My husband and I are so bad at posing and Macie knew exactly how to guide and talk us through to get the most beautiful pictures. We decided to book a 12-hour package and I'm so glad we did. Having Macie and her second shooter, Jake, there all day was so worth it. We just received our sneak peeks and they are STUNNING! If you're looking to book a talented, kind, professional, and awesome photographer, I cannot recommend Macie enough.

the details in the questionaire leading uo to the wedding. she was on top of everything I wanted for the day and was willing to adjust and change as I came up with one idea or another. we received our sneak peak and am already obsessed! if we were closer I would use her for all of my future life events.

d left. We got a sneak peak in two weeks and the full amount over a month later. I received 385 pictures unfortunately 79 were duplicates made into black & white, there were some that were blurry and had to be cropped, and the ones of our family just look bad with no posing and uneven alignment. There are some good ones, don't get me wrong what she took of the building and our decorations were nice. We gave Macie full creative control based on what we saw on her website but the quality and creativity of work we received didn't reflect that. Most of what we got seemed careless and could’ve been achieved with a cell phone. A year of planning our wedding, thousands of dollars spent, countless hours of work, people that traveled from several states to celebrate with us and the pictures to document all that are lacking and left us very disappointed.

a bit nervous for the engagement shoot since we'd never done a photo shoot before, and posing for pictures doesn't always come naturally to us. Macie made the whole process so easy and so much fun. She was incredibly professional and guided us gently but confidently so our pictures came out perfectly. At the wedding, she somehow was always in the right place at at right time, but also always discreet. She captured for us so many brief beautiful moments that could so easily have been missed. Our wedding photos were so beautiful, and not once were we stressed about pictures on our wedding day. Macie communicated clearly and was always very responsive. Her talent was so apparent in how she worked, and in the photos she delivered. It was so clear that Macie is more than a photographer, but a gifted artist with passion for her craft. I went straight to Instagram and started scrolling through pictures (in a panic) under hashtags for photographers in the smoky mountains/gatlinburg area and came across Chasing Lux (thank the Lord!). I messaged her knowing it was a long shot since it was so last minute. Macie messaged me back within the hour and was SO accommodating (even giving me options for days/times). The morning of our pictures it was raining & of course I forgot an umbrella. Macie gave me hers, stood in the rain to take our pictures, drove to multiple locations, and even got all of our pictures back to us exactly 1 week later. I will forever be thankful that Macie chose to help us out with such short notice and was a joy to be around. She turned a stressful situation into a fun memory for my fiancé and I. Macie is not just your average photographer. She has the kindest heart and a comforting personality. Please don’t give it a second thought and just BOOK CHASING LUX!

Besides being very affordable compared to other photographers we considered, she also delivers finished/edited photos more quickly and gives you TONS of images. I am pleased with every single photo I have that she has taken. Her photos print beautifully too. I have canvases, photo books, and many prints, and they always turn out perfect. Several people have told me that they did not see one bad picture from our wedding. She is very reasonably priced as well. As for someone who paid for most of my wedding, I know for sure Macie is budget friendly. I am so glad I chose her for all of my photography needs, and I will continue to choose her for years to come. You will not regret your decision in the slightest when you decide to hire Macie.
