s the one Walters vendor we interacted with that truly went above and beyond to make our day special. Jenny Layne Bakery: Our gluten-free/dairy-free cakes and other desserts were delicious. The bakery did everything they promised in terms of design on our cakes. However, all our interaction with the bakery was through our venue coordinator. We never spoke to a direct representative of the bakery, which was troubling to me (it may not be to everyone). DesignHaus Floral: I cannot recommend against this florist enough. We were in discussions with DesignHaus for about a month. During that time, two separate employees explained we would receive a $1600 floral credit if we chose to book. We thought this sounded too good to be true, so we inquired further about the credit. The same two separate people then explained the credit to us as a “gift card.” So, we were surprised when we were invoiced by the venue for $1600 after deciding to book with DesignHaus. The $1600 credit isn’t a credit at all. The credit is paid to the venue for them to pass through to DesignHaus. Personally, since two separate employees explained the credit to us as a gift card (and since I’ve seen other reviews related to the “credit”), I feel DesignHaus is deceptive toward potential customers. Emily Chappell Photography: I planned my wedding from start to finish, so it was important to me to carefully research each vendor. When I contacted Emily Chappell Photography to request an initial meeting to discuss a few questions, I was told they don’t schedule calls for “planning and logistics.” I would have the opportunity to meet with my assigned photographer only after booking and paying. This blatant disregard for potential clients’ communication preferences caused me to look elsewhere for my photographer. Venue Event Coordinator: We were passed through two other event coordinators before finally being assigned to Lainey O’Steen. There was no formal communication at any time about the switches in coordinators. I did not feel Lainey was helpful on our wedding day. We didn’t see her for most of the day, and she didn’t seem to enjoy her interactions with us when we did see her. This caused my family and other assistants I brought in to work overtime to make sure everything went smoothly. Also, we paid $500 (plus a "service fee") to reserve our rehearsal for the day before our wedding. About 2 weeks prior, we were told we had to change our rehearsal time to accommodate a wedding adding extra time to their reservation. To the venue’s credit, they did not charge us for the rehearsal after this change. However, we were asked to leave about 10 to 15 minutes before our rehearsal was scheduled to end. We understand weddings take precedence over rehearsals, but I would have expected more professionalism & efficiency in scheduling given the amount I paid to have my wedding here. Other Day-Of Mishaps: There were high schoolers taking prom photos around the venue on our wedding day. My husband had to ask venue staff 3 times to remove them. To top it all off, we chose the fajita buffet for dinner - and our guests were told they were only allowed 1 tortilla in the buffet line. This limitation was not mentioned during the planning process, and quite frankly, it was embarrassing to hear about after my wedding.

nervous having our day of coordination through a venue, but our day ran so smoothly!! I was truly able to sit back, relax, and enjoy our day. Lainey was our coordinator and she was FANTASTIC! She did everything - made sure the day was running smoothly, made sure we ate/drank, talked with all my vendors (we did a lot of outside vendors), and even fixed our polaroid camera! The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we received so many compliments on our wedding!! We are so glad we went with this venue!

From our wedding consultant Nick taking plenty of time with us between all the venues to my planners Payton and Brenda I could not be more thankful. Brenda has truly had our back through the whole planning process and been such a joy to work with. I cannot wait for my wedding day!!

The in-house vendors were wildly expensive, and the restrictions and fees around third-party vendors felt more like punishments than policies. It added unnecessary stress to the process. Also, while our package included a planner, it honestly felt redundant. The day-of coordinators—Payton and Heather—were the real backbone of our experience. They were incredible. When my wife’s bustle broke right before our first dance, Payton handled it perfectly and kept everything moving without a hitch. One major issue, though: one of our guests didn’t have a plate. It was incredibly embarrassing as a host and the last thing I wanted to worry about on our wedding day. I’m still not sure where the miscommunication happened, but the venue is that strict on headcount and didn’t offer much grace. For the amount we spent, that kind of rigidity felt disappointing. Also worth noting—the surrounding construction and exposed dirt areas made the entry experience feel unfinished and uninviting. It took away from the first impression, which is unfortunate given how beautiful the venue itself is. We loved our day, and we’re grateful for the memories—but just know that Walters Wedding Estates is very much a business, and the pricing and policies reflect that. If you do book, definitely request Payton and Heather—they were the highlight.

Everyone in our family kept complimenting her on how on top of everything she was with directing vendors and making sure our day went smoothly. We were looking for a more hands on venue so that we could do the least amount of work ourselves and this venue checked off all our boxes.

I FULLY believe that is because of our day of coordinator Brenda Wilson (she helped with so much leading up to the wedding as well). Payton, Lainey, and Hector are also three people that have dedicated themselves to helping our day be the best that it possibly could be. They're SO organized, SO helpful in letting us know that there are deals going on (like black Friday) and making sure that all of our vendors know when there are any changes in our day. I've felt so stress free and couldn't be more thankful for such a phenomenal team that cares so much about the first day of their customers forever. I couldn't have asked for a better venue and team!

food, DJ, and organization of the wedding itself. Everything was perfect, and a huge part of that was from our on-site coordinator, Lainey O. Lainey was EVERYWHERE during the wedding. She kept us on time and even made sure we had the opportunity to eat during the reception. She helped my wedding party with the set up and break down of our personal belongings AND she was incredibly attentive the entire time. We really lucked out getting to work with such an awesome coordinator. When you book, make sure to request Lainey to know that you will be taken care of. I felt like my wedding was an absolute dream. beautiful the chapel on the water and the venue were and loved how everything was located together. We had great communication and wedding to-do checklists with our coordinator Payton and the vendors the venue works with are great. Our DJ Michael was amazing, he was full of energy and kept the dance floor full and announced the events of our timeline perfectly. He followed all our instructions and had the perfect demeanor, everyone thought he was so fun! Our day of coordinator Brenda was is very seasoned and professional and she did exceptional at making sure everything stayed on track and we could focus on our big day instead of the other small details. All of the vendors we worked with were great, they communicated well and we got them what they needed ahead of time so their operations would be as seamless as possible. Very excited to get our photos and video content back from the venue videographer and photographer, they got such amazing shots of creative videos and pictures! Everyone working our wedding seemed truly happy for us and celebrated our big day with us. d out the rest of the complex soon as the open dirt area's look less than inviting, however the wedding facility including the chapel and party area is amazing. My only negative and this is a big one for me as my family are foodies, is the dinner served was intuitional cuisine at best. I have had better food at my local high school. Most of my guests refused to eat the chicken which was rubbery and the 1/2 of a think cut steak was hard to cut and had no flavor except for the salty and over seasoned peppercorn sauce. The dinner was suppose to have Mac & Cheese on the plate but was replaced with Penne pasta in a cream sauce. The Caesar Salad was a hand full of romaine lettuce on a very small plate, with 2 small croutons, a bit of parmesan cheese and a drizzle of store bought Caesar dressing. Very plain and had no appeal. Toss the salad in a bowl and then plate it. If I am going to pay as much as I did, I expect a lot more than the food we were served. I know its hard to find good help, but getting a great Chef and not a senior citizen home line cook dishing out the crap we were served. Our vegetarian meals were even worse. Not only did they come out 20 minutes before anyone else food, it looked like it was dog food. One girl who was anti gluten, and we ordered a gluten meal, never got her special dish. It would be worth hiring a real Chef, asking maybe a $1,000 more per event and giving a meal worth of the space. Good quality food takes time and cost a bit more and all the sauces in the world can not cover up poor quality choices.

super easy with zero stress. Brenda and Peyton were our planners and "day of " event coordinators. Everything was beyond our expectations. They worked within our budget and came up with solutions to stretch said budget. On the day of, they were everywhere all at once. They were always checking on us to make sure we lacked nothing. Drinks and appetizers appeared magically!! Brenda even helped me with the French bustle ( she was experienced at this and had lightening speed hands) Towards the end of the evening my daughter said she didn't know what happened to my 40 year old crystal champagne flutes . I asked Brenda and she said , they were already wrapped in tissue and put away for us to take home. They pretty much boxed up everything extra that we brought in and put it all together for us to carry out. Everything was PERFECT from food , drinks, lighting , DJ, flowers and the guys/girls getting ready suites . Everything was fabulous!! Plus, the venue itself is gorgeous!! We did tour other venues prior to the Palacios. Nothing compared, we were in love!! We were so happy with this decision and gave our only daughter the" fairy tale" wedding of dreams!!
