To do a review on Chef Anand is to try and describe the indescribable. How does one describe the feeling of the love your mom gave you when you eat his fresh hot breads and lentils (daal)? How does one describe the complex chemical reactions of the palate right before biting into his delicious lamb chops? How does one describe having your brain trying to figure out why something so simple as a mushroom dish he made is still so memorable a month later after eating it. I would rather take my medical exams again, as they would be easier than trying to put into words, Chefs cooking. I will say, Chef Anand’s dedication to his clients is unsurpassed. I will say, his vision for how the food fits into the event is completely customized and curated for the event. I will say, his professionalism is unrivaled. As I like to say, ‘Chef Anand doesn’t just cook the goat, HE IS THE GOAT!’

We are writing this review to express our heartfelt gratitude to Chef Gaurav Anand and his exceptional CGA Catering team for helping make our son’s wedding highly successful with their culinary magic, professionalism, and outstanding service at each event during the 3-day celebrations. Chef Gaurav is highly creative, dedicated, friendly, and thoroughly professional from beginning to end. He and his catering manager Abla created menus with such a variety, tastes, and attention to details that words cannot describe. Every item in the menus was masterfully crafted by Chef Gaurav, brilliantly presented, served hot & fresh, and absolutely delicious and unforgettable! They even did a sit down family-style lunch after the wedding ceremony with complete perfection, which few caterers even try to attempt for a wedding this size. Chef Gaurav and Abla are very personable and fun to work with. They work hard to get to know you so that they can tailor the catering to your specific vision. We had a wonderful time at the food tasting with personal attention from Chef Gaurav, Abla, and his entire team. They made our decision so easy. We are privileged that Chef Gaurav chose to do our wedding during a very busy time of the year, with other clients competing for him during the same weekend, as he is one of the most sought-after caterer being the owner of three critically acclaimed New York city restaurants and having catered beautiful weddings in Italy, France, Mexico, Morocco, and all over the USA. Weeks or months after the wedding is over, everyone still talks about the food at our son’s wedding and remembers Chef Gaurav as a humble and friendly person who is also a top-of-the-line skillful and creative chef, and professional in everything he does. Every vendor, photographer, videographer, decorator, and DJ does their job, but Chef Gaurav truly lived this wedding and delivered beyond our expectations, with so much affection and care and made us feel as if we are his family members. Our truly heartfelt gratitude, sincere appreciation, and thanks to Chef Gaurav and his CGA Catering team. They are the best!

Chef Anand and his team at CGA are quite simply the best catering team out there. I cannot emphasize how thoughtful, kind, and diligent he and his team are in ensuring that your wedding day is perfection. Not only is the caliber of his cooking superb, his imagination, the creativity and individualization with which is dishes are created are unparalleled. Without question, Chef Anand invited my family and I in for multiple tastings of his food so that we could curate the perfect menu. My partner, Eva, and I got married in Detroit, Michigan. Chef Anand and the CGA team brought their equipment (including tandoor ovens) and their team to Detroit and helped make our Sangeet at the Shinola Hotel (Birdy Room) the brightest party ever. Our guests had never experienced Indian food like this before, and there is a reason for that - the unique and brilliant way Chef Anand connected with our guests, blew their minds away with the presentation of our stations and dishes, and made our entire wedding party feel like family is the reason he is the best Chef in town. Beyond his preparation of Indian dishes, Chef Anand is a wizard at cooking fusion dishes, whether it is Mexican cuisine, Chinese cuisine, or Italian cuisine. If you want to wow your guests with beautiful food of the highest caliber, Chef Anand and the CGA team is the perfect caterer for you. Every single guest came up to us at the end of the night and said that this is the best Indian food they have ever tasted. Lucky for me, I have been eating at Chef's restaurants for 13 years now - but for our guests, this was a treat like no other. More than the quality of services that Chef Anand provides, Chef Anand took care of Eva and I like we were his own family. Throughout the event, I got to taste all of the amazing food only because Chef Anand personally handed me each item his team prepared for me to taste. You cannot expect that with all vendors, but for Chef Anand, this is his baseline. Chef, you will forever be in my family, and I am so grateful for the incredible role your food played in the success of our wedding. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
