Chateau South

Chateau South is a perfect backdrop for fairytale weddings, being a palatial venue in Atlanta, TX. Also known as the Brooks Mansion, this French chateau was inspired by Marie Antoinette’s Petit Trianon Palace at Versailles. The Greek architecture, which had Europe in its grip at the time, fascinated Mrs. Virginia Brooks during her travels to France. She wanted to recreate it back home and ordered numbered Italian stones to remain true to the original. Thus, Chateau South was built. It was recently purchased and refurbished so that people would continue to allow this historic landmark to be a witness to their love stories. The lawn is an ideal site for an outdoor ceremony. Before you exchange your vows, relax and prep in one of the luxurious rooms. Host a cocktail hour by the pool for a romantic ambiance later on in the day, and then indulge in fine dining brought to you by one of the local restaurants for your reception. This grand estate is set against 48 acres of beautiful grounds and is home to marble and handcrafted wood floors, high ceilings, three fireplaces, and multiple living rooms. The bathrooms are made entirely from marble. Every room also has double French doors with vintage accents. The kitchen, built in 1960’s style, has been updated to house an island, indoor grill, double oven, and a pantry room. Chateau South welcomes outside vendors to give you total freedom to choose who gets to be a part of this important day.
