If a loud lawn mower going right through your outdoor ceremony and being asked to pay $6,000 that you already paid RIGHT before your reception introduction is your cup of tea, go for it. Frustrating is an under-statement. We signed on a year before our wedding date and worked with Sally up until 2 weeks before our wedding. We had red flags go up and in hindsight, we should have documented absolutely everything with them. Luckily we had asked for receipts to show them as we're downstairs getting ready to walk into our reception. Their restaurant manager and chef was probably the best experience we had with them. Their saving grace was hiring an outside coordinator. As beautiful as the location is, if we had known what we know now, we would have saved ourselves the anxiety and frustration before and during the wedding by going with a different venue.

A fall wedding at Chateau Morrisette was everything and more :) I was so lucky to have the Events Director, Sally Truslow, help me plan the most perfect day!

My husband and I met with Sally Truslow in Dec 2017. She listened to our every wish, worked with our small budget, and pulled together my dream wedding in two months. We were happily married on Feb 9th, 2018. The staff were incredible. My guests never went without. They absolutely loved the food. The wine is by far the best in VA. Sally and her team truly make dreams come true. All Brian and I had to do was show up, and we enjoyed every minute of our beautiful day. We have decided that we will spend every anniversary at the Chateau.

WOW! From start to finish shooting a wedding at Chateau Morrisette was just a dream. Sally Truslow, the wedding coordinator was on top of her game in EVERY area ALL the time. She is the energizer bunny running from one area to another all the while calm and cheerful. Serving as the wedding photographer, I was personally told everything that was happening prior to the event. She did this for EVERY vendor. I still can't figure out how she did it. There must be at least 8 clones of Sally! She was professional, brought us all water and anticipated our every need. The coup de grace was her getting permission for the bride and groom to drive in a horse-drawn carriage through the grape vines with me in tow! #excitedphotographer #dreamshoot
