ade sure our special day was fully captured. He was incredibly flexible as our plans changed a few times with location and date. I loved the attention to detail, specifically how he focuses on details in photos to make sure there is nothing taking away from the couple. He actually wrote an awesome instagram post about the way he edits. His work is incredibly timeless and looking back I loved that we were not washed out or overly edited, but rather made sure we looked like ourselves in the best way possible. His ability to capture people and the moment is an incredible gift of his. We were married on top of a mountain and the photos take us straight back to the day we were married. If I could do it all again I would choose Chad. You will not regret having his calming presence around you for your big day.

e day for us, because that is where we will relive all of our memories. We were coming from out of town and he was very accommodating. He was very laid back and friendly, which was reassuring on our big day. Be patient about his response time, he will get back to you! Recommendations: Make sure that you have an idea of what specific pictures of what you want done and write a time table for when you want them done. Unfortunately, I had a basic one, but it wasn't specific enough. So I missed out on some pictures that I would have really liked to have. Not Chad's fault, just a little bit of guidance because you will forget things on your day!

e did not have a lot of specific requests or deadlines, and Chad seemed fine with that. He was great at coaching us through our bride and groom portraits, and blended into the background during the ceremony and reception. He captured the day in such a creative and romantic perspective- nothing looked staged or set up. We felt he responded promptly and had a nice time meeting him before the wedding as well. Thanks Chad for being so cool and for the amazing photos of our favorite day!

nd rainy...nevertheless, Chad still managed to provide us with TONS of stunning photos. I seriously don't even know how he managed to get some of the shots he did; he must have sprinted around like a mad man! Plus, our location was hard to find and we had quite a crammed space - but Chad still managed to do it all! Seriously, he's great. We looked around at photographers both above and below his price point, but we were both drawn to the natural-ness of his photography. What Chad does with lighting is amazing...that is what ultimately made us choose him. I cannot recommend him enough!!!

o with just my mom. The communication afterwords, though, is the reason why I didn't give him five stars. I felt like I had to constantly be checking in and that I was given the run around multiple times. I am huge on communication and I didn't feel like I was kept in the loop. It took us 6.5 months to get our photos and a few months to get our photos delivered to us. In short, it was not the post wedding experience I was hoping for. Overall, Chad is still one of the most talented photographers I've ever seen and I would still recommend him because of his product. I do recommend, though, that you be very clear about timelines and expectations.

To me, this is where the talent lies and was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a photographer for our wedding. We wanted the excitement and emotion to come through in photos instead of the posed, staged images one might expect. Chad and his assistant, Christie, worked quickly and efficiently the day of and were very stealth about capturing everything. Chad comes off as quiet, but this is because he is just an artist pondering what to capture next—the eye of the storm, perhaps? Chad also worked with us to provide a very affordable service for the quality he produced, as we were doing much of the wedding ourselves. Overall, I would definitely recommend Chad and his team to the couple that wants a variety of photos and emotions—much like the wedding day itself!

No 2,3 or 80 Chad Fahenstock shoots are the same, because no two couples are the same. Chad has a very unique style that will capture any couple. In such a short time, Chad can capture and understand who you are as a couple, and as an individual. There are “bridal portraits”…and then there are Chads pictures. Do not be a statistic. Book Chad for you engagement/wedding pictures.

y gorgeous and captured every aspect of our special day and is the most reasonably priced photographer in Colorado (believe me, we did a lot of searching!). He does a phenomenal job capturing emotions and moments that you might not typically remember. He does not just stand there and take every "smiley face" photo opportunity he gets. When looking through my wedding CD I really feel like I am at my wedding again. Not only are the photos unique but very professionally done. I looked at a few friend's wedding photos, who paid WAY MORE, and they were not nearly as nice as mine. Chad comes off very quite at first but he is perfectly capable of "gathering the troops" in order to get a good photo. I had an enormous bridal party of 22 people and him and his assistant were able to capture all of the photos that we wanted. I would highly recommend him to anyone and you should definitely take a look at his website because it shows off his photographer style and professionalism. Thanks Chad for making our day very memorable! :)

th nervous that we would come across as awkward in the photos, but Chad helped us both to relax and to look natural and we could not have been more pleased. Before the big day Chad had us fill out a couple questionnaires to make the day of run smoothly, and filling these out also helped us make a schedule for the day on our end. On the day of the wedding Chad and the second photographer, Sarah, were on time and got right to work. They both took pictures throughout the ceremony and then helped us to hurry through the family shots so that we had plenty of time to do a bunch of Brett and I before the reception. At the reception they did not miss a single moment that I wanted captured, plus caught many many more. We got the pictures back in a very timely manner and there are almost no words for how happy we were with the quality of the pictures. I plan to recommend Chad Fahnestock Photography to everyone I know getting married or for any other special event.

o a super nice guy (and easy on the eyes according to my bridesmaids). We received our CD and pictures earlier than promised, and I was floored at how gorgeous they were - especially considering how much we paid!! I have friends who paid TWICE as much as we did and their pictures aren't anywhere near as good! One of my girlfriends even admitted she was jealous. I literally had so many amazing and gorgeous pictures to choose from it was almost impossible to pick which ones to frame (I even went out and bought some extra frames there are so many). You can just tell from looking at his pictures how talented he is, and what a unique point of view he has. I truly feel like we got the deal of a century! If he has your date open, you would be insane not to book him! Highly, highly recommended!

lurry photos and their heads cut off in most of their pictures. They were worried about being nice since he was starting out. Well, his prices have gone up so he's competing with some real professionals now...and honestly, we are more concerned about you getting good wedding photos. The wedding day was the best day of our lives, except the photographer. Here are some of the challenges we faced at our wedding with Chad's work. On our big day, we were worried if he'd even show up, he was an hour late. His photos cut off the top of people's heads- even kids- very odd. We had dozens of people in from all over the world that we don't have any photos of! We even sent him a list of photographs we wanted in advance of our wedding date, but he said he left it in the car---and never went to go get it!!! I would not recommend spending your special day worrying about whether or not you'll get any pictures of your favorite great aunt while she was still alive at your wedding. The photos were awful, very shadowy, unfocused, the ones he posted were the only good ones out of hundreds. He's inexperienced and is still learning how to frame photos, and what's important to capture at a wedding. We don't have a traditional wedding photo of the two of us on our special day, what a heartbreak! Our contract said we'd have our photos in three weeks, they didn't come until nearly six weeks later. The proof site was glitchy and non-responsive. When we received the discs they were not labeled (unprofessional)...and we had to request them in the correct format again, so we're still waiting for the original contract to be fulfilled three months after the wedding. There were times when we had to tell him what lighting would work and what backgrounds to use--again, a lack of professionalism or experience. It seems he's more interested in his career as a photographer of rock stars rather than weddings. He is a nice guy but who gives a shart about nice when you're hoping to capture the best day of your life?! In short, it's way worth it to spend the extra money that it would take to get a professional...hindsight is 20/20.

ent photos turn out (we know they will be amazing after the one sneak peek we got) and look forward to working with him at our wedding (especially since there will be a 2nd Photographer - AWESOME!).
