Chanah first began harp lessons at the age of 11; she has continued to pursue the harp's versatility and grandeur throughout her studies at The Juilliard School: Precollege Division, The University of Michigan, and the University of Illinois, culminating with her Master of Music in Harp Performance and Literature degree. She performs frequently in the greater Metro-Detroit area; past clients have included the DIA, the Metro-Detroit Chorale, the University performances as an alumna, and of course, hundreds of weddings and romantic occasions.
Her primary event harp is made by the prestigious Italian manufacturer "Salvi." Their trademark luxurious, luminous sound and masterful craftmanship has led to custom commissions and performances for royal families and events. Chanah's own Salvi harp is a lovely Gilded Iris (Limited Edition) in rosewood and 24-carat gold, and a luxurious, vibrant, world-class sound.

We had the pleasure of having Chanah play the harp at our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and her music was absolutely beautiful. Chanah connected us with Angela Davis, a vocalist with an amazing voice, they added a touch of elegance that made our special day even more memorable.
Chanah has a large range of music in her repertoire and is willing to learn new songs that aren't already included. This flexibility allowed us to have the perfect soundtrack for our ceremony. From the moment they started playing, the atmosphere was filled with a sense of grace and sophistication. The combination of the harp and Angela's vocals created a magical ambiance that our guests are still talking about. Their performance was flawless, and they perfectly captured the emotions of the day.

Chanah was incredible! Her repertoire had a lot of variety from classics to pop culture, so plenty to choose from! Her pricing was transparent and honestly a steal for the quality of performance we received. We got tons of compliments from our guests!
I cannot recommend Chanah enough. Her communication was great up to and after the wedding, her playing was beautiful, and she went above and beyond when we had a speaker issue for our first and parent dance (non-harp) songs. Cannot recommend her highly enough!

For our wedding on May 4, 2024, I researched and deliberated extensively on the type of music I would book. Music is such an integral part of any wedding. I found Chanah, and she made the decision so easy. She was amazing to work with on every level. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is one of the nicest, most genuine people I've ever met. Her rates were also very reasonable as I hoped she would be willing to play my entire event, which was approximately 5 hours long. All of my guests loved her and her performance, they continue to mention her months later. She curated a beautiful selection of music for our wedding, combining my partners and mines nerdy selections with classic melodies. I could not have been more pleased, and I would more than happily work with her again as well as recommend her to anyone looking for this service.
Chanah was a gem to work with when curating the vibe we tried to achieve for our garden fairytale wedding! She worked closely with me to put together a beautiful playlist and was extremely responsive with all the questions and requests I threw her way! It's not often you come across a vendor who cares about your event as much as you do, but Chanah is truly that. From our first conversations hitting it off over our mutual love of cats, to her genuine interest in learning and understanding South Asian culture and music, and her absolute professionalism and expertise through it all, Chanah is an absolute gem. She helped me navigate through her very detailed portfolio of available songs and was able to honor nearly every request I had. She took on the song requests I had and played the more beautifully than I've ever heard. She made great professional recommendations around logistics for maximizing the harp experience the day of, and was extremely flexible during the actual event. She checked in at appropriate times in the weeks leading up to the event and all around made me always feel comfortable and confident in my decision to work with her. All these factors would have made her a 10/10 vendor, but then she went even further above and beyond. My fiance and I are South Asian and while I'd always dreamed of having a harpist for our event, I especially wanted to feature some of the special South Asian songs I grew up with. Chanah committed to one of my choosing among the list of options I'd sent her, but two days before our event she surprised me and let me know she'd perfected 4 more of the South Asian songs to the harp, in addition to even watching some of the movies they came from. I was actually in tears hearing this music played during our event in a more beautiful way than I ever had before. Chanah is extremely skilled as a harpist and is an incredibly genuine and kind human being. I would work with her over and over and could not recommend her enough! Chanah is the epitome of professional! From our correspondence via The Knot, to our first meeting Chanah was a pleasure to work with. Chanah performed at our wedding during our cocktail hour (outdoor) and through dinner (indoor) and we couldn't have been happier. She made sure to play all our Must Have songs and was very accommodating through a hectic day. Throughout the planning process she had wonderful suggestions to help make our day special and memorable. Having a harp performance really made our wedding day unique for us and our guests. Chanah was amazing! Through the whole process, she was so kind, thoughtful, and talented. She has a massive repertoire and made suggestions based on what we liked; my husband (!) and I are self-professed nerds, so she played excerpts from Lord of the Rings, Skyrim, and all of that nerdy stuff as well as more traditional, classical music and it all sounded so beautiful.
Our guests were blown away and so were we; she completely elevated the feel of our cocktail hour and set the tone for the evening. It was so classy and elegant to mingle with our guests with beautiful harp playing in the background. Chanah was absolutely perfect and her performance was easily my favorite detail of the day!
We hired Chanah to play the harp during our wedding ceremony and for a cocktail hour along with a violinist (Florina Georgia). Chanah was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was always responsive and easy to talk to during video calls. My wife and I even had a vision for some songs for our ceremony and Chanah was able to arrange a couple of custom pieces. Chanah was wonderful to work with! She was very easy to communicate with via email, messaging etc, and I definitely always felt that my needs were in good hands. My husband and I wanted a song from a video game as our recessional song during our ceremony, and Chanah was able to transcribe the entire song (there was not any sheet music already available)! It was exactly what we wanted and made our ceremony feel really special. I would recommend having Chanah play harp for your special day anytime.
Chanah is such an amazing musician. Plus, she's very friendly, very helpful, and very motivated to make your special day even more memorable. My wife and I asked her to play a Yann Tiersen song, "Penn Ar Lann," when our fathers walked us down the aisle for our wedding. She played a beautiful rendition of the song and made our walks really special. We asked her to play classical music from her repertoire during cocktail hour and requested specific contemporary songs from her repertoire for dinner. Hearing "Montero" by Lil Nas X on the harp was a highlight!

She also knew that we were unable to be present for her entire performance and was kind enough to record and send us her performance so that we can listen to it for years to come. Chanah was incredible!!! I wanted to walk down the aisle to Canon in D mixed with Love Story and she was able to arrange the perfect piece made just for me. Chanah played the harp at our wedding ceremony and we could not have been happier with our decision. What drew me to booking Chanah was how good she is at playing modern music on the harp and making it sound amazing!
From the beginning, she was easy to get a hold of and the booking process was flawless. She kept in touch throughout the year (we booked early) and reminded us when it was time to make our song choices. She keeps an extremely large collection of songs that she plays on the harp and makes it available to listen to online. She showed up perfectly on time to our wedding and our guests absolutely loved her music. We coordinated the songs and timing of songs and she executed it perfectly!

I remember spending hours looking for the perfect musician for our ceremony and cocktail hour before I stumbled upon Chanah's information and I am so happy that I did! Chanah went above and beyond to make our day special. She was a breeze to work with and aided us in our decision making process as we weren't entirely sure what we were looking for. At our first meeting she played numerous examples of music for us to choose from and was patient with us as we made our decisions. On the wedding day, she was there on time to get setup and she played absolutely beautifully - I couldn't image walking down the aisle to anything else. We received so many compliments from our guests about the music during the ceremony and cocktail hour and we have Chanah to thank for that! In addition to the wedding day, Chanah even sent us a wedding gift - recordings of the songs she played for us on our wedding day so now we'll have that to listen to whenever we want a reminisce about our day. It was clear from our experience with Chanah that she absolutely loves what she does and puts everything into the weddings that she plays for, I would recommend her to anyone looking for an extra special touch added to their day.

We hired Chanah for my sister in law’s bridal shower and I cannot say enough wonderful things! She made everything so easy for us and allowed us to help choose the songs she played, discuss the theme so she could have ideas of the atmosphere, and easily have add ons such as a microphone and sound system/amplifier for the harp and to use for speeches during the event. She was also able to just do her thing with minimal direction from us which made things super easy and stress free from a planning perspective! She played BEAUTIFULLY and brought such an elegant, special atmosphere to the shower. She even sent us recordings of the songs she played after the event! We got so many compliments on her talent. She was also super sweet and really nice to talk to and plan with. I would definitely recommend her!
Chanah was so professional and kind in the way she worked with me to make sure my daughter’s wedding ceremony was personal and elegant. From making sure she had attire and a mask to match the theme of the wedding to sharing audios of the performed songs, she went above and beyond to make the event special. I came to Chanah with a dream of walking down to the aisle to music from my favorite video game, Legend of Zelda. Not only was she excited and accommodating, she already had a few pieces from the game in her repertoire. She was an absolute joy to work with from the consultation to the day of my wedding! The day of my wedding there was some mild weather mishaps (get the tent she offers, play it safe!) and she teamed up with DJ and made it work and it was beautiful! The songs were perfect (she created a beautiful playlist of songs we picked and that fit the mood and aesthetic of the wedding) and she even sent over all the digital copies of all the songs she played at our wedding after the fact, which was such a welcome surprise! I can not recommend her talents enough!

Chanah was amazing at my wedding in April! I didn’t really know anything about harp music, but it added a very classic element to our wedding. Chanah played a mix of everything and the guests loved the Disney tunes! I would definitely recommend Chanah to anyone trying to create an “upscale” vibe.

Chanah is superb! She is first of all, an excellent harpist and very, very professional, but still fun to work with. She did a great job at my daughter's wedding in April 2018. Reasonably priced and she also will provide her own speaker for a minimal price (highly recommended unless your event is tiny). She has a wide repertoire ranging from classic to jazz to pop to showtunes. I'd definitely hire her again!

I told her this face to face (even in front of another vendor lol) that she was my favorite vendor. She was the first professional that I hired after securing my venue. Shawn and I just knew that we wanted the romantic and delicate sounds of the harp during our Spring wedding, and it was just as beautiful as I imagined it would be!
Chanah will hold your hand throughout the entire process. Not only is she a master of her art and a professional to the tee, but she is a friend. She genuinely wants to make your day special and unique. I highly recommend having your first meeting with her face-to-face just so you can hear the brilliance of the harp in person (and also, so you can hang out with her cats, who are so funny and fantastic! :D)

Chanah is a tremendous harpist and an beautiful person. Her smile lights up the room and her music is magical. She can play almost any genre and does so flawlessly. We loved working with her from our first meeting. I wish I had more weddings to plan. She would be part of every single one.
Chanah was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She responded to our emails quickly and efficiently. She was even able to translate our first dance song to the harp, so we were able to have our bridal party walk down to it! On top of all that, she sent us the MP3 of our requested song as well as a few photos she took herself! I cannot recommend enough!!

Chanah was wonderful to work with!! The harp was a lovely touch to our downtown Detroit wedding ceremony and cocktail hour! She was very easy to communicate with and made sure we were satisfied with our song choices prior to our event. She even learned a special song to make sure we were had exactly what we wanted!!

Chanah played at my wedding ceremony on June 4th at the Colony Club and she was absolutely amazing. She played beautifully and made the ceremony that much more special. I wish I heard more of her, but am so glad our guests got to enjoy her talent. We got many compliments on the music. She was also so easy to work with, responding quickly to any and all questions and has quite a large repertoire that includes a wide variety of genres . Highly recommended!
