! 11 out of 10 recommend.

Highly recommend Celia Milton for your wedding! Every moment of our ceremony was so sweet and the way Celia recited our love story it sounded like a fairy tale! Celias extremely personable and calm energy made for a perfect flow of the ceremony. Celia was one of the easiest vendors to work with! She made us feel like we knew her for years!! Before our wedding, Celia did a few meetings with us to make sure our ceremony was exactly how WE wanted it. All of our guests were raving about her and what a great job she did!! We worked with Celia from day one, when it was a small wedding in an arboretum to a full wedding. She provides you with a list of preferred professionals who are an incredible resource and we are so grateful because she was our first real guide to make this wedding happen.
Celia answers all our questions in a detailed and helpful manner.
Filling our her forms, we fell in love with each other once again, and the ceremony was heartfelt, bright, and unique. She absolutely captured our hearts on this day.

Celia was our officiant for our April 2023 wedding at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, NJ. Not only is she very experienced in the industry, but is extremely personable and got to know us on a personal level to ensure that our ceremony reflected us as individuals and as a couple. Celia provided options for us to ensure we got our marriage license in our quick timeline (while we were living in different states!). Celia gave suggestions for the structure and content of her speech, and was open to any feedback before it was finalized. She also asked us to fill out a questionnaire to ensure that she knew everything she needed to know about us. We received many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Celia’s ceremony speech. We definitely recommend Celia for your wedding!

Celia was an absolute pleasure to work with since day one. Her personality was the perfect fit for our non-traditional ceremony. It's obvious she cares about her couples and especially about their stories, as she took all the questions we answered and neatly wove them into a beautiful ceremony that my friends/family have said is the best ceremony they've ever seen/heard! Celia was willing to spend time with us perfectly tailoring our ceremony to be the most authentic to my husband and I's personalities all the way up until the day before the wedding. Michael was our officiant for our Sept 30 2023 and he was fantastic! The entire process with Celia and Michael made both hiring an officiant and obtaining a marriage license seamless. We first spoke to Celia for about an hour about what we did and did not want and she had a million great ideas to share which was very helpful as we had seen very few nonreligious wedding ceremonies and barely knew where to start. Michael then crafted our ceremony, keeping us updated every step of the way. Most importantly to us, Celia and Michael showed many times over how much they cared about getting to know us and getting our story just right. They are both highly personable and genuinely interested in the stories of the couples they have as clients. We had many guests come up to us after the ceremony to both tell us how beautiful and moving it was but also to ask if we knew Michael personally because he really seemed to know us! Michael was also a star at including our dog in the ceremony, which was his idea and a touch everyone appreciated. We cannot thank Celia and Michael enough for their time and effort in creating our ceremony. They are also very professional and respond to inquiries quickly. We felt their pricing was reasonable and that the process was very transparent. We highly recommend them if you are looking for a special ceremony!

Celia made our day so special. She's funny, thoughtful and extremely helpful in all aspects from the writing of the ceremony, vows, and even post/pre wedding paperwork. A huge help to us on all fronts as a couple who were flying by the seat of their pants with our wedding. We could not even imagine our special day without her involvement. We had Michael as our officiant and he did such an amazing job! We had so many people come up to us after the ceremony and compliment how amazing they thought the ceremony was. It was the perfect level of relaxed and personalized that we wanted. In our calls leading up to creating the ceremony, we could tell that Michael really wanted to get to know us as individuals and as a couple and make sure that our story was told in our ceremony. Celia was absolutely incredible from our first phone call through the end of the wedding day. After speaking with Celia, we knew she was the right choice for our wedding. She made the process as stress free as possible and was super flexible and helpful the entire time. She thought of such a unique touch for our ceremony (popsicles!) which was the perfect touch. Many of our guests asked us if we knew her personally because the ceremony was so personalized and beautiful. Our ceremony was perfect and we couldn't be happier :)

Michael Yelle is a wonderful officiant and person. We reached out to Michael at the last minute, after our scheduled officiant wasn’t able to make it. He met us within the hour! We wanted to get married in a park, so he suggested we meet at a lovely local park with a waterfall. Michael answered all our questions, led a heartfelt service, and sent a thorough follow-up email with next steps. He is kind, sincere, and it felt like we had known him for years. We highly recommend Michael, and thank him so much for his service on such a special occasion.

Working with Celia Milton was wonderful. She wasn't available so Cari was our officiant and she was delightful. She was always willing to jump on the phone for a call any time we had questions. When she gave us a draft of her ceremony script she told us to run wild with it. She was so encouraging of us making the ceremony exactly what we wanted. My husband used her script as a jumping off point and inserted a lot of anecdotes and relationship tidbits so it was more personal to us and our story. And Cari's sing-song voice and cheery cadence made the moment so light (which definitely helped to ease my nerves and stage fright too!)

When we were looking for an officiant we were not sure what we wanted but for the first time we spoke to Celia we just knew! She was super helpful and it felt like she was 100% invested in our love story. We were lucky enough to work with Michael for the ceremony and he somehow totally understand our story from only a few short interactions…truly incredible! Celia was absolutely amazing! We cannot say anything more about how incredible she is. Much like our other vendors, she was a one done for us. From the minute we spoke with her partner at a bridal show, we knew we had found our officiant. She is always so upbeat, happy, and such a pleasure to speak with. Every call we had always left us smiling and laughing. Celia even knew all of our other vendors and had worked with them all previously, and had nothing but great things to say about every one of them. She also knew exactly what we needed as a couple. The ceremony and vows she wrote for us captured us perfectly, almost like she had been a long time friend. My best friend, who is recently engaged, said to me she wished she could book Celia for her own wedding, but unfortunately my friend lives in Texas (not sure if Celia would be willing to travel that far lol). Though I have been recommending her to local brides as well. I cannot say enough about how amazing she is - I wish I had more words but I’ve run out of adjectives to describe our wonderful experience.

We had at least 100 guests tell us how incredible Celia was and at least half of those people thought she was a relative or have known us for years. She did such a great job and really got to know us. It was personal and sweet while also being short. Exactly what we wanted. Thank you Celia!

Cari is an absolute dream!!!! My husband and I could not have been happier with our ceremony. When I first reached out to Celia, she was not available for our wedding date and recommended I connect with Cari, and assured me I would love her. And she was right!!! I could talk to Cari all day, she is so incredibly sweet, helpful, and truly wants to get to know you, your husband, and your love story. We received a questionnaire to fill out to help her to draft our ceremony and it was so fun to complete. After she sent us back our first draft of the ceremony, I was in awe. It was perfect and she told our story so well. She shared many options for readings which was incredibly helpful. Cari was very quick to respond and I enjoyed every single conversation we had leading up to the wedding and on our special day. We had people asking if she knew us after the ceremony and it goes to show how much she cares about you as a couple and getting to know you. We worked with Michael Yelle and he did a fantastic job! So many of my guests thought that we knew Michael personally based on the way he conducted the ceremony, but the only time we met him in person was the day of the wedding. We spent hours on the phone with both Celia and Michael talking about our lives and they were able to craft the perfect ceremony based on our conversations and a thorough questionnaire. We were able to see the ceremony script ahead of time and make sure it captured what exactly we wanted. Our guests raved about our ceremony!!

Celia was the best choice we made to officiate our ceremony. From the first moment we talked to her, we knew we wanted to have her be our officiant. She was attentive, funny, caring and extremely easy to talk to. She listened to exactly what me and my husband wanted in the ceremony and her suggestions completely brought our whole vision to life. She was there to help us every step of the way from planning the ceremony, how to get your marriage license taken care of, and making herself available when needed if any issues and/or concerns happen. I waited a little late to book an officiant - like maybe 6 weeks in advance! I found Celia Milton Officiants and after chatting with Celia, she put me in touch with Cari. Cari was absolutely awesome from our first phone call. I was a bit anxious because I felt I waited too late, but she assured me that she could put together a beautiful personalized ceremony - and did she deliver!! After chatting with her on the phone and filling out questionnaires about ourselves and our relationship, Cari put together such a lovey ceremony. I cried when I read the draft! She helped us to pick out readings for our godmothers and planned a lovely rose ceremony for our mothers.
So many of my guests told me that Cari’s energy during the ceremony was wonderful and I 100% agree. I definitely recommend Celia and Cari if you’re looking for a beautiful personalized ceremony.

We chose Cari because we went to another wedding she had officiated and were super impressed and she did not disappoint for our own May 2022 wedding! We received so many compliments on our wedding ceremony and that’s all thanks to Cari! We were having a lot of trouble finding a wedding officiant until we found Ceila. She was very friendly and personable and loved to chat with us during the wedding planning. It was great that she was so amendable to changing and having us review her speech and helping us write our own vows along with printing them in a nice booklet for us. We really appreciate Ceila and was an amazing person to work with and glad we found her for our ceremony.

CELIA AND CARI SAVED MY WEDDING!
And they didn't just save it...they made it the BEST! CEREMONY! EVER!
Three weeks before my wedding, I found myself anxious as the officiant I had booked was not replying to my emails and had not provided any information as to what our day would look like. In a panic, I started looking for recommendations and Celia Milton was recommended by both my venue and my town municipal office.
We called Celia and had the most amazing time. She instantly made us feel at ease and excited. Celia was not available on our day, but luckily, Cari was. We had an amazing discovery call with Celia and she gave us so many amazing ideas. A day or two later, we connected with Cari. We were able to tell immediately that Cari loved what she did and she went out of her way to give us a beautiful ceremony on such short notice. She had a very through call with us, sent us a questionaire, and in a few days had a rough draft of a script to us with multiple readings to chose from. We only had a few minor edits, and we had a perfect and personalized script.
The day of the wedding, Cari gave us the most beautiful ceremony we could imagine. She read so beautifully - her ceremony was so beautiful and personal, and most of all uplifting. Her word choices were modern and constructive. And her delivery was incredible. She has the most beautiful voice - some of our guests were hard of hearing and we were told that they were able to hear her perfectly, she enunciated so well.
My only regret is that I didn't find Celia and Cari sooner so I could have spent even more time getting to know them. Amazing energy, amazing people. BOOK THEM! They are the best.

Celia is AMAZING! We are so thankful that we stumbled across Celia's name on the Knot because the ceremony she prepared was absolutely beautiful. From the day we first zoomed Celia through our wedding day, she was very communicative about the process (including how to get marriage licenses, etc.) and really took the time to understand our story in order to incorporate it into the ceremony. Celia was great –positive, lighthearted, and uplifting vibe. She was fun to talk to and easy to work with. We knew right from the start of our first conversation with Celia that we would choose her to be our officiant. Our ceremony was perfect – serious enough for the weight of a wedding, but also fun. She had great ideas, and had us approve the script ahead of time. She was open to all of our edits as well and wasn’t offended by our changes. Communicating details leading up to the day was a little difficult, there could have been a little more organization, but everything worked out in the end. Celia also filed our marriage certificate for us and sent us instructions on what happens next and how to get it, which was so helpful. After the ceremony all of our guests were asking how we knew her because they were all sure she was an old family friend. It was perfect. We highly recommend Celia!

We struggled for a long time finding our officiant, but we’re so glad we ended up with Cari! She was so friendly and wonderful to work with before, during, and after the ceremony. She is so personable and easy to talk to, which makes it the ceremony feel very intimate, as she’s able to add touches that are truly personal to you! We can’t recommend her enough (as well as Celia, who connected us with her and was just as personable and wonderful to work with!).

Celia was a pleasure to work with. We had so much fun talking to her and she put together our ceremony and all of our guests thought we've known her for years! Our most reoccurring compliment at the wedding was about her and our ceremony. We felt she really got to know us and our story and reflected it beautifully in the ceremony she wrote and put together. Look no further! The best officiant! She even incorporated jewish ceremony elements in with ease and is great with any cultural elements.

Not enough words to say how fabulous our experience with! First off we were very lazy about looking for an officiant because we were nervous! We didn’t know how we would select them and how we would make the choice. We searched and searched and spoke to about 5 people. They were all just OK. But once we chatted with Celia it just clicked. She was real with us, open, and really funny! She was super sweet and thoughtful and sympathetic to our situation of having multiple postponements. Once we booked her the rest of the experience was just so smooth. She worked with us and let us review our ceremony script multiple times until we were happy. She gave us tons of ideas since we weren’t sure what we wanted to do with the ceremony. Afterwards, she handled all the paperwork for us and was very prompt with making sure all the legal stuff was taken care of. She is a such a pro and we are forever grateful for her. The beautiful words she said during our ceremony is something we will never forget.
