After my trial, I ended up changing my mind and wanting to do a full updo to keep my hair from getting sweaty during the day, and asked Dara to make a few adjustments to my makeup as well. Dara was so open to my feedback and changes, and my hair and makeup turned out even better than I could have imagined on my wedding day! Dara was communicative, punctual, attentive, and also so good at helping people feel beautiful. Getting ready on the wedding day is such a fun experience and Dara helped make it such a joyful environment. All of our bridesmaids and our moms looked so naturally stunning!

I had some concerns afterwards in terms of how the makeup looked in photos, some cakiness on my face, and the makeup’s ability to last. Dara really listened and we had another trial a few months later. I still had some concerns about how the makeup looked for the second trial. Dara heard my concerns and we worked together to come up with some solutions (lip stain/24 hour lipstick so not to have so much makeup transfer, a much darker pigmented black eyeliner per my preference, etc) Dara did my hair and makeup for both our traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony as well as for our western/standard wedding day. She nailed it! I felt so beautiful! I still looked like myself, but just more glamorous! I felt like Dara really listened to my concerns and adapted to what I was wanting/looking for. She also did an awesome job with my mom and mother in laws makeup for the tea ceremony. She did my MOHs hair and makeup on the traditional wedding day. My MOH has super curly hair naturally, and Dara really knew how to work with curly hair (having curly hair herself). She was able to really accentuate my MOHs curls, while stil styling it into an elegant and beautiful half up/half down style. Overall would really recommend Dara and her team!

wasn’t wearing what I considered “too much” and made sure to check in with me each step of the way both at the trial and on the day. Her and Shiloh (her hair assistant) were so fun to hang out with while they did hair and makeup for my bridal party as we were getting ready throughout the morning. All of my bridal party was complimentary of them, and I loved my hair and makeup, I’d recommend them to any bride!

3.5 hours! We all looked amazing, and the hair and makeup held up through hours of dancing and sun. They were attentive to everyone's requests whether it being color matching certain lipstick shades, different hairstyles, helping me secure my veil, using the hair pins I got from Etsy, etc. Dara was sure to confirm I liked everything at my trial and made all the changes I requested for the big day. I would definitely recommend Charmed Beauty, especially if you have a big wedding party! They helped make me feel more calm and kept things running through the craziness that is the wedding day. You won't regret choosing Charmed Beauty!

I never liked it and always had felt it didn’t look good on me. So I was nervous going into this. But Rachael immediately impressed me and put me at ease. Not only is she incredibly sweet and kind, but her work speaks for itself. She is passionate about her industry and it reflects in her work. They did hair and makeup for me and my 5 bridesmaids and made it such a smooth, fun, and enjoyable day! The bridal preview was a great way to see what to expect and was well worth the money - this is saying a lot because I am especially cautious with my money. On the day of my wedding, she and her team went out of their way to make us feel at ease, and gorgeous! Not only did we get done up, but we also had a great time. I am so happy I chose her. I love looking back at my photos and being so happy with the work they did. I felt absolutely beautiful. ng earlier this month. On both occasions she conducted herself at the absolute height of professionalism and she is also one of the sweetest people ever. For my wedding Rachel was a real trooper, tackling hair for all my bridesmaids as well as hair and make up for myself and my mother. She really came through for me despite some extenuating circumstances that came up just before my big day. In fact, she was an incredibly calming presence for me working through some last-minute jitters as she did my hair. Then, earlier this year, when the stylist my best friend was planning to use broke her leg, Rachel was able to step in at the last minute and she made everything SO easy for us. The cherry on top of all this is her incredible talent for bringing your style to life exactly how you imagined. I received SO MANY compliments on my wedding day, and even a fair few acting as MOH for my friend. If you have the opportunity to work Rachel you should absolutely do it, I can’t imagine having a better experience than I have had working with her.

I also loved Rachael because she made my mom (66), mother in law (50), and Aunt (78) look so fresh and beautiful. It takes a lot of great skill to make older women feel gorgeous on such a big day and Rachael and her team did that. They loved their looks. I also loved Rachael because she felt like a girlfriend doing your hair and makeup and made me so relaxed and at ease on the day of. Her stylists were so warm and relaxing as well and put up with my wisecracking younger sister. The hair was perfect and lasted all the way into the dancing late night. I would recommend Rachael again and again! She is an absolute dream to work with!

my wedding day. I came to her house for a wedding makeup preview on the day of my engagement shoot. Rachael was gracious enough to host me early in the morning since our engagement shoot was at about 9AM. Rachael made me feel very comfortable as she is very sweet, offered me something to drink, and we slipped into easy conversation. She made me look flawless and I have a lot of acne scarring. She did the exact bronzey smokey eye look I wanted and my foundation felt like it would last without looking cakey. Rachael does fake eye lashes standard and they looked amazing!! I had done my hair myself and Rachael was kind enough to add a little more teasing too it to spruce it up a bit before I headed out to my engagement session. I believe the preview cost around $125. Rachael was excellent at communicating via email. When it came time to figure out my wedding timeline I wanted to make sure we weren't rushed to get all of the hair and makeup done for me, my five bridesmaids, my mom and the flower girl. Rachael gave me great feedback and even promised to bring a second makeup artist. She always responded quickly and was very sweet and reassuring in her emails. Rachael was very prompt the day of. She and her assistant brought their own chairs and got right to work. Everyone looked amazing when they were done. My mom, who rarely wears much makeup said she felt gorgeous and not overdone; she looked like a bombshell. I believe the cost was $125 for my makeup and then $65 for makeup for everyone else but the flower girl. I paid by check the day of. I can't speak highly enough about Rachael. I want to go to a fancy even that merits getting my makeup done again just so I can visit Rachael and have her work her magic.
