ng endlessly for something that felt unique and wasn’t prohibitively priced. Nothing seemed to inspire us — the same plug-and-chug blank slate, bring-your-own-decorations, sometimes even bring-your-own-everything kept popping up for us in the DC/MD/VA search. Until my husband happened upon Chanteclaire. We looked at their website.
Transparent pricing! On the website! Omg. After sending out countless requests for quotes and receiving convoluted replies often containing astronomical prices, it was a breath of fresh air. That, photos of “The Salon” (where cocktail hour takes place), and their bonfire afterparty offering (keep the party going til 1:30am!) were enough to compel us to take a tour. As soon as we saw the venue in person, we knew it was ours.
Not only does Chanteclaire offer transparent pricing, but much of it is all-inclusive. Here are all the things I did not have to obtain and pack up in my car for wedding weekend: napkins, table cloths, center pieces, table numbers, tables, chairs, card box, welcome sign, signature drink pitchers, food, cake, the list goes on. The venue handles EVERYTHING. But you still get to customize it all to your very liking.
In the months leading up to the wedding, there were easy tasks that we were able to handle asynchronously via a portal, and then more detailed items would take place collaboratively over Zoom with the owner of the venue and coordinator, Leigh Clarke. In addition to being an absolutely wonderful human, I have to emphasize how much she knows her sh*t. Weddings ARE inherently stressful. There’s no denying this. Thankfully, Leigh is a master at planning and executing them, so you can and should count on her throughout the whole process to ensure your big day is uniquely yours and magical.
Magical is truly the only way to describe our wedding day. The vibes were UNBELIEVABLE. The flawless execution from Leigh and her team throughout the event gave everyone so much space to just feel and enjoy the day. We didn’t have a photobooth, lawn games, or any additional entertainment and none of that mattered. The ceremony site was beautiful, and the flowers from Farmhouse Fête were PERFECT. Danielle was wonderful to work with and really nailed the vision! At some point during our vows, the frogs all started singing and I felt like Snow White. Our guests were overcome with tears of joy throughout the entire day. Seriously, we all cried and laughed so much. While I do recommend having wonderful guests, I truly believe this was because of the magic that Chanteclaire created with their meticulous planning and thoughtful execution.
I could go on and on but the headline is this: if you are overwhelmed with the idea of planning a wedding and want to feel supported, or are looking for a unique and beautiful place to celebrate the most important day of your life, at least have a conversation with Leigh and/or visit the venue. I admit that I was nervous that I was forgetting things or missing something in the weeks leading up to the wedding, but of course, Leigh and Ophie had everything under control and we truly were able to just show up and enjoy. Hands down, bar none, best day of my life.

Planning our wedding with Leigh (the owner) was a FANTSTIC experience. She is so knowledgeable, and she makes everything so easy! To start, she helped me pick out our color scheme and guided me on how to select colors for everything else from there. She always had prompt answers to any emails/texts I sent. She was also amazing to lean on for planning and for emotional support when things (inevitably) started to go wrong with vendors outside of her venue the week of the wedding. I am eternally grateful to Leigh <3
The day of the wedding itself went so smoothly! I was so impressed. The staff are incredibly kind and fantastic to work with! Chanteclaire includes so many vendors that you would otherwise have to book yourself (e.g., DJ, catering, decor, cake, and setting you up with a florist). They also do all of the set up/clean up for decor and give you all the leftovers to have an amazing brunch at the Farmhouse the morning after your wedding!
The afterparty at the bonfire is also incredible! All of our guests loved it, and she has wonderful recommendations for transportation vendors so guests don't have to drive if they don't want to!
Simply put, we had the wedding of our dreams and a majority of that is because of Chanteclaire!

I have worked in the wedding industry so I was certain that my search to find a micro-destination venue (meaning most of our guests could drive/travel within a couple hours of home), that is also all-inclusive, plus a venue we could stay on the grounds the entire weekend, would be pretty much impossible to find. I mean, venues like this simply don't exist in my head. We toured close to 6 venues around Maryland and most of them checked many boxes on our wish-list, but CF was truly the one and only one that checked ALL of our boxes and then some.
If you are worried about letting the venue hold the responsibility of almost ALL of your vendors (rehearsal dinner, catering, cake, florals, DJ, furniture, linens, service staff, bartenders, day-of coordination, overnight accommodations for up to 20 people, after-party, etc.) let your worries GO and trust that CF has it all under control. And not only do they take care of EVERYTHING during your whole weekend stay, they do it with such ease, precision, attention to detail, and they sure make the bride, groom and their families can truly relax and spend quality time together during such an important weekend. How amazing is it that once you arrive to the farm for the weekend, you don't have to leave ever if you don't want to: the farmhouse and cabin are just steps away from the ceremony space and reception venue. The after-party bonfire is also just steps from where you will blissfully lay your head after an incredible wedding after filling your already-full belly with late-night snacks like homemade warm pizza rolls, soft pretzels and campfire smores. I cannot say enough about the owner Leigh and her amazing and talented team - she is SO thorough and meticulous about ensuring your wedding details come to life and that the day-of timeline runs efficiently and smoothly, and it's because she cares SO much about ensuring you are happy with every decision of the whole weekend. Not once during the whole weekend did we feel confused or left-out of any details that are important in making your wedding day run smoothly. I am a type-A person who wanted control of details like our music playlists - from the moment guests arrived, to cocktail hour music, dance floor music, etc. and Leigh and the DJ team let me have full-reign and there were NO issues at all the entire day. The FOOD - oh my gosh, you cannot go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu (the tasting event is an absolute must-attend event). We had SO many people come up to us saying it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We also asked Leigh if we could do a pie bar for dessert rather than cake - and the pies were simply to die for. Every single request to make the little details that mattered to us about our wedding day count, were honored and celebrated by Leigh and her team. I could go on and on about Chanteclaire Farm and all of its beauty and amazingness (the cocktail hour parlor lounge and the silo bar themselves are simply show-stoppers. I will end this review by saying - TRUST everything that Leigh and her Chanteclaire Farm team members can do for your big day, or wedding weekend rather - and you will have the most relaxing and the most beautiful, incredible wedding weekend. BOOK your wedding weekend at CF and you WILL not regret it!!

We loved our wedding experience at Chanteclaire, especially during the pandemic, but did not realize just how much this very capable and experienced team did to make the wedding day so perfect. The team at Chanteclaire goes above and beyond to make sure you are able to envision your perfect day through your time planning together, your tasting, and at the rehearsal the night before. There was absolutely no stress (besides COVID) while planning. Through what was supposed to be stressful, Leigh and Haleigh made every minute fun. Two years later, we just planned my sister's wedding and that is when we realized just all that Leigh and Haleigh did to make the wedding at Chanteclaire so perfect! Their recommendations based on their vast experience contribute to a flawless wedding day/week-end. They are kind and thoughtful and so very helpful! I also have to shoutout the most incredible kitchen team. They did a wonderful job preparing our AMAZING food, helping with dietary restrictions, and providing us the BEST wedding cake we have ever eaten. To end our wonderful day, we were able to host an after party bon-fire with snacks and drinks, and stay on the property in a large house and cabin. The memories that we have from our amazing day will truly last forever. I can't thank the Chanteclaire team enough for everything they did to make our day perfect. I highly recommend Chanteclaire!

The farm is obviously in the country, so it is charming, peaceful, and very quiet, until you begin rocking it on the dance floor that is! =) Couples have access to a cute bridal suite across the pond, which makes for the perfect little hideaway to relax or get ready in. You will fall in love with the outdoor ceremony site next to the large pond and big red barn. Of course, the barn itself is absolutely STUNNING and is one of the main features here. Once inside, you will be awestruck by the woodwork, open beams, lighting, and decor that will be the backdrop for your reception. There is a large area in the downstairs section of the barn, where you can enjoy the cocktail hour before moving to the spacious main floor for your reception. There is also a large deck that overlooks the pond and is a great spot for your guests to socialize and take in some fresh air. One little secret here…don’t be fooled by the silo, it houses a full bar and is a BIG HIT with everyone! The design is first class! The food here is top notch, and the staff is absolutely AMAZING. This venue is what it is today thanks to the hard work and dedication of Leigh Clarke and her staff. They are professional, friendly, fun to work with, and will go ABOVE AND BEYOND to serve your every need. I know they will take great care of you! e wanted a fall wedding, and one with a rustic, barn atmosphere, and luckily, we found Chanteclaire. Within minutes of stepping on site, we were sold. Leigh (the owner) and her entire staff (especially the coordinator April) were so wonderful and helpful in all aspects of planning. My husband and I attended TWO tastings before our big day, something I recommend to other couples. The first one we went alone, just the two of us, and were able to make all our decisions together, without family in our ears. The second time around we brought our families so it became more of a show and tell as opposed to a stress inducing time. I will warn you, Leigh is very opinionated about the way weddings should be run (and with good reason!) so if you have trouble with that I would be prepared to stand your ground. All aspects of planning were smooth and simple though, and really did not leave me much to do. The staff at Chanteclaire had a very well put together list of outside vendors so that couples coming in (and planning) from out of town have somewhere to start. Everything was seamless and perfect. Decorations were dropped off the day before, so that I spent literally 0 time setting up or breaking down the wedding. There were minor issues throughout the day (as to be expected) but almost none of them were brought to my attention which allowed me to be present with my guests and enjoy the wedding. I will say, one negative thing about my experience was being approached during the reception by an assistant to the owner to inform me that me and my guests staying in the (mandatory) on site facilities had to leave earlier than was stated in the contract due to a tasting the next day. That should have been dealt with much earlier than an hour into my wedding, and should have come from someone higher up (like the coordinator or the owner). Regardless, my wedding will be something I will remember for the rest of my life. The experience could not have been better and I would highly recommend this venue to those looking for something breathtaking and unique.

It rained on and off all day of our wedding, but there was a brief clearing around the ceremony time so the team made sure chairs were wiped down and we made it work outside! They also work closely with other local vendors to help make sure long distance arrangements are easy. Everything was beautiful, fun and organized.

that only one or two weddings a year are put on the upper deck due to weather, and although i hoped and prayed I was not one of those weddings, the day of my wedding it literally poured. My wedding ceremony was on the upper deck under cover and i can honestly say it was my favorite part of the whole day. In such a beautiful setting, my ceremony was so personal and I felt so loved walking on to the deck with all my guest so close and intimate. The only comment i keep hearing from my guests, "that was the most beautiful wedding I have ever been too and the rain made it so much better!"
Chanteclaire is hands down the best venue in the wedding world. I am not a very hands on person and am too laid back to look at all the details, but Leigh and Caroline knew exactly what I loved and made it ten times better in person than it ever was in my head. Every staff member was so personable and so sweet, i literally felt like i gained like 10 new friends with the staff of the event! Also a huge shout out to the Dj's.. they were AMAZING!!! As a self proclamation, "dancing queen" I literally never left the dance floor, and every single one of my guest were up on the dance floor! Also Wally, (one of the DJ's) , my personal lifesaver! At that point in the night when you turn and need someone to just be there to just say "we got this", Wally was the man! He made sure all my family got back to the house at the end of the night, made sure all my guest got on the shuttle, and just answered any question I had!
The food was AMAZING! The cake was AMAZING! the salad bar...AMAZIINGGGG!! I will stop but just please know the food at Chanteclaire is not your typical wedding food, it is definitely cooked with love and was loved by every single one of my guest!
I could go on and on, but for a girl that never dreamed of what her wedding would be when she got married... Chanteclaire Farm would have blown them all away. It was the best night of our life!

re significant. As parents of the bride, did my wife and I have concerns about a barn wedding in a fairly remote area? Oh Yes! How did it turn out? Great!!
Start the thinking with people. Leigh (Chaneclaire owner) has a well thought out approach to business. Ask her a question about any aspect of the event and she has it well thought out. We had concerns about how hot the top level of the barn might be (August wedding date), wondered about the Chanteclaire staff given the seasonality of the business and concerns about dietary restrictions about a number of guests. Not an issue. Leigh handled all wonderfully.
Now move over to the planning process at Chanteclaire. Yes, we had concerns about planning a wedding away from our home city and in a barn venue. The business arrangement with Leigh includes everything other than photography, flowers, alcohol and transportation (to/from hotels). Leigh has a number of choices of well vetted service providers whom you can talk to and make your own selection. Unlike many other “barn venues” where you have to find most or all service providers, the goods and services are easy to arrange. We found all providers flexible and very nice to do business with. They really just want to make your big day fun and memorable. One word of caution, if you are a Big City dweller), get used to receiving responses a bit slower than what you are used to (Leigh will tell you this). Do not worry as it all comes together wonderfully.
So one more business item (no, I am not an attorney). Running a business for years taught me about “liability”. Keep in mind; you purchase the alcohol. Purchase a “special event policy” (Leigh will tell you this as well). Cost is a few hundred dollars. Do not kid yourself about the liability.

ked at a few similar venues, but I would have to plan everything. I didn't want to plan decorations or choose a caterer. And I didn't want to be chasing birds out of the barn rafters!
Chanteclaire...WOW! From decorating, catering, timing, etc, the staff at Chanteclaire does it all. The barn is so beautifully decorated that I barely did anything (which is exactly what I wanted). But if you want to decorate, they have decorations from previous weddings you're welcome to use.
The food is delicious and the variety is amazing. Cake, cookies, pie, donuts. I was a gluten free bride and they were very accommodating. Gluten free cake, yum! After years of hosting awesome weddings, they have timing down to a science. They kept our day moving smoothly. The staff is just amazing.
This was a destination wedding for us. I've been to Deep Creek dozens of times, but we didn't know any vendors in the area. They were able to provide me with a list of people they work with and trust, so I didn't even have to think about finding other vendors.
My guests were blown away. I had so many compliments and people had a BLAST. I've never seen so many people on the dance floor at a wedding, and I'm still getting compliments a few months later.
I love Chanteclaire. I would recommend them to anyone.

m start to finish. Everyone we dealt with was extremely professional and upfront. As far as the venue goes, it was everything that we could have asked for. Classy, elegant, rustic, romantic. It is everything. At Chanteclaire, they do weddings, and they do them right. Follow Leigh's lead and you will have a completely stress free day. It has been 3months since our special day and we are still hearing from all our guests how it was the "Wedding of the Year" and how everyone had too much fun. Most of our family drove in from New England or Philadelphia and wished they could have stayed on the farm for weeks! r and knew how to handle anything you threw at her, such as mud on my dress, misplacing my bouquet, and weather changes, quickly and calmly. I'm a worrier, and her demeanor gave me the feeling that there was nothing that could ever ruin the wedding day.
Even when the weather turned chilly and rainy right before the ceremony, Leigh and her team were still able to get our ceremony off without a hitch outside before the rain showers started. Guests were kept happy despite the abnormally cold temperatures with the help of outdoor heaters and smooth transitions from bus to ceremony to cocktail hour.
Leigh and her team were able to give helpful opinions on the ceremony and reception when requested and made every idea Matt and I had for the wedding, such as popcorn before the ceremony, work out perfectly. Leigh and the DJ's were not even phased when Matt and I decided to switch around the bridal processional music at the last minute.
The DJ's were also amazing and had great timing with transitions and song changes. They stuck to the songs we liked and knew when to play them in order to keep all the guests dancing until the last song. Everyone from Chanteclaire involved in our wedding day were more than just vendors by the end of this experience. They were friends and welcomed guests at our wedding.

I was able to sit back and enjoy my wedding (and I feel like the planning was fun and not stressful) because Leigh and Ann and Carla had it all taken care of from day 1. I used Amy from farmhouse fete for my flowers, centerpieces and decor around where we had our ceremony and it was amazing; it was like she read my mind and knew exactly what I wanted. We used higher focus for photos and they also did an amazing job that exceeded my expectations; they knew the venue and the flow of the ceremony and reception and the grounds and they took amazing pictures and a beautiful video from our wedding. The DJ they work with did a great job of organizing and reading the crowd for music choices, everyone was on the dance floor and smiling. Don't even get me started on the food, really, really, really good- I saw some guests running for seconds, I don't think there was anything leftover! I don't know how they cook for so many people and how it is all so delicious. The staff is truely passionate about what they do and it shows- so many smiles at the bar, at the buffet and all around. My guests still tell me what a great time they had and the #1 question is "how did you find this place?" It truely is an amazing venue and given the chance to do it all over again, there is not one thing I would change.

The great thing about this place is that everything is included: ceremony, reception, food, cake, DJ, and housing for up to 12 members of family or bridal party. It rained on my wedding day and the DJs are so good at watching the radar we ended up having our dream outside wedding between rain. The DJs are from sounds fun entertainment and they are the greatest. Our guests were barely in their seats, they played great music and kept the party going! Even though I didn't have much time to eat the food was delicious and we ate leftovers for days. Overall, I wouldn't change anything about Chanteclaire, they keep you organized with all the timelines and things leading up to the wedding day and take great care of you!

Saturday wedding meant we were able to have the venue from Friday morning until Sunday morning, and that made all the world of a difference for stress levels! We were able to have everything set up Friday morning and then were able to really soak in the experience for the remainder of the weekend. We also took advantage of renting the farmhouse and cabin all weekend for on-site accommodations for the bridal party, which was 100% convenient. Leigh Clarke is the owner and mastermind to this magic, and collectively, she has a very strong, professional team of people around her to make your wedding dreams come true. They are all very, very kind, accommodating, and think out EVERY detail of the day - I saw one lady with a measuring tape setting up the ceremony chairs ensuring they were perfectly spaced! Notably, the ceremony sight is on a natural amphitheater looking onto a pretty pond, and there is peace of mind knowing there is a Plan B in case of inclement weather. There is also a lot of flexibility and opportunity for you to contribute as many or as little decoration as you want, and they have a nice-size storage closet for you to access if you wish to use items that previous brides left behind (i.e., chalkboards, easels, table number holders, etc.). Moreover, Chanteclaire is located in a beautiful area that has vacation vibes, so we were literally astounded by the number of guests that traveled 3+ hours for us and turned it into a long weekend getaway. Importantly, not only did I feel like a million bucks on my wedding day, but I can't emphasize enough how special the GUESTS felt throughout the evening at the reception. They tell you (the bride) to not worry about whether your guests are having a good time, that it's your day, BUT let's get real, you still worry, and I can say with great confidence that my guests had a blast. Here are a few reasons why: Guests are welcomed to the venue with refreshments from their travels. After the ceremony, they are welcomed into the cool, adorable basement of the barn for cocktail hour and appetizers (Get the artisan cheeses!). After cocktail hour, the DJ directs everyone upstairs, where your guests see the inside of the venue for the first time because they keep the barn doors closed (nice touch)! The food is to die for! From the quaint canoe salad bar to the mouthwatering entrees and decadent cake, it will be the best "wedding food" you've ever eaten! Then, they open up the World Famous Silo Bar for guests to treat themselves to drinks. The DJ they have on site will ensure you have "dance floor stories" to tell the next day! We also opted to do the bonfire with s'mores at the end of the night (optional), which was a nice segue into "goodbyes." In its entirety, the night just kept unfolding, for everyone! There is so much depth to the quality of the experience they provide here, and they do it with passion because they love what they do. If you're still reading, I highly recommend Chanteclaire Farm. Your feet won't touch the ground for days because they will elevate your experience to new heights.

elt at home. My family stayed on the grounds at the beautiful farmhouse which was so worth it. The staff at Chanteclaire are the most wonderful people who did everything they could to make our experience wonderful - by the end of the wedding weekend I felt like we had made new friends. The food was absolutely delicious - I have gotten so many compliments on the perfectly cooked steak and the cake was best cake I've ever had in my life. The perfect day ended with an awesome bonfire with all of our guests which just set everything over the top. Everyone has told us how absolutely perfect everything was and we owe that to Carla, Leigh, Ann and all of the other wonderful people at Chanteclaire that made our day so special.

The owner was the only person I ever dealt with and on the eve of my wedding she deserted me and left me with and employee who invited others to come take over my venue while I was trying to set up, the woman was extremely rude to me, my groom, and our families. Also, our cake did not look the best.. it tasted amazing but I could've done a better job decorating. Also would NOT recommend the optional bonfire.. fun time but not worth the extra money.
