Owner, Chef Angela McCrovitz, has over 20 years of experience in the culinary world, and treats each dish as a work of visual art. She and her team have worked with events of varying sizes and budgets, and will customize your reception service to best suit your preferred style. While based in Merrillville, Chef’s Table will happily travel to venues throughout Chicago, Northwest Indiana, and Southern Michigan.
You will have an array of cuisines to choose from, including seafood, Thai, Korean, and American comfort food. Chef’s Table will provide you with customizable menus and private tastings, to ensure your list of dishes matches your personal style and wedding theme. In addition, the catering team can accommodate various allergy and dietary restrictions, to ensure that all your guests can enjoy your cocktail hour and reception.

Angela and her team went above and beyond the call of duty to make all of our experiences outstanding. During the trying times and uncertainty due to Covid-19, Angela handled every aspect of food preparation with the utmost professionalism. Our wedding was outdoors in the scalding month of July. They had every obstacle in front of them; from being outdoors, to transferring the food to a botanical garden, to keeping everything hot and fresh, all the while maintaining a sanitary and safe environment.
Of course everything turned out immaculate and every guest in attendance was more than satisfied with the quality of the food. This was more than just an average wedding dinner, this was by far the best food of any wedding my wife and I have ever attended!
We were so happy with Chef Angela right from the start as she hosted a very intimate wedding tasting for us and our parents. She didn't hesitate to go all out and provide every detail of what to expect. She also provided us with some of her very best work including an amazing Jerk Chicken, an extremely elaborate Chicago themed station, and the best potatoes and mac n cheese you could imagine.
Chef Angela was so easy to work with and was completely affordable. She offered us everything we requested and then some. She not even provided us with amazing food, but provided the cutest details and decor with each food station. Angela and staff were so great during the wedding and provided our guests with the most fun experience. We got several compliments about how fun, friendly, and great the staff was during the wedding.
We will no doubt be hiring Chef Angela in the future with any more events that we may have. I would encourage anyone to do the same. She is amazing and her food is of the highest quality around!
