touch! It’s hard to choose someone to officiate your wedding but Rev. Kent made it super easy and stress free. My husband and I definitely recommend him!

ofessional officiant because 1) we both know multiple officiants and didn’t want to chose between loved ones/didn’t want to break it to them that we didn’t want it to be religious, 2) we wanted a ceremony and can’t really do that when self-uniting 3) we didn’t have a mutual friend we loved/who met us both around the same time to officiate. When we first met Reverend Kent, we thought he was very nice and was easy to talk to. We were VERY clear from the first meeting we wanted a non-religious ceremony with no mention of God or Jesus - all of which he was was okay with doing and said he’s performed non-religious ceremonies before. So we booked him. We actually preferred someone else but we respected that they said they wanted to still insert God and Jesus into their non-religious ceremonies during the blessing so we passed on them to go with Revered Kent. Red flag number 1: during our final chat with Rev. Kent we said we wanted traditional vows during our ceremony ex. “in sickness and in health…”, “for richer and for poorer…” , etc. and his immediate response was “well send me your personal vows and I’ll make sure they match in tone and length, and then send it back to each of you privately tweaks”. For 1) we literally just asked for very straightford vows and told him why and he ignored that. Also, he didn’t give us any feedback on when we ultimately did do what he suggested, thus not fulfilling his promise. Red flag two: not finding us before the ceremony to discuss the ceremony since he wasn’t at the rehearsal. Now when we first interviewed him, he himself rest assured us that he really didn’t need to be at the rehearsal because he’s done a million of them and felt like he didn’t need to be there. Had I known he was going to get all religious at our ceremony when we asked for non-religious.. I would’ve definitely had him come. He was no where to be found before the ceremony. Didn’t bother to come into the bridal suite to check in and review game plan before. Third red flag: We were VERY Clear we wanted a nonreligious ceremony in the initial talks. And since we brought it up so many times, we didn’t think it needed to be brought up again in the final chat. And yet during the ceremony Reverend Kent made this whole big religious prayer and I’m looking at him the whole time like “Stop, what are you doing?! Please stop”. I almost put my hand on my now husbands mic and ask him in front of everyone “what are you doing we said no religious prayer”. We would’ve been fine with “please bless this beautiful day”, but not “our father, god, who let Jesus bless us..” literally what we discussed NOT TO DO and he didn’t pay attention... So you can see it in my face the whole video of our ceremony like “what are you doing?!” And visibly upset. Fourth red flag: I asked him to announce us as “Mr. And Mrs. (X) and (Y) (last name)” so that both our families could here my first name paired with my now husbands last name for the first time… and he didn’t announce us as that. Just “husband and wife” because he forgot our names. Fifth red flag: “who gives this bride away” - I asked him to change it during the ceremony to a non-misogynistic verbiage which I will give him credit he did do during the ceremony. But he gave me a problem about it during our final talk.

He has a way of making everyone feel included even if they do not all necessarily share the same religion. He incorporated religion into our ceremony with prayer & spoke from the heart about the importance of love and commitment. We would 10/10 recommend him to any couple getting married! If you're having a ceremony in the Philadelphia & surrounding area, I couldn't recommend Rev. Foster more. My wife and I really appreciated how he put out his best effort to make sure our day was as special as it was.

Foster was more than I planned for from start to finish. I rarely give unsolicited praise but with the way he carried out the ceremony he was almost more of a highlight than I was! He helped us plan what is probably one of the most tear jerking ceremonies anyone in my family has ever been too all while keeping a calm, kind, and appreciative demeanor. You could not literally wish for a better officiant through and through. I would get married again to my lovely wife just to say hi. Thank you from the very depths of our hearts Reverend. d Kent. I reached out to him and was able to meet via zoom a week after contacting him. He promised to reserve my wedding date until we had our meeting and then to my surprise the day of our meeting he texted me and said he gave my date away to a couple that he met with a while back who never got back to him! I cannot believe how untrustworthy this man is! I would never use him or recommend him to anyone!!!

Our family and friends were all telling us how beautiful the ceremony was and we felt Kent did a phenomenal job. You could tell he is well rehearsed and prepared and has been doing this for a while. It was a huge help as wedding got closer, I was too busy with lots of moving things. We also had him over for our rehearsal as well. He was very friendly to all our friends and family. Same during the wedding. I don’t remember a single moment when he didn’t have smile on his face. He performed a great ceremony. He was very warm, kind, and sweet during the ceremony and after. Having him to marry us was one of the best decisions we made. I don’t have enough words to thank him, but I still want to say thanks to Reverend Kent to make our wedding so special for us.

She gave us suggestions and ideas when we had little to no idea what we were doing. She made sure that everything we needed to do was in order and done in time. Even though we has just met Barbara, it felt very comfortable and as if she were a friend on our wedding day. erfect ceremony flow that was short & sweet while still incorporating all the important moments. We added some fun/personal lines to our traditional vows which was very memorable to both our guests and to my husband and I. The most important piece about Rev. Kent's ceremonies is that right before he tells the groom to kiss the bride, HE MOVES OUT OF THE WAY! so your photographer can get a great shot of just the two of you and not your officiants head in the middle of your first kiss. This may seem silly but was SUPER important to me because I always found it awkward that the officiant's head is in the middle of people's first kiss photo!! He moves slightly to the side by the groomsmen and allows you to have the most picture perfect moment for your first kiss. Rev. Kent was responsive, professional and an all around good human! We loved working with him and would definitely recommend him to any couple looking to have a flawless ceremony.
