booking up quick. We saw a few venues that just didn't wow us, then we walked in the Channel Club and we both knew this was it! And the price was better than even a hotel venue with basically no view, for this amazing open floor plan with an outdoor deck and incredible view, we were sold! We booked in late May 2016 and got married on June 17, 2017. The planning process was seamless with Fred, and we felt well taken care of from day one. I was at no point stressed about the venue during our process. If we had a question we called Fred and he was extremely responsive. When we visited to choose our a few weeks before, we saw the renovations and it blew us away. They completely gutted and made a new bridal suite, and re-did the reception room was well. When our weekend came, I was able to go the day before and set everything up with Fred's help. I even brought in our place cards which were inside little knots and kept falling out, and Joanne who works with Fred set these up for me in the sandbox they provide for place cards, and they even added navy and white ribbon, it looked fabulous! The day of our wedding it rained, we did get pictures outside before it did but unfortunately we didn't get to utilize the dock for our cocktail hour, but we had almost 200 guests, but everyone fit inside the downstairs for cocktail hour without a problem. We loved how open the floor plan was for cocktail hour. Our guests LOVED the food as we knew they would.. there was SO much and it was all delicious. When we headed upstairs, everyone was blown away with how nice the bridal suite looked. Fred was very accommodating during the wedding, as we knew he would be. He made sure we had a drink in our hand at all times. Our guests truly had the BEST time, and couldn't stop raving about the food. They also loved how they came around with left overs after dinner! Needless to say we had a pretty much seamless experience at the Channel Club, and months later our family & friends are still raving. If you're looking to get married at the shore area, I'd recommended nowhere else! thanks Fred and Team, Chris and I will have amazing memories of our wedding to last a lifetime!

reception the day prior and didn't have to think about it after that. Fred was great through the entire process and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. He worked so well with all of our vendors and calmly/quickly solved any day-of hiccups as they arose. We had our ceremony outdoors on the dock followed by an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour and ballroom reception. The food and service were excellent. We will definitely be returning to host future events at The Channel Club!

When you are planning a wedding, everything can tend to get very stressful and there can be a lot on your to do list. Well, Fred was like my best friend for the last two months of my wedding. LOL! He was so helpful and amazing I can't even begin to explain it. Anything that you could possibly think of, or forget to think of, Fred will be there to help you do it! On the day of my wedding he was attentive, wonderful and he felt like a member of my family. I highly highly recommend the Channel Club for your special day! The food was phenomenal and the service was excellent. Thank you Fred and Steve! We will never forget you!

to accept all of our trinkets and incorporate them into their venue. I couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. Steve was on the floor all night guiding us through the wedding activities. Fred was on the floor and behind the scenes making sure everything was in place. We even caught him on the phone calling our photobooth agency when he thought they were running late. Fred and Steve settle for nothing less than excellence, and our wedding was perfect because of them.

Steve and Fred exceeded our expectations in regards to the planning and execution of our wedding. During such a stressful process, as we all know wedding planning can be, these true professionals made everything so easy and enjoyable! I cannot thank them enough for their kindness, patience, positive energy, organization, and attention to detail. They made sure everything about that evening went according to plan and without a hitch. Even when it rained outside and we had to have the ceremony inside, everything was able to transition seamlessly and it was beautiful! The view over the marina is truly breathtaking. I have been to a lot of weddings recently in the tri-state area, and let me tell you – the food doesn’t compare to the Channel Club. Not only was it absolutely delicious and of the best quality, but the selection was enormous. All of our guests still continue to compliment and rave about the wedding, especially the attentive staff and the food! My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect day, and we are so appreciative to the Channel Club staff for giving us these wonderful memories we will hold onto forever. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a wedding venue to choose the Channel Club…you will not regret it!

Probably the best entrees in the business, so the complimentary second helpings are a great bonus! As the weather the day of our wedding unfolded it was a close call as to whether or not the ceremony would be outside and the entire staff was flexible and ready for any outcome (we had ours outside and it was great!). o guys where rock solid! We had a lot to contend with the week leading up to our wedding and the day of our wedding -- none of it had to do with them, yet they stepped up to help every time! My wife is from Sicily - if you know anything about Italians, food is essential for any gathering - ESPECIALLY on the bride's special day --- the food was fabulous!!! teve and the rest of The Channel Club made our day beyond exceptional. Even though it rained, the indoor ceremony was just as beautiful with all of the big windows overlooking the marina. Fred told us if it stopped raining even for 15 minutes we would run outside and have the ceremony outside. Steve handled our wedding plans from start to finish which is hard to find. It was so nice knowing that the people who I had worked with from day one and who knew how we wanted our wedding to go, were there to make sure everything went as planned. Any time we needed to be pulled away for a minute to take pictures or for the cake cutting, etc, they were very unobtrusive which was nice when you are in the middle of greeting all of your guests. The food was phenomenal as well, we still have friends and family texting and calling saying they can't stop dreaming about all the food that was there. They even had an ice sculpture of the Eiffel Tower since that is where we got engaged. What we got for our money was amazing. Just the cocktail hour itself was enough to please our guests! There is so much room throughout as well and the whole place is yours for the day! This is the place to get married if you love the water and views but you don't want to be broke after! Many many thanks to Fred and Steve and everyone else at The Channel Club! You made our day spectacular and it was everything and more than we could have ever asked for!!!

Cocktail hour could be an entire meal, but don't fill up because the dinner options are spectacular as well. It was great to know that they would do a great job for our day, but we have heard from so many guests after our wedding about what a great place it was, how nice and accommodating the staff was, and how no detail was left to chance. My husband and I were constantly attended to with food, drinks, or what to do next. I cannot thank Channel Club enough for making my wedding so perfect. I would recommend them to anyone!

e way up to the big day August 1st, Steve and Fred were absolutely incredible. They answered every question and concern immediately via email or phone. They were so easy to work with, making any adjustments or changes to the day on the fly was such a seamless process. The view off the dock with the boats, the sunset, beautiful flowers, the setting outside for our ceremony could not have been more breathtaking. Steve was in charge of our wedding, and he could not have been more professional, on top of every little detail, and simply a calming influence on such a busy day. He was always around keeping the day running on time and smoothly. The rest of the staff were outstanding, getting the venue ready for us, keeping the food rolling out at a continuous and rapid pace, and being so nice and professional to our guests. Speaking of the food, it was OUTSTANDING! The amount of compliments we received from our guests about the food was overwhelming. The amount of food and simply the quality was above and beyond. We could not have pictured a better outcome for the best day of our lives. Thanks to Steve, Fred and their staff, we had the time of our lives. To everyone at the Channel Club, especially Steve, we cannot thank you enough!! We love you guys and consider you a life long friends after all the hard work you put in for us!!

od was amazing and they were willing to make the menu exactly what we wanted. They weren't afraid to change their set menu for the unique taste we were looking for. The ceremony went off without a hitch even though it was raining until 1 hr before I walked down the isle. Even 2 weeks after our wedding or friends keep telling us how much fun they had and how the venue did an amazing job. I would recommend the channel club to anyone looking for an easy going venue that has quality and value.

through there are always boats in the background. It wasn't as beautiful as the pictures portrayed. I could be beautiful in the boats aren't there... A little disappointing.

the spring of 2013, to be married in Sept of 2014. We would have a newly renovated facility, at a gorgeous marina, all within our budget! Fred&Liz told us that they would both be there for everything, ready to answer our questions - talking to one of them would be like talking to the other. Then, the unthinkable happened. About a week before Christmas of 2013 I got a call from someone I never worked with that TCC wouldn't be having the promised renovations. There I was, less than a year before my wedding, with a band and photographer booked, and no venue. We were crushed - we thought we did it right, taking our time booking more than a year out, and we had the rug pulled out from under us when, w/o any remorse, TCC said they weren't renovating and that was that. The next day after many phone calls Fred finally called me back. I expressed my financial concerns - we budgeted our wedding around TCC price which we booked 8 months earlier, I was worried about how we would be able to afford it now. We got our deposit back, but Fred told me he understood my concerns, and said I should e-mail him a detailed outline of all my increased costs of my rebooked wedding (we were married in Morristown, NJ b/c all the Monmouth/Ocean County venues I called were flooded with calls from "Channel Club Brides" looking to rebook venues in the aftermath of this horrible situation). We e-mailed Fred a detailed outline of increased costs in Aug 2014 and I have still received NOTHING from TCC. On average, I had to call TCC 5-7 times before Fred would call me back (sometimes Liz would answer but she would insist she couldn't help me or answer my questions - funny since when I booked they were one in the same). Often times I would end up talking to Steve (who is the only person with a heart at TCC and I don't know how he stomachs the people he works with) who would tell me that Fred was in fact getting all of my messages. On the off chance Fred answered he would say "I've talked to the owners and what they've offered isn't good enough, I will keep trying", then a month would pass, I'd call another 5-7 times before I would connect with Fred & I'd hear the same nonsense all over again. During our last conversation in mid Dec of 2014 (after unreturned phone calls and lies from Fred from Aug - Dec), Fred told me I was the last canceled bride to not receive any compensation due to my "outrageous requests". I reminded him it was at HIS direction that I sent over the totality of my increased costs which he said he would "work out". I told him he had until Jan 1 to sort this out or I would go public with my story. Weddings are an emotional experience to begin with, and I am disgusted at Fred, Liz and the entire Channel Club for their blatant disregard of human feelings in the way they took advantage of people. After after being strung along for MONTHS by Fred, to be the "last bride uncompensated" is inexcusable. They are people without conscience and I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. *RESPONSE TO TCC-You couldn't accommodate my wedding numbers w/o renovating so I was FORCED to change my venue. Dragging me along for MONTHS w/ unreturned phone calls & unfulfilled promises - how do you justify this? Fred should have told me there was nothing he could do instead of stringing me along.

the wedding. If for some reason we couldn't reach them, they always got back to us as soon as possible. During the wedding the staff worked very hard to ensure that we were taken care of, and that our guests were being attended to at all times. We had two opportunities to try the food prior to the wedding (a bridal show, and a private food tasting), and were pleased with everything we tried. The food ended up being better than we expected! Once people began to finish their meals, the wait staff came around to offer a second portion if desired. The second portion did not necessarily have to be the same as the meal you initially ordered, so it allowed our guests to try a little of everything. The hall itself was beautiful. They did such a good job renovating after Hurricane Sandy, that you would never know there was any damage. To top it all off, we had beautiful weather and were able to take a sunset picture in the marina next to the building. Our wedding day was perfect thanks in part to the efforts of the Channel Club.

games. First off we were told that TCC was going to be redone and the plans we were shown looked amazing. Plus we would be getting the old pricing which would have been an amazing deal. We were worried however that the renovations would not be done in time for our wedding. The manager assured us everything would be great--a real sales guy. We wanted to think about it overnight and Frank said there was no problem, to let him know in the morning. When we decided to book the very next day we had trouble reaching Frank and played phone tag a few times but over voicemail he assured us the date was ours and not to worry. A few hours later when I finally got in touch with him to leave the deposit he had informed me there was an "accidental" double booking and he could no longer book us. To me, this sounded like nonsense. As there is only one other girl that could apparently book weddings and we were there less than 24 hours before, to us it sounded like a bigger wedding had contacted him and he saw more $$ with them. And if he was telling the truth...how ridiculous and unprofessional that two people can't keep track of their bookings?! This all happened last August and now I see there has not been one thing done to renovate the place. What a horror it would have been if we booked and DID have our wedding there. Though at the time I was so upset I am now so, SO happy it did not work out at the Channel Club bc where we ended up having our wedding was absolutely perfect, much more beautiful, and loads more professional. (The Sunset Ballroom at Jack Baker's). Though we got lucky in the end that this venue did not work out for us, I wanted to let people know to be wary of what this place tells you. They made us feel as though they only care about making money and not the happiness of their clients. It was an awful and very unprofessional experience.

They worked with us when some of our guests dropped out at the last minute and were able to make some deals so that it was cost effective. For an area that was devastated by Sandy, and wedding venues on the water, we could not have been happier!! I wish we had another event coming up so that we could use them!

In addition, the views at the venue are spectacular and the food is outstanding. All of our guests are still commenting on how good the food was (and how much there was too!). The food was amazing, and there are so many options to choose from. On another note, I'm not sure why they are shown as $$$$, because after looking at several venues in the area, the Channel Club was definitely extremely reasonable when it came to price. The prices also included everything - so many cocktail hour options, cake, ice sculpture, chair covers, etc. These are things that most of the other venues charged extra for. Also, there IS an outdoor ceremony area, and the venue IS on the water. My advice - stop your search right now and check out the Channel Club.
