GOOD at what she does! My flowers exceeded my imagination! They managed to take all the crazy thoughts and pictures i sent them and create arrangements that were exactly what I wanted, even when I didn't know what I wanted! They were so flexible with my budget and wedding day coordination details, they accommodated every request, and they truly went above and beyond to create the exact aesthetic we wanted. Every interaction with them was top-notch, and I am so grateful they were a part of our wedding day! Thank you Catherine and Charleston Flower Market!

and beyond for me. I would definitely use them again. Really accommodating! It was really important to me to have daffodils in my bouquet but I learned they were out of season in march. She saved and dried daffodils for me and I was able to use them in my wedding bouquet. It was my grandfather's favorite flower and it was a special memento to have. Excellent !!

wasn't there. She selected the meeting date and time. Another staff person called her and said she was "on the way". Waited until 20 minutes past our set meeting time and I ultimately left. If they can't keep a simple meeting I definitely cannot trust them to be on time (or remember) for my wedding. Also, staff wasn't very apologetic of wasting my time.

t of what my husband and I wanted months in advance. Day of the wedding Catherine arrived to set up and we began to notice that our flowers were not what we expected. The gardenias were brown, my bridal bouquet was not wrapped correctly with wilted white roses, the bridesmaids bouquets had closed Sunflowers, the boutonnieres and corsages were brown and wilting. My heart began to sink. Catherine then went to Harris Teeter for a few extra Sunflower to add to the bouquets. The day after we were eating breakfast with our guests and one of our closest friends made a comment about our table arrangements and how it was a good idea to have fake flowers so we could reuse them. FAKE FLOWERS?! I freaked and began to look over our pictures. Sure enough our centerpieces and cake table flowers, forsythias, were fake. We had also asked for shepherd’s hooks down the aisle to hang daisy balls. Instead there were no shepherd hooks and Catherine hung them over our guest chairs. We emailed Louise Thackeray on the 18th after we had called the store to set up a meeting. She replied that she would be in and out as it was their busiest time of year. We understood and asked her to set a date and time that fit her schedule as we would like to go over our experience with her company. May 24th we had still not heard back so we emailed her again. She called us and we set up a meeting the last week in May. When we arrived Louise met us and we explained to her our displeasure with their products. We went over our estimate with her and she marked down the items that we were charged for and tried to explain their side of what happened. She explained that they occasionally use fake flowers if their supplier runs out (weather, transportation issues, etc..) she explained that the shepherds hooks could not fit into the grass that day because the ground was too hard. She explained that they knew the sunflowers were not opened and sometimes they have to make emergency runs to other suppliers to make last minute changes. We showed her the pictures of all the flowers and she agreed that some of them were not to her company’s standard. She took our estimate and began to mark through some of the items that we were charged for and said that she would look it over and get back to us. July 9th, 2016 and we have not heard a word. I emailed her again on June 3rd see where we were on our final discussion. No phone calls, no emails. Of course they were paid in advance as were all our vendors so we have really no recourse but to share our experience through social media in hopes that others will not make the same mistake we did. Let me say that we are fine with Louie's excuses for "fake" flowers (my husband would have like to have kept them, since we did actually pay for them), we understand that things happen (the ground is too hard, shipments did not come in, weather patterns change supply volume) but we would have liked to have been charged accordingly and reimbursed for what we actually received and told prior to signing our contract that these things happen all the time (according to Louie’s) and what they would do if these problems arouse. Their flowers were terrible and so was our interaction with them once they were paid in full.

I described the venue and a vague color scheme and she took it from there, and made sure that everything she provided worked with the existing scenery as well as our budget. The boutonnieres, my bridal bouquet, and the bridesmaids bouquets were exactly what I wanted, and we received so many compliments! She worked with us to use these same bouquets as centerpieces on half of the reception tables, while providing additional arrangements, aisle markers, a small cluster for our cake, and greenery to enhance what was already growing on the courtyard trellis. Communication was so easy – I planned our wedding from a distance, and Catherine made me feel assured that everything would be perfect; she took the time to meet with us during our one visit to Charleston during the planning process, showing us her inventory of vases and candles and lanterns, so that when we left, everything was completely agreed on and ready to go for our big day. I can’t thank her and her team enough for providing our wedding flowers perfect – it was one of our best decisions to go with CFM and I have been so thrilled with the pictures I have seen so far which include the gorgeous arrangements!

o tears when I saw them. Our boutonnieres were supposed to be anemones and they were tiny and not opened at all so extra expense was pointless. My bridal bouquet was $245 and looked like something put together from a grocery store. It was mostly hydrangea and roses (inexpensive flowers) and it was suppose to have anemones (expensive flowers) but only had 3 in the whole bunch were were again barely opened so added no color. It looked nothing like the bouquet we agreed on or any of the 3 pictures I sent a minimum of 5 times. I even requested a meeting with her the day before the wedding but she only had 1 small arrangement ready for me to review. She acted like she had no time for me because mine wasn't a "big" order, but mind you I spent $1750 on flowers all together so not an insignificant budget! I emailed her afterwards and never got any responses. She also was to have a wrist corsage for our reader which was never delivered. There are so many florists in Charleston. I'm afraid if you have a budget <$2000 you may be ignored during a busy period. I am very disappointed Catherine!

down with me, got a feel for what I liked, (I took a fabric sample of my bridesmaids' dresses to show color ideas) and gave me a quote. She told me to think it over, etc., and get back to her when I was ready. Because I got married outside, I decided that the flowers were not the most important thing to me, so I cut my order down to just bouquets and boutonnieres. Some florists would have given me grief for that, but they didn't and my bouquets were BEAUTIFUL! I was a super laid back bride and kind of gave them creative license. They didn't disappoint. The flowers were fresh and the bouquets were nice and full. They made my husband's boutonniere different than his groomsmen's, and it was my favorite flower, which I didn't think of/ask for, but thought was such an awesome touch!(I had mentioned my favorite at the appointment, they're not psychic! :) Definitely check them out...the shop is adorable, too!

d the rest. My bouquet was absolutely stunning and one of my favorite parts of my wedding. My ceremony and reception were decorated simply, yet beautifully. Catherine personally dropped the flowers off to my hotel and came to gather everything at the end of the reception. was a mix of various types of white, english roses and lavender sprigs, as I wanted. I also enjoyed the greenery included but was a bit disappointed that more deep purple flowers were not used to match our plum wedding color, as well as lavender sprigs throughout the decor as that is one of my favorites. With that being said, they were easy to work with throughout the process. However, I wish we had had a follow up conversation closer to the event to be sure we were still on the same page. Though they were able to work with my event planner to schedule a drop-off time.

heard back from the company. I had a wedding of only about 65 people and was not making any crazy or unrealistic requests. I called and emailed several times without response before I gave up on them and found another florist. That's just bad business! A response saying they weren't interested in helping us would have at least been the professional thing to do! Would not recommend contacting this business, especially if you have time constraints and can't wait a month or two to be blown off.

We planned our wedding from Washington, DC so it can be a bit difficult to communicate with vendors from afar but they were very responsive and very patient when I called and emailed multiple times certain weeks with questions. Their pricing was incredibly reasonable and they delivered on everything they promised. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

ted when I first came to the Flower Market. I met with Catherine, gave her a basic color scheme and a few types of flowers that I liked. From there, she created the perfect arrangements and bouquets for my reception and bridal party. The Charleston Flower Market also helped with other details for the reception site; lanterns, votive candles,etc. The folks at Charleston Flower Market are flexible, friendly, and dedicated to making each of their client's wedding beautiful. I highly recommend them to any bride to be around Charleston.

t was great just flowing through ideas and getting things together so that it would be perfect the day of. The only thing I will say is that there communication leaves something to be desired. I would call them and leave them messages and would not hear anything or they would say they would call me back or e-mail me and I would have to call and remind them. It took several attempts to finally get a final contract, but we eventually got it all worked out. I think it's more of an organization thing than anything because we were planning things during the busy prom/wedding season. They did beautiful work and I would highly recommend them, but I think you have to have patience. But they take your ideas and make them wonderful and I don't think you will be disappointed with the results!
