C'est La Vie Cakes

Have really enjoyed working with C'est La Vie Cakes. Gave a great presentation and booked for our wedding. Very VERY dependable. Have also called a few times for anniversaries and holidays. Always puts a special little touch to celebrate the occasion. Thank you for what you do!

Best cake we could’ve asked for! Courtney really made our cake vision come to life in the most beautiful way, and all 3 flavors we picked were absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments on the cake appearance and flavor - Would definitely recommend!

Attended a wedding on October 6 2023. The cake was beautiful however it had a strong chemical taste to it…..a real industrial flavor. The cake tasted terrible! I hope no one got sick from eating it.

I could not recommend hiring Courtney enough for your wedding. Don't even look anywhere else. The cake was beyond amazing in both taste and decoration!! We did a mix of cupcakes with a smaller two tier wedding cake so there was a mix of flavors. Everything was super moist, the flavors were great, and nothing was overly sweet. What sold me during the tasting was the wide variety of gluten free cake flavors she had (beyond only chocolate and vanilla). We even decided to use her for our rehearsal dinner desserts and got a variety of cheesecakes and brownie bites. To top it all off the price was super reasonable. I can't recommended her enough!!

Courtney is an exceptional baker and any bride should book her immediately. I am not a cake person. My husband-to-be insisted we do a tasting with her and get a wedding cake. Her flavors range from traditional to creative and every single one was absolutely delicious. The cake was beautiful and fairly priced--exactly what we wanted. We were able to have multiple flavors and have had multiple guests tell us it was some of the best wedding cake they have ever had. Some even had multiple pieces to try all the different flavors. The top of our cake didn't even make it through January--we quickly took it out of the freezer and ate it with family during Christmas/New Years rather than have it sit frozen for a year. It's just that good. Thank you Courtney for converting me to being a cake lover!

Courtney’s cake was a great addition to our wedding! It was absolutely delicious and looked amazing. She was very easy to work with throughout - at our complimentary tasting she had several popular flavor combinations already paired for us but we had a chance to mix and match as well. I love that she has several unique flavors (we went with champagne cake with raspberry and Bavarian cream fillings) that are different than your typical wedding cake. Our guests absolutely loved the cake and we had multiple people tell us how tasty it was. We highly recommend Courtney and C’est La Vie!

I cannot say enough good things about C'est La Vie Cakes. Courtney was amazing to work with from start to finish. We scheduled our tasting and brought along my maid of honor to her adorable shop. She was the friendliest person and took a ton of notes on what we liked, what we didn't like. She helped us figure out how much to buy as well. The tasting was so much fun, one of the highlights of wedding planning. We got to take home all the things we tasted and ate off it until we were sick. We didn't have a wedding planner, but she made organizing the drop off super easy. I didn't even see the desserts arrive because I was running all around getting ready. But when I saw them set up, I was stunned. They were GORGEOUS and smelled amazing. My sugar levels crashed about an hour before the ceremony and I was feeling shaky, so my mom brought me a cupcake off the table. It was delicious and it put me back right side up so I could be sugared up and ready for the ceremony. We completely forgot to confirm we needed trays. Rather than just say 'Oh well' and deliver the desserts hoping we'd figure it out, she brought the cutest trays along with her anyway to make sure the desserts had something to go on. They were a smash hit. People were obsessed with the cheesecake bites and I had a lemon bite and nearly fainted it was so good. Everyone loved them. I can't wait for the next chance to work with Courtney again just to get my hands on more of her incredible desserts.

Couldn't reccomend C'est La Vie Cakes enough for wedding cakes! Our whole experience with Courtney was great. We got to try many flavors at the tasting and Courtney took notes on which were our favorites. Then we made our final decision a month or two before our weddiing. The cake was not only stunning, but it was sooo delicious! I'm not usually a huge cake person and I ate three pieces that night LOL. Thank you so much Courtney!!

Courtney was awesome to work with. We loved planning our cake with her at our tasting, and it came out exactly the way we wanted it the day of. She was able to make GF/DF cupcakes for us which we appreciated and we received so many compliments on how good the cake was!

Courtney and C’est La Vie did a spectacular job for our wedding cake, it was just like we envisioned and delicious. Our cupcakes were beautiful and everyone loved them! She was fun to work with and very helpful during the tasting to decide what flavors to go with. We felt pricing was completely reasonable and presentation was fantastic.

Highly recommend! Courtney was absolutely amazing to work with. I was blown away when I walked in and saw the stunning cupcakes and cake displayed at my wedding. Every cupcake was beautifully decorated and my cake was perfect. Not to mention the taste of course! Absolutely delicious! I had several flavors and they were all a huge hit. We had hardly any leftovers which is the best review you can have!

She had a wonderful presentation for my husband and I when we visited her shop to taste on our day long cake tasting adventure. After visiting about 5 bakeries, we had no trouble deciding C'est La Vie Cakes was going to be our cake. I HIGHLY recommend doing your cake through Courtney!

Courtney, was an absolute pleasure from our tasting all the way through to our wedding day. Due to the pandemic our 1st date had to be rescheduled and she was very accommodating and understanding, which was a great relief! The day of our wedding the cake was phenomenal! The design was just as we had planned and the flavor of the cake was phenomenal! The carrot cake was an absolute hit and was devoured before the reception was over and the chocolate fudge was fantastic as well. We overheard many positive comments and ones directly told to us, which was, "that it was the best cake they have ever had". Hands down without any hesitation would hire her again and highly, highly recommended.

Our wedding cupcakes were DELICIOUS!!! Courtney was able to make all of them look beautiful, and was so accomodating to avoid using certain ingredients for our severe food allergy guests.

We loved working with C'est La Vie Cakes. During the tasting, all the cupcakes were sooooo delicious, like the best I've ever had. Our cake appearance came out amazing and Courtney went above and beyond to help us out with changing our order last minute when COVID hit and our guest list was cut by more than 60%. Our wedding cake was truly beautiful. We did a groomsman cake and cupcakes as well. The only reason this is not five stars is because I didn't realize the cake would taste so different from the cupcakes. I ended up not eating the cake and was glad we got the cupcakes. The guests had no complaints though. They polished everything off during the after party.

Courtney was great to work with for our wedding cake! Neither my husband or I lived in the area and we lived in separate states and she was very accommodating with our tasting, letting my husband pick up samples for us to try together! Each flavor we tried was delicious! We had a couple guests who are gluten free and she was super easy to work with to figure out our flavor option and helped us decide to do the top tier of our cake gluten free. The cake was both beautiful and delicious on our wedding day! We were very happy and plan to go to her for future cakes!

I loved working with Courtney! From the time we met her at our tasting until the many times we have visited her bakery for cupcakes since the wedding she has ALWAYS been extremely friendly and caring! I without a doubt am thrilled we chose her for our wedding cake. It was gorgeous and beyond DELICIOUS! I have family asked us to pick up cupcakes in our wedding flavors EVERYTIME we head home to visit with family. Courtney at C'est La Vie is an artist! I gave her a few inspiration photos for what I wanted our wedding cake to look like, and her creation was absolutely stunning! It was a 3-tier cake with a solid burgundy base, the middle tier was a solid mauve color and the top was a marbled design! Our cake and cupcakes were absolutely delicious and we got so many compliments throughout the night! Not a slice or cupcake was left in sight by the end of the reception! Thank you so much for creating the most beautiful cake a girl could ask for!

Delicious, easy to work with, and beautiful work. Courtney is a master of her craft, and highly recommended. Her initial tasting meeting was adorable (small cupcakes made to order), and her work was highly personalized. She was quite punctual, and the cake was a huge hit! We ran out so fast - people loved every bite. Pricing is very reasonable, and we are going to continue ordering cupcakes and small cakes from her in the future without a doubt. Working with Courtney was a breeze - and she will give you exactly what you are looking for.

C’est la vie made my dream semi-naked cake with greenery decor. She is the SWEETEST and her cake is DELICIOUS! Do not look any further!

Courtney is amazing!! When my husband and I walked into our reception, we couldn't take our eyes off our cake. Neither of us really knew what we wanted but Courtney was patient with us and offered a ton of ideas to help us settle on a design. In addition, the flavors she offers are unique and you don't have to compromise taste for looks like you have to with many other cake vendors. The cake was so good, my husband and I have contemplated taking our anniversary cake out of the freezer because its that good. The price is higher than the other cake bakers we looked at it but Courtney's cakes are worth every penny!

Hiring Courtney was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding- I don't really care for cake, but the cakes Courtney prepared for our tasting were so delicious. I was a little skeptical that she would be able to pull of the same level of flavor quality for 300 people, but she totally did. The decoration of the cake was also exactly as I had imagined- it was beautiful. I would absolutely recommend Courtney's cake to anyone.

They definitely did an awesome job with the wedding cake. I love it! It was exactly what I wanted and I am still amazing on how beautiful the cake was. Amazing variety of flavors including tuxedo, champaign, almond and more! Courtney is very easy to work with and creates exactly what you ask for. Almost every piece of cake was gone by the end of the night! My husband normally does not like cake, but this cake blew us away!

Courtney was fantastic! We didn't live in the area but she was so accommodating and responsive to my emails. She answered any questions I had for her. Cake testing was amazing and it was hard to decide what the flavors we wanted because everything tasted great. We ended up 3 each tier all different flavors because we couldn't decide. Our naked cake turned out beautifully and exactly what I imagined. Everyone told us how beautiful the cake looked and the best part was it tasted delicious! We are going to have her make our 1 year anniversary cake next May!!!!! We are looking forward to eating that cake too!

Our wedding cake was the best tasting cake I have ever had. When we came for a tasting I knew that this was who we needed to make our wedding cake. We ended up going with different flavored tiers instead of all the same because all of the flavors were so delicious we couldn’t narrow it down to only one. Our cake ended up looking exactly like the picture that we sent. I can’t wait to order another cake for an anniversary.

We could not have been happier with our wedding cake!! Courtney was awesome to work with and did an amazing job making the cake of my dreams :) When we first met Courtney at our cake tasting she was so sweet and had prepared a TON of flavors for us to try for our cake! I also have a gluten allergy and not only did she make a set of regular cupcakes for us to try, she also made a whole gluten free set just for me! After we picked flavors I showed Courtney some ideas I had found on pinterest and she made our cake look like everything I could have wanted and more!! She is SO talented!!

My husband and I met with the owner Courtney, who was amazing from the start. She had lots of flavors ready for us to choose from and helped us narrow down our choices. We ended up using four flavors for our cupcakes and two flavors in our wedding cake. The set up at the venue was amazing and they took the time to put all the cupcake pics we had bought on each cupcake. They also put the extra flowers the florist left into our cake! The guests loved the cupcakes and we loved the cake!! I definitely recommend her company for your wedding or special event!! Thank you again Courtney!!

AMAZING!!!! We can't thank Courtney enough for her BEAUTIFUL work! She was so easy to work with. Originally Courtney couldn't make our wedding date, but she took it upon herself ot reach back out with her change of plans that our date had become available... we were more than excited as she came HIGHLY recommended by many other's in her area. Our desserts were WONDERFUL!!! We received so many compliments not just on taste, but presentation as well. We truly could not have been any more pleased with C'est La Vie Cakes we would HIGHLY recommend them!! AMAZING!!!

Courtney was sweet and accommodating to work with for my daughter's wedding. She gave us 2 tastings which were the best part of the whole planning process! There was a serious problem, though,........every flavor and filling was delicious so it was hard to choose! The cake was beautiful and designed as my daughter specified with her grandmother' cake topper. But better than that, all 3 flavors were scrumptious and we had guests telling us so. Wedding hack: order extra sheet cake, bring plastic containers from Costco and serve the leftover the next morning at the brunch. Our guests loved having an extra taste and/ or boxing a piece up to take to the airport. Thank you, Courtney!

We turned to Courtney after first possible cupcake vendor had a family emergency and couldn't make the tasting we had scheduled. We were planning the wedding from over 500 miles away and were only in town for a week, so I scrambled, hoping someone would be able to fit us in for a tasting (not exactly something you can do over Skype or telephone). Courtney was able to get us in for a tasting within 48 hours. She asked if there was anything in particular we wanted to taste and then set us up with 6 other samples, as well. All of the cakes were amazing. She cost about the same as other cupcake vendors in the area The only draw back was that we had to supply our own cupcake stands and our venue only offered to rent us one for $50. But we got several disposable ones from a craft store and were all set. Courtney set up the cupcakes in a visually appealing way, and the cupcakes were really delicious. We had plenty of leftovers (because we over-ordered, not because people didn't eat them!), which was great for us!

Courtney is amazing!! We were not from the area, she spent a lot time going over all the fine details with me on the phone! Our cake was absolutely breaktaking! Her attention to detail is displayed in her work. Not only are her cakes beautiful but also delicious. All of our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was! Highly recommend!!

We had a July wedding and so many compliments on our cake - not just how it looked but how it tasted! And from the beginning with the cake tasting and through delivery of the cake, everything was great! We had flowers provided by our florist at the venue so Courtney placed those on the cake after it was brought to the venue and they looked gorgeous. We had three different flavors - champagne with raspberry (as a sheet cake), tuxedo with white chocolate and pink velvet with white chocolate and strawberry. Again, all our guests were raving that the cake was moist, delicious, and full of flavor! Courtney at C'est La Vie Cakes was fantastic and provided great service and I would highly recommend her.

I am so happy that we chose Courtney for our cake. The process was so easy and simple. We just told her want we wanted and she delivered! The cake combined with the fresh flowers was absolutely incredible. We selected the tuxedo cake for all of the layers and the guests said it was hands down the best wedding cake they have ever had, which in my large family, is huge given the amount of weddings we attend of a yearly basis! Dusty and I found out we were relocating to Wisconsin in a month and we hadn't picked out our cake maker yet. Luckily we found Courtney. She got us in quickly for a cake tasting. After that we did everything long distance. I sent her a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it! The cake looked amazing and tasted fantastic!
