We were absolutely blown away by the performance of Charleston Virtuosi string quartet at our wedding ceremony at the French Huguenot Church. Their music added a touch of elegance and romance to our special day. The band they provided for our wedding reception at Dewberry Hotel was equally amazing, keeping the energy high and the dance floor packed all night long. Not only did they play all our favorite songs, but they also learned and performed a few special requests that made our day even more memorable. We cannot recommend Charleston Virtuosi enough for their exceptional talent and professionalism.

We had a destination wedding in Savannah. Music was very important to us and we couldn't have asked for a better lineup of musicians for our wedding. We hired almost thirty musicians through Charleston Virtuosi including their string orchestra and party band and a surprise performer during dinner. Peter and his team did an outstanding job!

Me as an art producer working with different artists I felt incredibly lucky to have Charleston Virtuosi provide music entertainment for our wedding day in Charleston earlier this year. They were recommended to us by our wedding planner. From start to finish the communication with Peter was fast and easy, making the planning process a breeze. The Spicers Band and the string quartet were absolutely fantastic. The singers voices were simply mesmerizing. Our guests also enjoyed listening to their string pop covers during cocktail hour. Giving them five stars :)

The music at our daughter's wedding was absolutely fantastic! The party band from Charleston Virtuosi and their afterparty DJ made the nigh unforgettable. The band played a great selection of songs that had everyone on the dance floor all night long. Musicians were incredibly talented and their outfits added an extra touch of style to the whole event. We couldn't have asked for better entertainment for our special day.

We hired our wedding reception band through charleston virtuosi. The week of our wedding we figured out that the band we hired would not be performing at our wedding. Peter did not inform us directly I figured it out when I ask for a sample of our first dance song so we could practice and what I was sent was from a different singer.
On our wedding day the new band the company put together did not compose the same number of musicians as what we paid for. After our wedding Peter reached out and provided a partial refund for the mistake. I will say he was apologetic which was nice since this was a pretty large mistake.
When I received the partial refund I was shocked at what Peter thought was an appropriate amount. We had a custom stage build for the band we hired so when one band member didn’t show up it made the stage look ginormous for the number of people occupying it. With all the effort put into each design element this was a big mistake by the company.
When we ask Peter to reimburse us properly for the missing band member, he ignored our emails and we’ve yet to hear from him. We didn’t ask for a total refund just to be reimbursed for what one member costs out of the total price.
I’m disappointed in the handling of this issue and the lack of transparency from the company related to the band. The singer that did perform at our wedding was wonderful and our guests really enjoyed her performance.
The only negative I do have is that for my father daughter dance, I specifically asked for one verse to not be eliminated and the verse I asked for was cut in the artist’s shortened version.
The company does have a very talented group of musicians for clients to pick from. I feel our experience is not the norm but it did happen and I feel the company did not handle their mistake appropriately.

Charleston Virtuosi was amazing! They played our selected songs during our wedding ceremony and relocated (to the 2nd floor of the venue) to play during our cocktail hour. The music was beautifully played, and you could tell they took the time to learn a few songs per our request. Very professional and friendly to work with.

We were both so happy we ended up going with Charleston Virtuosi for our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour music. Having a destination wedding made trying to find musicians for our ceremony a bit more challenging. But working with Peter made it seem so effortless and all of the little details were taken care of. My wife is a huge Disney fan and Peter made sure to give us about a dozen Disney songs for the ceremony while guests were arriving. He didn't even have these listed on his website, but what we requested he made happen. We had the violin and cello duo for our ceremony and every single one of our guests said how amazing it was to have the string instruments for our beach ceremony. We then had the piano and saxophone duo for our cocktail hour. They made sure to set a vibe that was exactly what we wanted. A jazzy beach vibe that all of our guests seemed to enjoy while having drinks on the oceanfront deck. Would no doubt recommend booking either of these duos if you want amazing quality music, and also stress free planning for ceremony music. Peter even reached out to us following our wedding and set us a wedding gift which shows just how much detail he puts into the process. Couldn't have picked a better choice for our music.

The string trio (turned into Quartet @ no additional charge) played for my daughters' wedding ceremony on October 13, 2019, at Lowndes Grove Plantation. They were everything I had hoped. From start to finish they very professional, played beautifully and made her ceremony magical. I can't recommend them enough. You won't be disappointed.

The Charleston Virtuosi came highly recommended to me through my wedding planner who had worked with them many times before. The quality, caliber and uniqueness of the string trio was unrivaled and unlike anything I have seen. We opted to play more contemporary songs for our guests arrival and for the ceremony. My family and guests are still raving about the music!! Peter and his musicians are professional and the best of the best. I cannot wait to get our video footage so I can ear all of their beautiful music.

Do not use them! I sent Peter instructions to play 3 particular songs and then a huge list to use as filer during the ceremony. The musicians played for a total of 2 minutes in an hour long ceremony! During the ceremony, my dad asked them to play, my uncle asked, the priests husband asked, and even I did WHILE I WAS GETTING MARRIED! The guitarist straight up Said no! When I told Peter how disappointed I was he said the musicians weren't given any cues to play. 4 people, including me, the bride asked them to play and they refused- what More cue did they need?
I got lots of excuses in emails and a phone call from the violinist who said Peter never gave them the information I sent about thr playlist.
Eventually, Peter said he'd refund my money but then he Said he was out of town and when he got back, refused to answer my emails. It's been over a month since my wedding and even the pictures show the musicians just standing around! They don't care that it's one of the most important days in a person's life or that they're in breach of their contact.
Please use another company if you want live music because this shouldn't happen to anyone else.

The right music can make a moment.
The perfect music at your wedding makes magic.
I will never forgot my wedding and the music that Charleston Virtuosi provided. Peter created a set list that fit us as a couple. We had some special songs we wanted and they were there. We were also stumped for some songs and with his guidance we came up with better solutions than I could have imagined.
Thank you so much Charleston Virtuosi. You gave us magic.

As professional musicians, the music for our wedding was extremely important to us. Charleston Virtuosi was seriously the perfect touch to the whole day. We booked Le Pumpe, their gypsy jazz band, for our laid back morning ceremony and reception and it was the exact vibe we were hoping for. They sounded amazing and really looked the part, and we got so many compliments from our guests!
They also provided music before the ceremony and added the violin, which was so nice and totally unexpected (thanks Peter!). Peter was very quick to respond to emails, very easy to work with, and provides music for all tastes and styles. Charleston Virtuosi was definitely one of our best wedding planning decisions!

Charleston Virtuosi was absolutely perfect for our wedding! We hired the Trio play at our ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ Jake B and Peter playing the electric violin at our reception and everything was wonderful. The trio played the exact songs i requested and Charleston Virtuosi provided all of the microphones and speakers we needed at the outdoor ceremony. We decided to hire Peter to play the electric violin at our reception and it was so fun for our guests, really tied in an artsy version to Jake B's DJ'd music and allowed everyone to enjoy the music selection. It was fabulous!

So perfect!
I had the very talented string quartet play at my wedding. I had two special requests and Peter was able to play both ... I wanted to walk down the aisle to "Across the Universe" by the Beatles, and they executed it flawlessly-- my groom didn't know and he couldn't help but tear-up! It was so beautiful. 100% worth the splurge.

My husband and I saw Peter and his DJ Jake at a wedding in May and loved them. The idea of having a live instrumentalist play with a DJ was unique to us and we quickly wanted to lock him in. Unfortunately, this was the worst decision we made.
At first Peter was great. But when we requested a sax player instead of him (we didn't want to copy our friends), he seemed resigned and then paid little attention to us. I asked if we could pick our music and he agreed. However when we got the list of songs to choose from Jake, we were pretty upset. There was very little music that we would choose. Most of it was pretty cheesy. When we asked if he had more to choose from, we were told that we had to create our own playlist for our own wedding. Fine, no problem. (But isn't that a DJ's job?)
Cut to day of. I had arranged with the sax player to play a specific song for me as I walked down the aisle. It was a song that meant a lot to me and my late father. A new sax player arrived (no one had told us anything) and had no idea what I was talking about. After all the jerking around with the songs, this was the last straw and I started to cry. On my wedding day. Thank god it was pre-make up. I cleaned myself up and talked myself down.
But then the DJ did not play any of our songs. He did at first and then went back into his cookie-cutter routine. All I had wanted to do was dance and sing at my own wedding. And I was not able to.
When we called to complain afterwards, Peter blamed us. He said we had not provided enough music, which was untrue. We gave him 150 songs when Jake only requested 100. Peter also blamed the fact that we did not have a wedding coordinator because they would have talked to the DJ. What? You mean with all the hassle of putting together our own music, at our own expense, we still had to tell the DJ to play what we had given him?!
I am disgusted with Peter and the way he does business. He is great if you want the same old cookie-cutter dance songs that they are used to playing. But don't expect any creativity or deviance from that. I am so upset I spent my money with him. I could have made a Spotify list and been happier than I was. It would serve you to go elsewhere.

Jessica,
I am very sorry I didn’t deliver music experience at your wedding as you’ve expe...
cted and probably I am the worst person on the planet for you!
My clients are always satisfied with my work and I love what I am doing.
You are actually the first client who has ever complain about my DJ services and me. I am sad reading your negative review but I understand I cannot satisfy every costumer.
I am actually very surprised receiving this review from you guys!!!
You and Derek booked my DJ because you saw him live performing in Charleston at your friend’s wedding!
Regarding the playlist, I met Derek (your husband) personally on Wednesday, three days before your wedding in NYC to pick up the flash drive with the music selection so I can deliver this package to Jake following day in Charleston. Your wedding was on Saturday.
I’ve never told you that you didn’t provide enough music! I’ve told you the music you gave us was not the best music for dancing or partying and that’s why the DJ played songs that he knows so your guests can dance and have fun!. He has performed at over 100 weddings and he knew what he was doing.
I am not sure if you know this but Jake took many music requests from your guests during the evening!
I’ve heard from Jake that your guest actually enjoyed the performance and his music selection as well as the performance of the sax player.
Regarding the sax player, it might be my fault but I didn’t expect that you need his performance during the actual ceremony on the beach. I’ve never received the ceremony music selection from you. That’s why I mentioned the wedding coordinator to your husband Derek when I was on the phone with him.
The wedding coordinators take care of these small details, sending the exact timeline or the music selection. Yes, I had to replace the sax player due to his health conditions We improvise during our performance with a DJ and there was no need for this. I wanted you to enjoy your week and don’t to worry about this little detail.
We should also mention that 3 weeks before your wedding, on August 17th (your wedding was on September 1st) you sent me an email telling me that you no longer need our performance and you will just use an iPad. That’s kind of weird, don’t you think?
I wish you guys lots of love, luck and happiness!
Best,
Peter Kiral

Charleston Virtuosi's Le Pumpe played both at our ceremony and reception. They did a beautiful job capturing the 1940's vintage vibe of our wedding through an assortment of classic jazz. There musicians were wonderful and accommodated requests and even helped a friend of ours by letting him borrow a music stand for his own performance. I would highly recommend Le Pumpe to anyone who wanted romantic music played during their wedding.

We chose to have the bluegrass/Americana band the Cattle in the Cane for our 4th of July wedding ceremony and reception and THEY WERE AWESOME!! Emailing the manager, Peter, throughout the process was very pleasant and he responded very quickly to all of my emails. We were nervous at first because we had never heard the band live before, only clips online, but were blown away at our choice when the big day arrived!! We even had guests at our wedding ask how to book them for their wedding:) Here are pictures that include the band: http://www.danacubbageweddings.com/blog/chelsey-matt-july-4th-creek-club-at-ion-wedding/

Having Charleston Virtuosi play during my ceremony and cocktail hour was hands down the right decision! Peter was quick to respond to any emails/questions I had and even helped me choose my music selections. During our ceremony, they played "Close Your Eyes" by James Taylor while we were lighting our unity candle-- which was a big deal because I literally told Peter with a days notice we wanted the song played. I hired Charleston Virtuosi for my wedding ceremony as well as my reception. I cannot begin to say enough about this wonderful group of people. In the beginning, I wasn't sure exactly what ensembles I wanted nor what type of music I wanted them to play. The planning was made simple by the representative I dealt with. He worked with me to figure out the best fit for my wedding. He asked questions and made suggestions. He was an absolute pleasure to work with. I hired an acoustic solo guitarist for the ceremony. She was very professional, dressed appropriately and extremely talented. She was perfect for the quaint, romantic ceremony at a historic chapel. For my reception, I hired a string trio. I was blown away by this group of musicians! They weren't just talented. They added so much life to my reception! A great reception with wonderful food and beautiful decor was taken to a whole new level by Charleston Virtuosi. My guests didn't just enjoy the music played. They were making requests, erupting in applause and cheering on the band. The crowd really responded to the music and it made the reception so much fun! I would recommend Charleston Virtuosi in a heartbeat!

As equally as I was astonished with my fiancé, I was more than impressed with the performance by Peter and his trio for my cocktail hour and wedding ceremony. As a bride, I can safely say that it is very difficult to find a group that could encompass all of the details that I desired for my very special day. Not only did all of the technicalities finish without any difficulties, but my family and friends were mesmerized by such a stunning musical performance--with all of the classical range and ambiance that I desired. I was contemplating going for a musical performance that was much more modern (including Peter playing electric violin paired with an experienced DJ) and Charleston Virtuosi was able to accommodate any of my personal visions for this day. Although I ultimately decided on a much more classical musical set, I was very content that this group was able to perform on many different dimensions. I would recommend their services to any of my friends and family planning of getting married! My overall satisfaction with their performance and professionalism makes them a highly recommendable group. This particular set of musicians is composed of highly talented individuals who have studied at various music conservatories around the globe; and therefore are on the higher price range of other musical groups in the area, but I would accept short of the most highly trained musicians to accompany my walk with my father down the aisle to meet my groom. Anything short of the highest quality on my special day is simply unacceptable! Thank you Charleston Virtousi for providing a truly unparalleled performance!

Peter Kiral, the manager of the group, also suggested that I book their jazz guitar duo to perform during our wedding reception. All of the musicians did an amazing job and we are delighted they were part of our big day. I highly recommend the Charleston Virtuosi to every future bride!

When we were planning our wedding in Charleston, we definitely wanted a string trio or a string quartet. We were so very fortunate to have found Peter Kiral and his virtuosi. They were simply amazing! We really wanted to incorporate a few contemporary pop songs in the repertoire and the Charleston Virtuosi happily complied. They made our evening one that we shall never forget!

I had attended a friend's wedding last spring and was captivated by the string trio. I was in the early stages of planning my own wedding and was so fortunate to have found the Charleston Virtuosi. They were very professional and easy to work with. I needed a singer and Peter provided me with an exceptional performer. I highly recommend the Charleston Virtuosi to anyone who wants to add that perfect touch to such a wonderful event.

Peter was so helpful and patient with me as a pestered him over every detail. And even when the members changed last minute, I wasn't stressed. They are such the professionals and were a beautiful addition to our ceremony.

I absolutely loved my ceremony music and the musicians from Charleston Virtuosi- It was one of my favorite parts of the entire day! Peter Kiral and his team of players were absolutely fabulous and a wonderful find. I only met with them once while planning my wedding because it was destination- and Peter and his musicians took care of the entire ceremony from just that one meeting. They were prompt, played everything according to plan, and it went off without a hitch. I am so happy I chose to go with live music and you will be too. Choose these pro's you won't be disappointed!

Charleston Virtuosi has a refined beautiful sound because the group has great talent. Their repertoire list is quite varied. Although we chose some pieces from this list we were able to choose selections that were not included. Their musicianship and professionalism is unmatched. Peter is very organized, professional, and willing to go over and beyond the expected. He met us in Charleston before the wedding to perform for us and
to give suggestions. He surrounds himself with other musicians who have demonstrated their expertise. Peter returned e-mails promptly and made phone calls to confirm details. You can't go wrong with Charleston Virtuosi!
