The Charles Glenn Band was AMAZING! This band was such a highlight of the evening. Their performance was more than 5 star with amazing energy, engagement with the crowd, emceeing, and musical talent! Hiring The Charles Glenn Band was one decision of wedding planning that far exceeded our expectations. We also had two of the band members (violinist and key board) play at the ceremony....it was beautiful. We went with the 8 piece band and everyone was so much fun and talented! They rocked our venue! We also appreciated working with Contemporary Productions . I was a nervous mother of the Bride and wanted a perfect evening, and can honestly say it was perfect to me with Charles Glenn contributing heavily to that goal!

This band was incredible and really made our wedding one for the books. Their music got nearly all of our guests out on the dance floor and kept them their all night. Could not recommend them more!

Working with Contemporary Productions and The Charles Glenn Group was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! They were timely in their responses and helpful and organized with booking and information as the wedding day approached. I knew the group would be a blast to have, but they certainly exceeded our expectations. From the introductions to the songs they all sang to the songs played on your break, everything was absolutely perfect and so, so fun! The dance floor was packed all night. This was one of the biggest goals of my husband's and mine for our wedding reception, and it was certainly accomplished because of them. People are still complimenting us on how awesome our band was. They are the best!!! Charles sang the "National Anthem" and did an amazing job as usual. All of our St. Louis guests LOVED that. We really cannot thank them enough. Unfortunately, the majority of our friends are married now, but if anyone needs a band for a wedding, they will certainly be recommended by us. After my now husband Jeff and I got engaged, the church and venue were our first priorities so we could lock in a date but once those were set, the next thing on our list was finding a band for our reception. I knew I always wanted a band at my wedding – there is something about the energy from live music that can’t quite be replicated by a DJ and it was my hope that we would have a packed dance floor from start to finish once that part of the reception got underway. To say we were thrilled to learn the Charles Glenn Group was available on our wedding date is an understatement – anyone that’s been to a Blues game over the past several years knows Charles has a phenomenal voice but we were also blown away by the talent of the other band members in their demo video. Due to COVID, there really wasn’t an opportunity for us to hear the band live before we booked them but we had no doubt that they would live up to our expectations. And they did much more than that – they completely blew them out of the water! Our dance floor was full the entire night and we had countless guests of all ages tell us how amazing the band was. They nailed all of our first dance songs but what really made the night so memorable for us was their willingness to accommodate a very special song request. My parents were married in the fall of 1979 and they also had a band at their reception. Their only request was that the band would know how to play their first dance song, "Somewhere" from West Side Story. However, when it came time for the first dance, it turned out the band did not know their song at all and to this day, neither of them can even remember what song they ended up dancing to for their First Dance. After hearing this story growing up, I had always thought about how much I would love to surprise them by having the band play their song at my wedding reception and the Charles Glenn Group made this dream a reality. It was one of the highlights of the night, watching my parents dance to a song they had waited 42 years for and I’ll never forget the looks on their faces when they first realized what song the band was playing. If you are lucky enough to have a wedding date where the Charles Glenn Group is available, do yourself a huge favor and lock them in before someone else does – they played a huge part in making our wedding day so special. We also want to give a big thanks to Peter and Gretchin at Contemporary Productions for helping us coordinate everything with the band. They were wonderful to work with and made the entire process seamless from beginning to end.

An outstanding performance! The dance floor was full from beginning to end. The music selections and arrangements were spot on and the performances of the special dances were exceptional. The band was very interactive with the crowd and our out of town guests were full of compliments on the performance and music. I would use the Charles Glenn Group again for another wedding or any function. They were truly outstanding.

AMAZING! Words are such an understatement to fully describe our delight in the Charles Glenn Group's performance on New Year's Eve. We hired his fabulous group as a trio for cocktail hour and the full group for the reception. The band looked gorgeous, had so much fun with our guests and truly entertained. So professional, so helpful in implementing all the special dances, and requests. We've had so many people calling to say they've never had such fun at a reception. We danced all night! Incredible! We had to seriously downsize last minute because of the increase in Covid cases, so only had 16 guests, but everyone was up and dancing, and the room felt so FULL with the band's spirit and talent! They were simply amazing, and EVERYONE (all 16 people, ha!) keep telling us how wonderful the band was and that the Charles Glenn Group was the best wedding band they'd ever heard.

Where to I begin?! The Charles Glenn Group was INCREDIBLE!!!! Not only where the the nicest people in the world, they got every single person at our wedding up and dancing the second their first song started. A Dream come true!!! Charles was so interactive with the wedding and did some custom songs for the wedding couple as well as singing the song I always wanted to have sung to me and my daughter for our dance that felt personal and "Charlesed" A perfect group for a perfect night he Funked it up as per our direction and made it a forever memorable evening!! We loved working with the Charles Glenn band! He was so kind and professional, and made it very clear that this was our day, and he would do everything to make sure it went perfect. Charles Glenn rocked my daughter's wedding and the dance floor was packed all night long. We had some guests who were professional musicians and they were very impressed with the quality of the music and the talent of the musicians and vocalists. We had the full 12-piece band and it was a great decision to put our money into the full deal rather than other things because it made the party. When my second daughter gets married we will be scheduling the wedding date around Charles Glenn and his band's availability!

Absolutely incredible band. We booked Charles Glenn for our wedding at the Contemporary Art Museum St Louis at the end of September. Their jazz trio played during cocktail hour and dinner and the full band had the entire wedding dancing all night long. Seriously. The dance floor was packed. Highly recommend!!

Having seen them perform before, we had high hopes for Charles and his band. They exceeded it all! They worked well and helped coordinate with our friends who performed a song for our first dance. They kept the reception going and had the dance floor full all night. Charles was also kind enough to spend part of his break talking, taking pictures, and even signing an autograph for our family members. Weeks after the wedding, we are still getting compliments and having people tell us how amazing our band was!

I hope you pick the Charles Glenn Group to perform at your wedding because you are guaranteed to have a fantastic time!!! During cocktail hour and dinner, we were able to have recorded and then live music in the background-- great ambiance! The band played such fun classics and new songs, kept the dance floor alive, and helped us incorporate some reggaeton, salsa and recent Spanish language hits! At the end of the night, they gave us their drumsticks from the evening to help us remember! Also, Gretchen, our coordinator, was so easy to work with - in contact via email in the months before and then she reached out to our catering day-of coordinator during the last few weeks to ensure they both were on the same page.

I have hired them a couple of times for corporate events and knew that I had to book them for my wedding! Gretchen, with Contemporary Productions, was amazing to deal with from the initial contract to the wedding date. Every single detail made its way to the band and was executed flawlessly. At the end of the evening, they were kind enough to let my brother-in-law accompany me on their keyboard while I surprised my husband and sang him a song. It truly was the highlight of the evening for us and many of our guests. They are not only insanely talented, but were so very kind to us and all of our guests. We had The Charles Glenn Group for our son’s wedding which was held at the Peabody Opera House. The band played the most fantastic music and made the evening a blast! Different parts of the group played throughout the entire event from piano during the ceremony, a jazz trio during cocktails to the full band for dinner and dancing. Charles, himself, is a charming,magnetic human being who everyone wants to be around! He just lights up a room even without his music -add his music to him and BAM! It’s a magical event.

What can I say? 100% signed, sealed, delivered, all the way. My family is a bunch of southern Illinois country folk, and we held our reception in a large semi-open air venue out in Paderborn, IL, Karban's Knotty Pines. The drummer showed up early and talked me through everything for setup. In spite of the big room, the sound quality was outstanding, and they set up so that we could have as big of a dance floor as possible. Everyone danced their booties off all night long, and everyone kept asking my bridal party who the band was. Everyone, that is, except for the hardcore Blues hockey fans who knew Charles and were in awe for the private performance of "When the Blues Go Marching In". They were beyond good. They made the whole party and emceed the whole thing too. The variety of music was perfect. They even played/sang 3 POLKA songs live in honor of my German grandparents. Not only did Charles and his band give a great live performance, but Gretchen and Brad at Contemporary Productions did an amazing job communicating and helping me every step of the way with specific song requests, and creating an exact timeline which I based my whole wedding around. We opted for a jazz trio during the dinner hour, which was well worth it. If you really want a once-in-a-lifetime special night, I don't think you can do any better than the Charles Glenn Group.

Charles Glenn is all that our guests have been talking about! The band was *hot* !!!! They kept the dance floor full all night and knew all the right songs to play to keep people entertained! Charles is well-known in the area to both our friends and our parent's friends and this generated a lot of excitement. Plus, they learned all of our special songs. The female lead was every bit as powerful of a singer as Beyonce and Whitney combined. The whole band had so much soul and energy and impressed a family full of professional musicians. If we could go back in time, we'd book the four hours instead of three - even on a Sunday!!!!

Charles and the band played at my daughter's wedding last weekend. I can't tell you how fabulous they were, and how many positive comments I received from our guests about their music. They were able to learn and play several special requests, and kept the dance floor filled up to the very end of the reception...even on a Sunday night!! It was so much fun to see my friends and family rockin' it on the dance floor as if we were in our teens again! THERE ARE NO WORDS! Having Charles and his band play at the wedding absolutely made our reception. His vocal range is like no other and the band was so so talented. Our guests are still talking about the music. They read the crowd perfectly, were so interactive and really knew how to keep people on the dance floor. The only hiccup was that my first-dance and father daughter song were cut short, but thats the risk you run when having it played live. Just be sure to be extra clear with the length and style you expect for special songs. Would absolutely book the band a million times over!!

If I could give the Charles Glenn Group 15 stars, I would. Totally worth every penny. If you hire them, trust me you will be able to sleep well at night and worry about the other details for your wedding because this one is completely and totally amazing and taken care of from the minute you sign the contract. They were hands down the highlight of the wedding. My husband and I did not stop dancing the entire night. My uncle even asked if they had CDs they could sell! They were amazing. Truly, truly amazing.

Charles Glenn and his wife performed at my reception. They did an excellent job! My now husband and I debated about whether to have a DJ or Band. Luckily, I won the battle and we booked Charles. After the wedding, my husband agreed that it was the right choice. Dance floors at weddings are rarely as packed as they were at mine. Charles Glenn performs a great selection of music for all ages. They were also very helpful in playing specific songs outside of their performance style to meet our Sorority and Fraternity traditions.

I can't imagine my wedding reception without the Charles Glenn Group. They were so much fun and completely flawless. Everyone danced the entire time. We received ubiquitously positive feedback. He sang a great selection of songs and killed it. He did Whitney Houston better than Whitney Houston. I had an unusually Bride/FOB dance (Procol Harem- "Lighter Shade of Pale") and he nailed it. Also, Contemporary Productions, the company that works with Charles Glenn, was so easy to work with. I planned my wedding from out of town and Lauren, my contact, was incredibly efficient and communicative. I would strongly recommend this band- I can't say enough positive things.

Charles and his band did an amazing job at our reception. Getting people out on the dance floor was not a problem. They played a great mix of older & newer music that kept the whole population happy. My husband and I danced until the very last song and loved every minute.

Charles and his band came down to Cape Girardeau for our wedding in September. They were without a doubt the best band we could have asked for. They aren't the cheapest band out there, but you definitely get what you pay for. The dance floor was packed for the full four hours. Everyone said that Charles was the best band they had ever heard at a wedding. The energy was high the whole night. No doubt about it, they were worth every penny.

Other than the ceremony, Charles Glenn was by far the highlight of our wedding in July. We had an 8 piece band and couldn't have been happier. I'm a music teacher and my husband is a full time musician and there was nobody else we would even consider after seeing Charles! Almost all of my husband's friends are musicians from around the country and we wanted to blow away everybody from LA to New York. Charles and his band were over the top and played music to get everybody dancing. They played everything from Earth Wind and Fire to newer songs still on the radio. They even played without taking any breaks. We had a Jewish wedding and Charles' band played the best sounding and most energetic Horah that we had ever heard as well! One of our guests was an agent with William Morris in Beverly Hills and even his jaw dropped when Charles sang Whitney Houston's "I will always Love you" EVEN BETTER THAN WHITNEY. And yes, CHARLES sings it, not the female singer (who was also fantastic!). If you want to awe your guests and have a great time look no further. It was incredibly easy to work with the band and they came fully prepared. They’re worth every penny!
