Charles Street Bakery

Charles street bakery made our wedding cake and it was perfect! I changed my mind a few times on the design and colors of the cake and the staff was always kind and helpful. Not only was our cake beautiful but it was also delicious. Everyone raved about how good the cake was. I also surprised my husband with a grooms cake. I gave the bakery a basic idea of what I was thinking and let them have free range and it was awesome! It had all his sports teams on it, a jersey with his name on it, a video game controller..it was just perfect and tasted great too. We were very happy we hired Charles Street bakery!

Delicious and beautiful cake!! Planning with Charles Street Bakery was so easy and fun! They are really creative and helped me get my ideas onto the cake! The cake tasting was fabulous! Two of my sisters have gotten married before me and I attended their cake testings at other bakeries where we got a small fork size portion of cake to try...not the case at Charles Street Bakery. Here, they give everyone huge slices to try and every type was delicious! The cake arrived at my venue gorgeous and my guests loved the cake as well!!

La Plata is a beautiful historical town in Maryland. I knew very little about it until I found Charles Street Bakery online. First and foremost this is a small bakery shop with fun loving people. The cake tasting was great! It was free, and Deborah made my wedding cake so beautiful!! My guests were in awe. I would recommend this vendor and I will make sure to visit La Plata soon!! Thank you sooo much This was my first tasting of strawberry cake and it was goood we used it with red velvet for our wedding flavors

Cake looked and tasted amazing!!! We used chocolate and vanilla cake flavored. We especially liked the chocolate. Cake design also looked great. Very detailed and perfect. We were very pleased. Kept top layer for 1st anniversary but are planning on ordering a fresh small replica to enjoy on our wedding anniversary :-). Would highly reccommend

Charles Street bakery made my wedding cake and it surpassed all expectations I had. I could not believe that my cake was as gorgeous as it was, on top of tasting so delicious. Every bite was eaten and I can't wait until the next party we have just so I can have an excuse to have a cake made. BEST CAKE EVER.

I have a very busy work schedule and trying to do tastings and contact people was a little hectic. I had gotten in touch with a few different vendors and at first things would go great and then all of the sudden the communication would just stop. One vendor told me that the cake I wanted done would HAVE to be done with fondant (which I did NOT want and knew that it did NOT have to be done that way) when I expressed my concerns and asked her if she could do it another way she just stopped talking to me all together. All she had to do was say she wasn't comfortable with that. I finally contacted Charles Street Bakery and they were amazing! I got a tasting the day after I called and when I went in they were so helpful. She said she had no problem doing the cake without fondant. The cake was so delicious and turned out exactly the way we wanted it. The pricing was almost half of what other places were quoting us too.

Charles Street Bakery is located in the quaint little town of La Plata, MD. It's one of those places where you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. Our experience with CSB was outstanding. During our cake consultation, I couldn't find any pictures of any cakes that I liked so the young woman we were working with offered to sketch ideas for me. We put our suggestions together and came up with a beautiful cake, even on paper! The cake itself is moist, it has a very "homemade" quality about it. So many other cakes we tasted were more like box cakes. The icing is fantastic, not too buttery or too oily. Our cake was vanilla cake, buttercream and raspberry sauce (2 layers) and chocolate cake with chocolate ganache (1 layer). We received so many compliments on the cake and design, and could not have been happier! I highly recommend this bakery!!!
