Chancey's Event Center

I attended a wedding at this venue and while the wedding was beautiful let me tell you about the place: Lack of professionalism; poor customer service; unethical behavior; withholding security deposit due to a breach in contract without telling the bride/groom many weeks after the wedding; the place stunk like a backed-up sewer; the toilet in the bride's room backed up at one point during the event; a toilet in the ladies room was leaking all over the floor; staff dressed unprofessionally and helped themselves to the food provided for the guests; the staff went through bags in the bridal room where items were taken (don't care that what was taken shouldn't have been there - it was not theirs to take and they did not have permission to go through the closed bags); a camera and necklace went missing from the bride's room - the only time the room was unoccupied was during the wedding ceremony when all guests were attending the wedding and only the staff was inside the event center; guests were required to take garbage out to the dumpsters at the close of the event in a very dark parking lot (no lights - very unsafe -- not to mention the fact that the event center says they handle all clean-up -- this is not true); the bride and groom were unable to take advantage of the room that was included with the price of the venue due to the room smelling like a sewer - more money was spent to get them a hotel in town so they had a place to stay for their wedding night; the staff was still setting up when guests were arriving for the ceremony. If Chancy's had just returned the security deposit I wouldn't be posting this review. In my opinion, Chancy's owes the bride and groom money for false advertisement of their venue. Very unprofessional.

We booked a year in advance and had nothing but trouble with them. No response to emails or calls and when they finally called back, they were very rude. They did not finish what they said would be done by our wedding day so a lot of our wedding pictures have people working in the background as well as a bulldozer. They never booked our room for the night, even though we had an email for confirmation. Very beautiful place. We loved being out there but the people who manage the building were not friendly and really made the day stressful with saying they lost our deposit, our room, etc. We didn't even get our deposit back because they said that we were out too late even though the hall was perfectly clean by 11:00 pm Would not recommend them for any bride who doesn't want to be stressed out on the most important day of her life!

The wedding was beautiful and the owners were always available and helpful. Little things were troublesome though, she told us the tables would be set and ready at 8 am so we would have plenty of time, this was not the case.... we didn't get things ready to decorate until 11! Also, they make you rent EVERYTHING! In the middle of August, my aunt was helping to set up and really needed some water. They charged her to rent a glass to drink tap water from... They continually promise that certain things will be installed (we booked a year in advance and were told that the Water would be potable, the air conditioners would be installed, the parking lot would be paved, and the area would be lit... none of this happened....) I enjoyed their venue very much and the pictures turn out great, but be SURE to ask them everything and get it in writing!!!

Toy and her staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful and answered any questions we had. They also supplied recommendations for other vendors like a bar, catering, flowers, and DJ. I would highly recommend them to anyone that asked!

This is a beautiful place for wedding and reception. The owners are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Highly recommend :)

Chancey's Event Center is a great wedding venue. I received so many complements the night of my wedding on how beautiful the site was. The owners are also very nice and helpful. They were always there when I had a question and didn't mind me coming out and looking at the site several times during the planning process. I highly suggest having your wedding at Chancey's!
