Overall? Near perfection. Kelsey was lovely to work with (and Janine prior to the handoff). They dealt with my neurotic number-crunching and attention to detail so well.
Friends and family loved the staff. We got rave reviews for the bartender. We very much enjoyed interacting with the Event Captain and she made sure the entire event went off without a hitch.
Catering was delicious. We got legitimate compliments on the food. Nobody ever remembers the food at a wedding reception but Red Rock Catering crushed it.
The physical space was great – indoors and out. Chateau Rive worked with our florist, the photo booth folks, the DJ and the dessert setup to absolutely create the best arrangement possible. Our 114 guest count fit into the reception area just right.
I really can't stress enough just how amazing this experience was and how fantastic everyone at Chateau Rive was.
This was a wonderful venue perfect for our 50 guests. They worked wonderfully with our DJ from Complete Weddings and our officiant. Only downfalls for me were: The box elevator for handicap access wasn’t working and neither were the bathroom codes on the Bridal room floor 3, paid parking not included, misspelled my first name on the signs, bridal exit/appearance entrance wasn’t available on the 2nd floor due to construction. Even with these downfalls it was the best experience. The bartender and staff were wonderfully helpful and accommodating.
Great place for a wedding!! The catered Prime Rib was incredible!! Such beautiful pics by waterfalls!
Any questions?
This is a very pretty venue, but it is small for the price your getting. you only use the lowest level of the building and your guests have to go around and down an extremely long staircase. If you have guests who need wheelchair access, they must go through the back of the building down a dark service elevator. They only alow catoring through their venue and they tack on a 20% service fee to your bill. If you love it and it is in your budget, then go for it. Try have some good accommodations depending on your vision. But I would just keep in mind some of the drawbacks.
Chateau Rive at the Flour Mill was the perfect spot for our modern fairy tale wedding. We had our ceremony outside on the lawn over looking the Spokane River and our reception inside with the twinkle lights and chandeliers and couldn't have been happier with it! Working with Jodie and her team from Red Rock Catering that own the venue was easy and they acted as a wedding planner along the way making sure everything was taken care of!
Jodie was helpful and accessible throughout the planning process and worked well with our additional event planner (which she says she doesn't usually have to do). Our reception was absolutely beautiful and we had more than enough food, which was all delicious. One exception I guess is that our appetizers ran out before we got there, but I think that has more to do with how delicious they were than with any planning deficiencies because I still dream about those mini-Beef Wellingtons from the tasting. :)
As far as the event space, this is a perfect setting and worked especially well since we were blessed with a beautiful summer day. The waterfall was a perfect backdrop for guest photos and people enjoyed the breeze outside when the dance floor got too awesome. :)
Overall, I knew when I first toured this site that I needed to have my reception here and I've been very happy with the choice every step of the way. Thank you Jodie for a beautiful day!
We were just married at Chateau Rive, and it was perfect. Our coordinator, Jodie was so responsive and wonderful. The Red Rock staff was beyond amazing, and everything went off without a hitch. The dinner was so amazing, and we received so many compliments about the steak (it was AMAZING). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We could not have imagined a more perfect day, and will look back on it fondly.
Chateau Rive is a beautiful venue and it was perfect for our wedding. The staff works hard to set up for the event and then they work as if they are invisible. Trudy our event coordinator was on top of everything even with a broken leg. She will have your back 110%. Red Rock Catering was easy to work with and did a great job on the day of our wedding. The menu Red Rock offers has a lot of delicious choices and the prices are reasonable. The stuffed chicken is what we got and it was so good.
The venue was beautiful and perfect for a late summer/early fall wedding. I loved the availability of the outdoor space as well as the inside. The outside was perfect for a cocktail hour and the inside was great for dinner/dancing. The venue was reasonably priced for our budget but there was some back and forth of what would be an "extra cost" and what fees were included. If you use this venue I would suggest keeping record of what was agreed upon as far as prices and make sure to use it if they try to change the price. Other than that, the event staff was great, stayed out of the way and the food was good besides the bread which was terrible.
Such a beautiful historical site to get married in. The people we worked with were very nice and interested in making the day what we wanted. Indoor and outdoor space which was perfect for getting fresh air during the reception. They did all the est up and clean up and even tracked down to go boxes at the end of the night to make sure we took all the food and desserts home.
We ended up working with three different coordinators during the 10 months between booking the venue and our wedding day. The first two were great, they reached out to us to see how things were going, they were open to meeting with us if we had concerns. We were then informed a third coordinator would be taking over, as our second coordinator had accepted a new job. We were never formally introduced to the third coordinator, and the only interaction she had with either of us was when my husband went to her office to make the final payment on the venue.
While the other two coordinators assured us they would be onsite the day of and at the rehearsal, the third was nowhere to be found either day. If I had known that, I would have hired an outside day-of coordinator. We also had to contact them and remind them of particular terms in their contract we had to sign to have the damage deposit returned to us.
I don't want to harp on all the negatives though- the venue itself was beautiful, inside and outside. Their in-house catering was also fantastic! We went with a fajita buffet because why not, and our guests were extremely pleased. The staff that WAS on site (bartender and service staff) were fantastic and very professional and polite.
Chateau Rive is located in the basement of the Flour Mill. Do not let this fool you! The venue is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and set the perfect stage for our very romantic wedding! The catering was terrific and even provided us with take home boxes of food after the wedding!
This venue is great. The service was wonderful, the staff was awesome. It is beautiful location with the river, downtown views with great photo opportunitys
Chateau Rive is located in the bottom level of the flour mill. It has great views of the Spokane River, and has been renovated to make it a wonderful blend of rustic, elegant, and modern. While all of their employees were accommodating and professional I routinely had issues caused by them not communicating with each other. This resulted in them rescheduling my rehearsal less then two weeks prior to the wedding, rescheduling my tasting 15 minutes before we had planned to meet, and the wedding started late because they didn't have the sound system ready, or even at the venue.
