We just had our wedding here January 2017. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT have your wedding here! We had so many issues the week of our wedding, and every single issue was with the hotel...
.
I will not go into great detail, but here were the issues:
Room reservations incorrect
They cancelled suites we had booked six or more months in advance
They charged us for a presidential suite, but had one half of the suite being used by another family??
They threw away over half of our cake for no reason
The wait staff at the reception either threw away full, mini, personalized Jack Daniels bottles (or they stole them)
The Marriott did not stop people, or re-route people from the convention center. This could have been easily prevented, but strangers started coming up and trying to use our photobooth and open bar! And strangers were taking my picture... so awkward.
A heater broke in the reception room, so the room was 57 degrees when it was time for dinner. This is not acceptable!
Overall, this experience was a NIGHTMARE. I was hoping to at least enjoy some of the day of our wedding, but I spent it stressing about issues with the hotel.
Also, they have overcharged us countless times for food, alcohol, rooms, etc.
We chose the Chattanooga Marriott and was very pleased. The Hotel staff was unbelievable. The wedding/reception was in the same area. The wedding ceremony was held outside on a sec...
luded patio, and the reception was inside adjacent to the patio. The service was exceptional. Also included in our package was a room for the night, complimentary champagne, and their very own catering service. Our out of town guests had discounted rates to stay at the hotel as well. I would recommend this place to anyone who is planning any kind of celebration. It was incredible!!!
