We had my son's wedding reception at Davells and rented the entire venue for the event. It was a wonderful time. The food and drinks were fabulous. We had several comments on how the staff was engaged which made the event that much more fun.
We were there at sunset and it was magical. I had several people from both families thank us for putting together such a great event. The bride and groom had a wonderful time. What I enjoyed was all I had to do was have a good time because Eric and team handled everything. Thank you for such successful event!
We were browsing a few venue options, and Chateau Davell was an immediate yes for us! Not only did we enjoy the wine, but the beer list was impressive too. Do not pass up on the food either! Eric’s cooking is a CRAFT! My fiance and I have been back multiple times after touring the space to bring friends and family because we loved it that much! Incredibly welcoming place, Eric and Casey make it easy to come back for more drinks and food. Big win for us: Enjoyable for the grown ups AND kids. We are so happy to find this gem and look forward to keeping it a place we often go to 😄

Chateau Davell is a family owned winery in Camino, CA, established in 2009. We offer a rustic wedding venue with a beautiful view of the Sierra foothills. Our large lawn area and barrel room make stunning settings for receptions and other gatherings. All of our wedding packages can include a private bar with a professional bartender so couples and their loved ones can sample our signature wine blends.
We produce premium limited-production wines made without the use of dyes or other artificial additives. We are passionate about sustainability, and this can be seen in the use of reclaimed wood, metal, and other repurposed materials throughout our facility. We use recycled paper labels, glass, and FSC-certified corks for our packaging, demonstrating our commitment to creating a healthy environment at Chateau Davell Winery.
We are located just 45 minutes from Tahoe or Sacramento. We can accommodate small, intimate weddings or larger groups of up to 150. We offer entire venue rental or use of a single space, designing a bespoke experience for every couple who hosts their special day at our winery.

Eric Hays
Owner
Eric is the Owner and Winemaker for Chateau Davell. He is also our resident artist who created the art for our labels. Father of Charlotte and Auguste and son of Davell for whom he named the winery after. Born and raised in northern California where he has been making wine for 25 years.
Eric enjoys being a part of peoples weddings and hosting there special day. Before becoming a winemaker he hosted many weddings as a manager at various country clubs and restaurants in the Sacramento area.
