I believe that the promise you make on your wedding day deserves to be memorialized in a way that does justice to your love story. The images we’ll create together will become your first family heirloom. I do not take that responsibility lightly! Saying Celisia is amazing would be an understatement. She knows what she is doing and that knowledge extends well beyond her photography skills. She was extremely easy to work with. And she was instrumental in helping me with my wedding day timeline! I do not know that things would have gone as smoothly as they did without her. I am so grateful to have found her. We had an amazing experience working with Celisia! We have received endless compliments on our gorgeous photo gallery, and Celisia was extremely helpful with putting together a day-of timeline to guide our planning process. Photography was the most important piece for us after picking our venue, and Celisia worked with us to find a package within our budget. My husband and I both have large families, and Celisia very kindly and efficiently was able to give clear guidance for all pictures we requested. She fully captured the story and joy of each part of our day. I would recommend working with Celisia to anyone looking for a wedding photographer-she is phenomenal!

Celisia was so knowledgeable about planning the wedding timeline, she answered our dozens of questions both on the phone and via email, and was always kind and professional.
Ceri was our day-of photographer, and we had an absolute blast with her! Ceri made everyone feel so relaxed, was so funny and sweet, and took some absolutely stunning pictures of us, our guests, and many special details and moments throughout the day.
We received sneak peaks of the photos within 2 weeks of our wedding, and our full online gallery was sent to us in under 8 weeks. We are thrilled with the pictures and have been showing them off to all of our friends and family. We would 100% recommend both Celisia and Ceri to anyone looking to have professional photos taken. Details: We worked with Celisia Stanton Photography for our wedding in September 2023. We spoke with Celisia and set up the plan, and then Colette (associate) was our photographer for the day. Celisia was super helpful and friendly. She built a schedule for the day, which we then used for ourselves and other vendors. She was also flexible with our needs, and informative. We had no idea where to start, and she made the process so easy.
Colette was absolutely wonderful. She made us (and everyone else) feel comfortable in front of the camera with her laid-back and bubbly demeanor, and rolled with the punches with ease. She told us exactly how to pose to get beautiful photos, but in such a way that we didn’t even really notice she was doing it. It felt very natural. She was also incredibly efficient, so photos took less time than we expected, giving us more precious time with family and friends. We received our photos (so many!) very quickly, and they are gorgeous and fun! We absolutely adore them, will treasure them for the rest of our lives, and would not change a thing.

I worked with Celisia Stanton for my engagement photos initially. I had a wonderful experience with her! She is extremely personable and professional, and the associate that did our engagement photos did a wonderful job. We were very happy with them.
When we finally decided on a wedding date, I knew immediately that we would work with Celisia again. I'm so happy with our choice to do so. We worked with another one of her associates, and everything was perfect. I appreciate the timeline that Celisia went through with me as I planned out my wedding day.
The day of the wedding, Ceri, our photographer, did a fantastic job staying with the timeline we made and making it a fun experience. I am so excited to see how the final photos turn out!
We booked 8 hours and worked with Colette as our lead associate and also added a second photographer. By talking with Celisia beforehand, we were able to plan out most of the day and pick the duration that was right for us. The schedule was realistic and we kept pretty much to it on the big day. Both photographers were punctual and extremely professional, not to mention the photos turned out great. The directions they gave us were easy to follow and they found some great spots at our venue despite never having been there before. We really enjoyed Celesia’s editing style and were impressed with the turnaround on the pictures. We got a sneak peek just three days after the wedding which let us post professional photos while still on our honeymoon. Overall we highly recommend booking through Celisia Stanton photography.

My fiancé and I wanted to get some nice photos done to announce our engagement. We had very few nice photos together and I had been following Celisia's business for a while. I was so drawn to the realness and warmth of her style.
Celisia was communicative and super helpful at helping us figure out what we wanted and provided a ton of resources for how to prepare for our shoot. Though my boo and I were nervous and even though it was SO cold that day, the associate that took our photos was so much fun and fantastic to work with.
Not even 48 hours later, we had a sneak peek of our photos that had both me and my fiancé crying. Our love and personalities were captured so perfectly! I would totally recommend Celisia Stanton Photography for anyone looking for authentic and fun photos.

LOVED working with Celisia, we have now went to her for engagement pictures, our wedding, maternity pictures and now family pictures with our son. For our engagement pictures, both my partner and I were so nervous that we would have to show PDA, but she helped us feel so comfortable, we had a blast! It honestly felt like a date night! Also loved working with Celisia because she helped us create a schedule for our wedding/ had a better idea on how long things took! On our wedding day she took charge with our families and made sure to keep things moving, hands down so happy we went with her!

We used Celisia Stanton Photography for our wedding in September 2021. One of Celisia’s associates, Colette, was our photographer and the shots are amazing. Celisia was such a delight to work with! Celisia took our engagement photos, her associate Mariah took our micro-ceremony photos, and Celisia and her associate Jess took our larger reception photos. Celisia was flexible when we needed to change our wedding plans to have a micro-ceremony and a later, larger reception due to the pandemic which was much appreciated. Celisia has a knack of making you feel so comfortable right away. It was so fun taking photos with her and her associates. We loved how Celisia gave excellent direction to us and our wedding party on how to pose for the photos. Turnaround for the edited photos was quick and we were shocked at how many sneak peeks we received. The photos were gorgeous and so many people have asked us who our photographer was -- they're that good! We cannot recommend Celisia enough.

Celisia is not only an incredible photographer but truly just an amazing person! From our first chat on the phone, my husband and I knew that Celisia was exactly who we wanted to work with for our engagement and wedding photos. Celisia traveled to Chicago to shoot our engagement photos on our last night of living in the city and she made this experience so special for us! On the day of our wedding, Celisia was truly our rock. Having her there to photograph all of our special moments and just her calm and organized presence on the day was the best decision we made of our entire wedding! We cannot wait to work with Celisia again in the future and for her to capture our life memories to come!

Celisia was AMAZING! We got married in September 2020 and we could not be happier with our photos and the memories she captured! She made it so easy to take photos, she gave us directions on how to pose as a couple and in our group photos. Celisia was on a very short list of photographers that we had in mind after we got engaged in Spring 2019. For our engagement and wedding pictures, we really wanted someone who would have the photos really reflect the day for what it was. Celisia did just that. When we were meeting with photographers, she came up with packages that fit our needs, she was really comfortable to work with (also helps that she and I went to school together back in the day), and brought a lot of energy to the shoots. Something that I looked at a lot when it came to photographers was the ethnic and racial diversity of their portfolios. I knew that was something important to Celisia, and that's what sealed the deal for me.
Not unrelated, but just a great tidbit, during our couples' pictures before the ceremony, I went to pose with my husband and my leg just cramped up, I had to cling to him to keep from falling over. Jessica, the second shooter, offered to go grab water and basically made it to the basement of the church and back outside in less than five minutes. The rest of that portion they both made sure that I hydrated and break if needed. It was a great experience, and we really appreciated the ease and respectfulness they had for our venue when taking pictures.
We've gotten lots of compliments about all of our pictures since receiving the full gallery back. Overall, an amazing experience, would highly recommend, and support Black businesses, especially professional services like photography!

What can I say about our wedding pictures? Celisia is so organized! She had us fill out a questionnaire to describe details that were important to us, along with a photo shot list. It made wrangling family after the ceremony a complete breeze!
It's been a few weeks since we received our wedding pictures and there isn't a day that goes by that I don't look at them. They are absolutely gorgeous and I love how natural they are! Celisia captured every amazing moment of our most perfect day.
Because we loved working with her, we set up a session with us and our dogs. Minus one of the dogs barking the first 10 minutes, she captured so many beautiful moments.
I am beyond happy with everything she has done for us and highly recommend working with her. We truly hope she continues to capture our memories for a long time to come.
Celisia took our engagement and wedding photos! She suggested we do an engagement session to help us get comfortable in front of the camera and also her presence. We were nervous, but she made the session super fun and easy! She gave us enough direction to keep the session moving, but never forced anything that made us feel unlike ourselves. She also brought a portable speaker and played music in the background, which helped us relax.
Since we loved our engagement photos and all of the natural lighting, Celisia was also our wedding photographer. She was super organized leading up to the day of, and asked us to fill a timeline out for her. The day of our wedding, she definitely kept us on track and on time! We added a few group photos at the last second, and Celisia just rolled with it. She and her assistant were super sweet, and made photos a breeze. Celisia even gave us a few printed out photos THE SAME DAY of our wedding before they left for the evening. A few days later, we got a ton of sneak peak photos and they are GORGEOUS. I’ve looked at them every day since she shared them. We can’t thank Celisia enough!

I would highly recommend Celisia Stanton Photography. My fiance and I had so much fun taking our engagement photos! We had never taken professional pictures before so we were a little nervous, but Celisia kept us relaxed and laughing the entire time. She had plenty of poses for us which made it easy, but she often asked if there was anything we wanted to try or do differently. The smiles and laughs in my pictures are genuine; she perfectly captured our love and happiness and I am so grateful!

Not only did our photos turn out AMAZING, our experience with Celisia was wonderful. She did an engagement session with us and photographed our wedding along with her assistant photographer Katie. Celisia has a way of helping you loosen up and be yourself in front of the camera. She tries to get to know you and truly makes the session about you as a couple.
The weekend of our wedding, we had many family and friends come ask us where Celisia was from and stated how efficient and friendly she was. Not only that, she is insanely skilled and thoughtful. I met Celisia a few years before I got married and always knew that I wanted to have her as my wedding photographer even though I don't live in Minnesota anymore. Celisia flew out to shoot my wedding in Washington,D.C. and I couldn't be happier with the results of the photos. I was impressed with her flexibility and commitment to providing us with the best experience and the best pictures. For starters it started pouring rain for our family photos and Celisia didn't blink an eye. She grabbed an umbrella and shot away. During the ceremony it seemed like she was everywhere at once. She did a great job at capturing both the candid moments full of emotion along with the more formal shots. Both my husband and I have big families that don't listen very well, yet Celisia was able to bring everyone together in a professional way and gave great cues so everyone knew what to do.
