Chateau South

Chateau South is a wedding venue in Atlanta, Texas. This magnificent estate comprises 48 acres of beautiful grounds, at the center of which is a delightful chateau modeled after the famous Petit Trianon in Versailles, France. Virginia Brooks, who commissioned the project, used to travel extensively throughout Europe. When she visited the Palace of Versailles and saw the Petit Trianon, she fell instantly in love. She knew that she wanted to recreate that triumph of Neoclassical architecture in northeastern Texas. Mrs. Brooks imported stones from Italy to use in the building of Chateau South. The finished masterpiece even has two more windows than the chateau that Louis XVI gifted to Marie Antoinette in 1774. More than 60 years after its completion, Chateau South remains a masterpiece. Visitors are sure to admire the care and attention that went into every aspect of the building. The chateau features high ceilings, marble and hand-crafted wood floors, three fireplaces, and several rooms. The foyer, dining room, and living room are exquisitely detailed. The kitchen is of a more modern design and has an island, indoor grille, double oven, and a huge pantry room, perfect for food preparation. The chateau has six bedrooms, seven baths, and two half baths. It can sleep up to 10 guests, and you and your loved ones are welcome to stay for a night or the whole weekend.
