aff is incredible. From the moment she responded to my inquiry, Maggie felt like a friend. She was so fun and kind showing us the venue and sharing the building's history. When we saw this venue, we changed a significant portion of our original vision because we realized how perfect this venue would be for us. Throughout the entire planning process, it really just felt like they wanted us to have a great wedding and weren't too concerned with only making money. The rental fees are super affordable and very inclusive. In addition to renting the ballroom and salon, we had use of the bride and groom suites, free parking, more than enough tables and chairs (and they are pretty chairs!), and security during the event, and we were able to bring stuff the day before, including food for while we were getting ready, so we weren't frantically trying to get everything in the morning of. Maggie was also incredibly kind to meet us for a final walkthrough a week before the wedding outside of regular hours, and she got up at the crack of dawn the morning of to make sure we could get into the bridal suite in time for hair and makeup to start. She even gifted us champagne for the morning mimosas. They also do their own bar here, and it was better than anything we could have found elsewhere. They have standard bar packages, but they are also happy to customize. Craft beer is important to my husband and I, and Maggie got us several wonderful craft beer selections at no extra charge. The bar packages were also generous. We opted to get the highest level package, which came with a massive array of really nice liquors. People commented to me how impressive the selection was. Not only was it a great bar selection, it was very affordable. It was cheaper per person for us to get the full bar package of nice liquors, wines, and beer here than the lowest level package of beer and wine only at our rehearsal dinner. They were so accommodating to our requests it was almost suspicious - the only thing that they were firm about was making sure we did the sparkler exit outside, obviously. Seriously, we could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding. If you are looking for a historic venue with a beautiful spacious ballroom, you can't go wrong with Centro Asturiano. I had never heard of the venue before I started wedding planning, but I am so beyond thrilled to have found it, and it now holds a very special place in my heart.
