I was an intern, our company hired him and my managers loved him. I found the entire experience to be confusing, conflicting, and had a lot of bad guest feedback on specially just the DJ and Emcee. I found Ron to be a bit controlling after reflecting and getting feedback from others. //CONSULTATION// My initial consultation was great and I thought it’d be great because of my call with him was so exciting and I felt like I was being taken care of. //COORDINATOR AND RON// Ron had a lot of feedback about my coordinators timeline - he has a lot of experience from weddings which I don’t doubt. He didn’t agree with her timeline and proposed a new timeline. I was stuck as a middleman and had to relay to my coordinator and he kept asking me to tell her about these changes. This is the last thing I wanted to do the week before and there’s a reason why I hired a coordinator. Talk to her directly if you don’t agree. I understand I have the final say but it put me in a very awkward position and stressful position. We ended up going with my coordinators timeline and everything worked out very well! Yes we were a bit behind but Ron’s recommendation included changing back into my wedding dress again just didn’t make sense. I’m so glad I listened to my coordinator. //DAY OF WEDDING// //GROOMSMEN DANCE// In my call with him I explicitly told him that the groomsmen and my bridal party were coming in and doing a dance and NOT walking in like a normal entrance. I also had it clearly written out in the agenda to play the song starting from the beginning 00:00 to 0:33 seconds. See attached image and video you’ll see the video starts at the wrong time. The DJ played the wrong start time (started around 0:10 or after) and the guys messed up the entire dance because they choreographed the beginning. The groomsmen messed up - but what irked me the most was I overheard my cousin talking to him about their dance before saying how they were going to enter. Ron goes “I didn’t even know you guys were doing a dance”. He didn’t even listen to my groomsmen and acted like it’ll be okay. I clearly told him in my call and him saying that and to have him forget was so unprofessional. He did not do his due diligence in listening to requests and simply forgot. My groomsmen were annoyed and clearly upset at his passive aggressive response to my cousin. It wasn’t about the messing up but more the attitude towards my party. //FIRST DANCE PERFORMANCE// We were going to sing this song called Marry You by Bruno Mars and dance to it after our slow dance. I sent him the Spotify version and of course, the song was incorrect. He showed it to me on his computer which weirdly had the right title but started playing Just the Way You are by Bruno Mars. Mistakes happen but he said “yeah this is the right song this is what you sent me!”. Sir if you can’t tell the difference between the two songs - I’m concerned. Did you even listen to it beforehand? //GAMES// We had a game which was extremely successful! It’s the game where everyone pulls a chair up and tries to find items from the crown! However Ron only wanted 6 chairs and my coordinator had to be extra persistent in getting more chairs because It makes the game more fun with more participants. I heard him saying it’s usually only this amount but my coordinator pushed for it. I think it made the game more fun anyways. //PLAYLIST// Ron had asked me to send over playlists and I noticed during the reception only like 40% or less of my songs were played when the dance floor opened up. I heard that DJs normally don’t follow all the songs because it might ruin the vibe of the crowd but also, I specifically requested those in his request form because I had friends who had come where we have specific memories of these songs. And I went up to Ron and asked him to play this Chappelle Roan song. It was on my list but because they barely played any of my songs I requested it to be sure it was played. He kind of gave me a weird look and said that was supposed to be my last song but okay with Some attitude //OVERALL// I think Ron still brought the energy and aside from those mishaps no one noticed the other things - but unfortunately I didn’t get positive vibes from him. I do appreciate that during the event he hyped the crowd up and also got our Asian greeting table done in a timely manner. Do more research beforehand and actually take the time to do good quality work and pay closer attention to the agenda. I’m surprised at all these reviews if I’m being honest.
