When I first came by Chantilly Lace to try on dresses I had a style in mind but the dresses I pulled didn't make me feel great. Brenna pulled a few options that were more structure...
d and they were so much more flattering on my body. All of the ladies who worked here were so sweet and complimentary. I never felt rushed into making my decision. They did a great job on the alterations and made everything felt easy on my end.
I found the dress of my dreams here for a great price. Their seamstress did great work for a lower cost than I expected. They were also very patient with a last minute scheduling...
change I had to make at one point. If you want to shop local and receive great service, check out Chantilly Lace.
Chantilly Lace had a great selection of gowns. They were super helpful and helped me find my perfect dress!!!
I loved picking out my gown here! The owner helped us and she was so gracious. The gowns are beautiful and if you happen to be there on the same day as the owner, she will help you...
perfect the dress of your dreams.
After trying on lots of dresses at a lot of other places, I ended up going right across the street to Chantilly Lace. I found my dream dress and was so happy. The dress was gorgeou...
s and they had lots of options. I eventually bought my veil and head pieces from them. I loved working with them however, I would recommend ordering your pieces well ahead of time. They actually ordered me the wrong piece and I didn't get it for the wedding. I got the veil but very late, and wasn't able to use it for my bridal portraits. They worked with me to try to get everything to me, including willingly offering overnight shipping etc. I ended up getting the veil and the headpiece on the day of but only got one headpiece (since they had ordered the wrong thing). They refunded me for both headpieces and overall were very nice to work with. The store associates and employees are genuinely delightful and great. However, if you have to speak to the owner - I hope that you don't have to do it at a time that is stressful or if you are upset with the store because she was terrible to speak with. I was never a stressed out Bride or Bridezilla, I never yelled at them or was upset. I kept my composure and yet the owner basically screamed through the phone and was very high strung. She was extremely stressful and I don't want to work with her ever again.
Over all, I would definitely recommend Chantilly Lace - they have good customer service, their dresses and accessories are beautiful, they have extremely affordable tailoring (only cost me around $20 to alter my wedding dress which is basically unheard of), their associates are very friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Just order ahead of time, and hopefully you don't have to interact with the owner. They are a great local business, which I was happy to support!
I found the dress of my dreams and the mother of the bride found her dress also!! It was perfect and meant to be!!
I found the perfect dress at my first stop. The girls were very helpful and knowledgeable. They made my dress perfect and I even got a veil and headband from there as well!

ld not have been more perfect! The staff is so great to work with and always accommodated to my needs. My dress was so beautiful!
When I originally went and picked out my dress, the sales associate was super helpful, caring, and considerate. When I had to go back for my fittings the seamstress was one of the ...
rudest people I have ever met. She was over 30 minutes late both times for my fittings. While she was working with me she spent max 5 minutes and never cared about any of my questions or concerns. They were suppose to order me a special corset for my dress which they never did and didn't seem to care. When my mother went to pick up the dress they tried giving her the wrong one. I would suggest going to a larger store where they have the capacity to treat their customers with some respect.
I bought my dress at another boutique back home in Richmond, but I live in town so I wanted to get my dress altered close by. Chantilly Lace graciously took my beautiful Maggie Sot...
tero dress on and said they would alter my dress and charge a small fee for being an outside client. The staff at Chantilly Lace are very friendly, but its a small group of girls and the shop gets very busy. Almost all the times I was there, they seemed overwhelmed. The seamstress/owner was always late and always in a hurry. The first appt went well, but during my second fitting they called and canceled it the day before and I had family coming town so we had to quickly reschedule! During my third/final fitting The seamstress was 45 minutes late and she didn't even look at my dress, she just kept talking to other clients that came in after us. So luckily my matron of honor was there and she went over the dress and asked questions about loose threads etc. I don't know if its because my dress was an outside dress but I felt like my business didn't matter. The day before my wedding I went to pick up my dress and they told me it wasn't ready because they didn't have time to steam it the night before. I was very upset! Luckily the woman working steamed its very quickly and I wasn't late getting to our out of town venue. The dress did look and feel amazing. So their quality of work is great and it wasn't too outrageously expensive. The staff is great, but the owner can be hard to work with. If you take your dress here, stay on top of it!
I went to multiple places looking for a bridal gown and nowhere compared to chantilly lace! The staff were very friendly and helpful! I didn't have to have a lot of alterations don...
e on my dress but their turn around time was fantastic!! They did all of my alterations within a couple weeks and that's after multiple fittings! I was so impressed with their work that I had my rehearsal dinner dress hemmed by them as well and was very impressed with how that turned out as well. We had a couple problems with the tuxes for the guys however they were able to contact Jim's formal wear and get that fixed within a days time! They also were able to hem pants for the guys that Jim's formal wear didn't do correctly! They completed this in an afternoon as well! I couldn't say one bad thing about them and would highly recommend them to anyone in search of a bridal gown!
I had purchased my wedding dress from another location in a different state and contacted Angel at Chantilly Lace about alterations. She immediately said that it wouldn't be a prob...
lem. She did a wonderful job on the changes to my dress which included taking it in quite a bit and adding some straps. I felt like she listened to everything I had to say and got it all right. The day of my wedding my dress fit like a glove and not once did I feel uncomfortable. I was able to move and sit with no problems and everyone complemented me on the straps which turned out exactly like I had imagined. Also the price I paid for the service I received was excellent. I would go back to Chantilly Lace for any of my formal dress needs and maybe for that vow renewal in 10 years!!
I absolutely loved the dress I got from Chantilly Lace. I thought it would be a long-shot to expect getting an affordable dress that was exactly what I was hoping for, especially a...
t a local boutique. Chantilly Lace had a TON of dresses to choose from, which I was surprised by - I had no idea they could fit that many dresses in their store. The service was excellent and they did my alterations very quickly (within about a week). Definitely give this boutique a shot before checking the larger stores. It was worth it for me!
I got a bridesmaids dress as my wedding dress after their suggestion. I didn't want a train and wanted something simple. I loved the dress I got! The alterations looked good and w...

were also very fast in getting everything done seeing as I waited a bit late, but they took care of everything.
Very great service. One alteration for free so my hem was free. Great store to buy from!!
Nice dresses, selection is a little small, everyone seemed friendly and it was easy to get appointments.

With limited options as far as bridal shops in the Roanoke Valley go, we were fortunate that Chantilly Lace carried the line of dresses I was interested in. Even more impressive w...
as the fact that they actually had a sample of the dress I had had my eye on for months! However, their service got a little frustrating after a while. My first scheduled fitting was never recorded in the books so they weren't prepared for me when I came. When I had to rescheduled my second fitting, they forgot to change the date on the alterations ticket, so they called me that morning asking if it was ok to come at the end of the day, even though my dress might not be ready yet. And after having an issue with the bodice, we had three different girls tell us there wasn't much they could do. Their final solution was fashion tape, which if you haven't worn it before can be painful. My mom and I finally brought the dress home where my mom was able to adjust the bodice. I did get my dream dress, though, so overall I was pleased.
Beautiful dresses in all varieties and sizes.

e was very helpful and always knew who I was when I called or came in. I would have given them a higher rating but my bustling broke on my dress after ahwile at my wedding and they were supposed to reinforce my eye hook on my dress and it did not get done so my dress actually broke 20 min before my wedding was over. It all worked out though!
Cheap prices and great fitting rooms.;Don't book the first fitting appointment of the day. The store opens late some what regularly and the lady the handles the fittings will prob...
