wedding on October 8, 2016. They flawlessly executed some all time favorite classics but were also up to date with current music. From the time we inquired about their services to the moment we booked them, we were treated with the highest level of professionalism and flexibility from Joe Bonacci. Joe worked really closely with us to get a sense of the kind of music we'd like to hear, and to learn the music we definitely wanted to hear. He was incredibly organized and very on top of his communications. The band really made the environment a party and the crowd's energy fed into the music options they played. We had to move our ceremony to take place at our venue which we realized two weeks before the wedding; we then realized we needed to add ceremony music. Joe was extremely accommodating and added an extremely talented trio of musicians to play all of the classical music we would have had playing at our church ceremony. The venue itself was not a traditional intuitive venue to set up in, however Joe and his crew arrived early and adapted seamlessly. Obviously I'm biased because it was our wedding, but I thought the music was just incredible. A number of our guests came up to us the next day and said the band was outstanding and could not stop talking about what a fun night it was (largely in part of the band bringing everyone on to the dance floor with their high energy and fun music). As I mentioned before, Joe could not have been more accommodating! We had special requests for our first dance, our dance with our parents (my dad added some special lyrics to our song), and all were met! I had envisioned "icing" my new husband under the guise of a garter toss; the band met my request to play a hybrid of Ice Ice Baby and Under Pressure in tribute to the late David Bowie. My husband is 16 years into his Navy career; he and his buddies wanted to surprise serenade me with The Righteous Brothers' "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" a la Top Gun. Unbeknownst to me, he had talked to the band and arranged it ahead of time; they even let one of his fellow pilot friends borrow a microphone. A lot of them said it was one of the best renditions they had done yet particularly because the band was so awesome. We were all so impressed with the wide range of genres the band was able to cover as well. From Sinatra to Beyonce to Garth Brooks, they played it all perfectly. When looking at bands, we talked to our friends who were married a few years back in NY and they mentioned how while they thought their band was great, as a couple they were not given much, if any, creative license on what types of music would be played and they were kind of at the mercy of what the band picked. While I would definitely trust CSO's judgement for picking music to play, I liked that we were invited to collaborate on the process and give some suggestions. Planning a wedding is stressful enough but it helps when you have vendors you can trust to do an excellent job. We felt like the band had a very personal investment in making our wedding the most memorable evening of our lives. I would absolutely recommend Center Stage Orchestras to anyone looking for a band for a wedding or other event (I'm trying to strategize my next opportunity to plan a big party so we can party with them again!).
