I was initially on the fence about investing in a professional videographer because everyone I had looked into either cost thousands of dollars or was on the cheaper side but had extremely strict limitations on number of hours filmed, location ...changes, etc.
I found Chaves Videography through Thumbtack (a website where you put in the category of professional service you want, a price range, etc.) and was so impressed by their affordability and testimonials on their website that I just had to reach out to them. Andy and Katie Chaves were quick to respond and send me a set of sample DVDs from a wedding they had previously done, and I was sold.
Andy and Katie are a real-life married couple, so they completely understood the amount of trust the bride and groom have to put into a professional to capture the big day in the exact way the bride and groom want it. We were in contact all throughout our planning process, and we met up in person a couple weeks before the wedding to go through the timing and details for the day (even getting as specific as to which church bench Andy and Katie would be located during the ceremony), which definitely put me at ease. On the wedding day itself, Andy and Katie were professional and non-obtrusive, and I don’t think any of our guests felt “awkward” about having videographers around.
Overall, Andy and Katie put a great amount of time and consideration before, during, and after our wedding to make sure that they captured our day in its fullest. We love our video and will cherish it forever! I highly recommend Chaves for anyone who is looking for a quality video without spending a fortune.
