We absolutely loved having our rehearsal dinner at Charlie Palmer!!! Ever since the first time my husband and I came there, we fell in love with the place. When we came for our tour of the restaurant, Carleigh (the catering/events manager) invited us to stay for complimentary drinks and dinner at the bar. Naturally, we thought that she meant a free round of drinks, and then we would have dinner at the bar. Instead, they gave us three rounds of wine each, 5 courses plus desert, in addition to desert to go, all for free!! The staff was absolutely amazing. What was nice was we were hanging out at the bar area before dinner because we ended the rehearsal early. And while we were hanging out, we had the same bar tender who waited on my husband and I the first time we were there! Going from there to the rehearsal dinner, I can't rave enough about the food. It was absolutely amazing, and I cannot say enough good things about this place. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

Our wedding reception at Charlie Palmer Steak was exactly what we had hoped for. Tracy Kinnahan was a dream to work with, coordinating seamlessly with my florist, DJ, cake maker, and wedding coordinator. More importantly, she was always incredibly available, responsive, and engaged in our personal communications by phone and email. We hosted about 100 guests for pre-dinner cocktails in one of the private dining rooms and a plated dinner in the main dining room -- there was more than enough space for everyone plus a substantial dance floor and bar area. The interior was perfect for us (comfy chairs and lots of natural light were two of our venue requirements) and you just can't beat the view onto the Capitol grounds in late summer. We were even able to get some photos with that iconic rooftop view. Our guests loved the quintessential D.C. feel, the waitstaff - especially chief bartender Lamar - was professional and fun, and we all still reminisce about the delicious food (our third requirement)!! We loved our experience so much that we recently returned for our first wedding anniversary. We really felt that Tracy, Lamar, and all at CPS were happy to share in our day with us, and that is priceless. This is a wonderful venue if you are looking for a classic, comfortable space with outstanding service from start to finish. Highest recommendations from us!
