LE through it all. I really don't know what we would have done without her guiding us through these last 16 months. She seriously feels like a family member and we will forever be grateful for her. We were the first wedding ceremony to take place on Charter Oak's new outdoor patio, and it was absolutely beautiful in every way. The indoor reception space is stunning and elegant, the food is exceptional (you must try the coconut shrimp!!) and the service is top-notch. I still find myself thinking back on our day and how many times Joanne was there to take my bouquet or fix my train, and Stephanie was there to line up the wedding party and make sure they were ready when it was their turn. I truly don't think I had one single moment of worry the entire night. That's when you know you have an incredible team of people. We heard several times "this is the best wedding I've been to in a very long time" from many guests that night and it's all thanks to them. I could go on and on, but thank you to Joanne, Stephanie, and the entire staff at Charter Oak for the most PERFECT dream day after a long and challenging year of not knowing what was to come. We cannot thank you enough and we hope we cross paths again soon!

All the appetizers were done gluten free, we had a gluten free cheese and cracker table. Also all the meals were done gluten free for anyone who needed one. Our outdoor ceremony was absolutely beautiful and perfect. Beautiful venue. I highly recommend Charter Oak.

t has earned from others who have attended events there. However, after taking a tour and meeting with Joanne, I knew this was the venue for me and my husband. Joanne is AMAZING at what she does. She knows the details of planning a wedding inside and out and was there for me every step of the way in the planning process. She made sure I was happy with all of the decisions and details we arranged and went out of her way to accommodate any requests or dreams I had for my big day. The day of my wedding was better than I ever could have hoped! The food was incredible, the staff was so professional and timely, and Joanne made sure the entire night ran smoothly and that I could enjoy my day without worry or stress. I owe Joanne and her staff for the wonderful time me and my guests had and for making my wedding day everything I could have imagined and more. Thank you Charter Oak!

got married last week. We had planned for the ceremony to be outside, but of course it ended up raining. We moved the ceremony to being inside, but no worries, it was still beautiful. Joanne is a saint! She helped us every bit of the way. It was such a pleasure working with her. She is very organized and helpful with any question we had. Could not have gotten married without her, really! Not to mention, everyone raved about the food! We had filet mignon and stuffed chicken. CAN'T EVEN begin to describe how wonderfully tasty the food is. 10/10 would come back here just to eat if that was possible.

all of my centerpieces on my own and each tables centerpiece was a bit different. I was nervous that they wouldn’t look how I envisioned when I walked into the room but thanks to Joanne they were everything I had hoped fore and more!! She was by our side throughout pictures making sure we had everything we needed. If we needed water, champagne, a seat etc. she was on it! The entire staff at Charter Oak was attentive and wonderful. I honestly can’t say enough good things. From the very beginning I knew I would be in good hands. Joanne always made me feel like everything was taken care of and like there was nothing to worry about. She is simply the best. The Venue itself was everything we had hoped for. It was the perfect venue for our 220 guests. One of the big factors in booking Charter Oak for our reception was how beautiful it was outside as well as inside. I knew if it was raining that we would still have some beautiful photos outside because of the brick and pillars in the front of the venue. I had so many people come up to me and say how unbelievably beautiful the venue was. The food was also amazing and all of our guests raved about it.

o host any size wedding. Our wedding was 100 people and the room did not feel too big. The cocktail hour room is a bit more intimate with a large bar and plenty of room to sit, stand or walk around and chat with guests. The food is AMAZING. We served chicken piccata and the filet. We received so many compliments about the filet. It was perfection! The rest of the food and dessert (no cake a dessert table) was also delicious. Joanne and her staff were highly organized and professional. The day went off without a hitch or a worry on my end. Joanne was prompt, gave good advice and was very easy to work with. She is great at her job! You can not go wrong with a wedding at Charter Oak.

My dad got left behind at our hotel and it was almost time to walk down the aisle, if i had sent someone to go get him it would have taken too long, but joanne had a plan as always! Joanne called the hotel and had the hotel manager drive my father over to the venue to save time, how amazing! really i could go on and on about this place, but in general they were all wonderful from start to finish. And the venue itself is gorgeous! the pictures really dont do it justice you have to see for yourself. r how to make the wedding perfect. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking for photographs and the area is perfectly manicured. Inside, the room is large enough to hold 200+ but was still felt great when our wedding ended up down below 150. The dance floor was large, the bar was well stocked, and every member of the staff was pleasant and professional. I cannot count how many of our guests told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. If you are looking for a place for your fairytale wedding RUN, don't walk, to Charter Oak CC.

She was there anytime we needed something. She took care of things behind the scenes so that my husband and I could enjoy the day without interruption. She really went above and beyond to make the day the best it could be, and she really put us at ease. The room and venue was absolutely beautiful. We've gotten countless compliments from our friends and family about the venue, as well as the food. I was impressed with the price of the venue, considering what upscale service, food and ambiance they offer. I would highly recommend Charter Oak to anyone looking for a beautiful day and lovely experience leading up to it.

The grounds and setting are second to none. The wedding coordinators were very helpful. From our first meeting with Laura we could tell that we were in good hands.She made us feel welcome and at ease, she guided through the process of booking the venue and made the whole decision less daunting. Then we met with Kim "Charter Oak" wedding coordinator, who was extremely helpful. Kim's attention to detail in a patient professional way was remarkable. she is knowledgeable, professional and organized. She guided us through all aspects of the final wedding arrangement and rehearsal. Kim's calming personality and attention to detail in preparation for the wedding, and her management on the day of the wedding was exceptional. The food was delicious and portion size was generous. We received great feedback from our guests who appreciated the great food and of course the exceptional venue. I would highly recommend Charter Oak to anyone who is looking for a truly special venue and memories to last a life time.

Even though she does many weddings every year, you can tell your wedding is very important to her. She made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. The venue itself is spectacular. The ballroom is elegant, and the cocktail hour room and balcony overlooking the grounds are beautiful. The food was incredible. We chose the surf and turf, but they accommodated every special request we had. Vegetarian, no seafood, no fat, gluten free, they did it all. The day of, the staff, led by Kim and Susan, pulled off an incredible day. They were really on their game. We were very happy with our venue choice.

dding coordinator, Kim. The grounds around the country club are kept up well, and offer lots of spots for pictures. Inside, the ball room can accomodate small or large weddings. I am particular about the ceiling of an event space, as it is often overlooked. I don't like white "office" tile, and Charter Oak has none of this. The ball room has grand chandeliers and no office tile! The cocktail lounge is also quite elegant, and offers flexibility with how the ball room is used. The food was excellent, and the choices of food were very good. Best of all, the wedding coordinator Kim handled so many details. She stayed throughout the reception, even making sure my wife and I got extra cake! I am very happy I chose Charter Oak. I recommend it for anyone looking for a classy space with excellent service.

5 star professional service, nice and helpful staff and the best of all - the wedding coordinator Kim. She is just a gift - very nice and friendly, helpful, responsible and reliable, absolutely knows her stuff (in fact she herself had had her wedding at Charter Oaks even before she started working there). Charter Oak is not just a wedding reception venue, it is the place that understands your needs and wants, the place that makes it easy and stress free for you on your special day, they literally take care of everything. From the moment we first checked out the place, Kim was constantly in contact with us, answering all our questions and helping us to plan the wedding. Since it was a destination wedding for us, she even took care of the wedding cake for us and did an outstanding job (we only gave her the budget and criteria, all the rest she handled herself and then just sent us the results of the different tastings). Another amazing thing about Charter Oak CC is how this grand venue handled our intimate wedding of 30 people. At first, it was supposed to be 50 people, but because it was a destination wedding for many of our guests, we received a lot of declining responses and got down to the number of 30 ... and it was not a problem. Charter Oaks did not charge us any extra fees for not keeping the initial number. So we ended up having a luxurious place for the intimate dining and it was just fabulous. Another great thing that made us once again realize how lucky we were to go with Charter Oak CC was when they rescued us from a huge amount of stress: 2 days before the wedding when we were dropping off our things at Charter Oaks our photographer called us and cancelled ... before we even started panicking, Kim immediately called 5 photographers and found 2 available for then to be "the day after tomorrow" and 1 of them was within our budget and turned out to be so great. And of course, on the day of the event everything was perfect. Charter Oak's staff made sure everything was going by plan and that all the vendors were there on time and everything was delivered alright. Kim herself was there from early morning until the end to make sure everything was under control. They provided me with the beautiful bridal suite including all the snacks and water where my mom, maid of honor and I could get ready for the ceremony so the groom doesn't see me (he was getting ready at the hotel). Kim was there for me all the time, helping me with bustling my gown after the ceremony, putting the floral blossoms into my hair after taking off the veil, etc. Both my husband and I could go on for hours on how grateful we are to Charter Oak CC and their wonderful wedding coordinator Kim for making our special day so magnificent and absolutely no-stress. All our guests loved it there and as for my husband and I, we lived a fairy tale that day, all thanks to Charter Oak CC.

was perfectly sized; not too grand but not a tight squeeze. As far as the food, we have had heard nothing but RAVE reviews. Not only did it taste fantastic (not even close to typical wedding food) but the portions were very generous. The "bang for our buck" was apparent in all aspects of the event. We also received fantastic service from start to finish. Kim was kind, knowledgeable and professional at every step. Perhaps what really stood out was their attentiveness the day of the wedding. One member of the staff volunteered to blow dry my dyed shoes in the locker room so they wouldn't stain my dress and when my father's old tux shoes started to crumble to pieces they searched the facility and found a pair of black shoes to lend him for the evening! And at the end of the night, the care they took in wrapping and organizing all our belongings was very much appreciated. I would recommend Charter Oak in a heartbeat. Our guests were wow'd but also felt comfortable all night. Some high class venues can feel stuffy, but Charter maintains a comfortable vibe. Can't say enough!

We didn't give COCC very much direction in how we wanted thing set up for our reception and they did an amazing job. They even had us go up to the ballroom the day of (after our ceremony & before our guests arrived) to ensure everything was how we expected it. The waitress Dee, assigned to the bridal suite ensure everyone was comfortable, fed and hydrated while we hid out during the cocktail hour and Susan (not exactly sure her roll) paid special attention to us (bride & groom) make sure everything was going how we wanted! I would highly recommend COCC to any bride & groom without hesistation. Not a single bad thing to say about them. Everyone loved the food and service and we are still getting comments from guests about how wonderful it was!

by the end of the night you notice the open bar tab is totally outrageous to make up for the cost. Gave an arbitrary $ amount with no itemized bill.... Wedding director wouldn't let groomsmen drink until after dinner, and the bar went from serving 2 drinks per person to only 1. Guests were pretty upset with this and the line was fairly long. When a guest complained, the director stands by the quote "we get our business either way". Wedding director clearly can't control large crowds drinking. She shut the bar down early and proceeded to call two police cruisers. Make sure you have them clarify everything before hand or there will be some issues at the end of the night. No wedding cake for couple as they returned from honeymoon. They claim it was used.... Worth looking but beware

There was not a detail overlooked on my wedding day. The staff took care of my and my party, while making sure my husband and his party were comfortable as well. We had a number of young kids involved in our wedding and they were not once looked at as annoyances. They were even provided with fruit salad during the salad course. (attention to detail again) And the FOOD- it was amazing. I got so many compliments both that night and after that the food was by far the best anyone had had at a wedding. And many comments about the overall setting- it was just a beautiful night. I can't say enough about Charter Oak and I can't say it well enough. IMHO- stop looking, this is the venue you want. Oak. So I made the decision to switch my wedding to Charter Oak and it was the best decision I have ever made. From the incredible food tasting, to the one-on-one meetings with the most relaxed and profession wedding coordinator, Christine Mazri, Charter Oak is top notch. On my wedding day I did not have a care in the world knowing that my wedding was in the hands of Christine and the staff at Charter Oak. Upon arrival I was greeted by Christines smiling face, and near by was a member of the wait staff with a glass of champagne and some of the best hors d'oeuvres that I have ever tasted. The level of service, not only to my husband and I, but to every single guest at my wedding was unbelievable. My wedding was talked about for weeks after for the beauty, service and especially the food. We chose the combination plate of filet mignon and baked stuffed shrimp, and after dinner there was not a hungry guest in that ballroom. I would highly recommend this venue to my closest friends, family and newly engaged couples looking for the perfect place to host the most important day of their life. Good luck, and you will not be disappointed if you choose this venue!!

I explain to them that I had already seen the place and he had seen pictures on the website and we had definitely decided to have our wedding here but he was in town for an hour and would really appreciate looking at the ballroom for a moment. The awful woman told us that "there were members here, we were wearing jeans, and we would have to leave". They told us that we could come back tomorrow when there were no members there. I said that we couldn't because he was only in town today and I said forget it and that we were no longer interested anyway. I have never been treated so badly and I would never recommend this venue to any bride and groom
